Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. <B>217770.</B> Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Nothitifarbstoffes. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Methinfarb- stoffes, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man<B>p -<I>N</I> -</B> Methyl <B>-</B> isoheptylaminobenz- aldehyd vom Kp.", <B>175</B> bis<B>180' C</B> mit Cyanessigsäuremethylester umsetzt.
Der neue Farbstoff färbt Celluloseester und -äther in sehr klaren, grünstichig-gelben Tönen. Er besitzt ein hervorragendes Zieh vermögen und sehr gute Echtheiten. <I>Beispiel:
</I> <B>100</B> Gewichtsteile Cyanessigsäuremethyl- ester werden mit<B>235</B> Gewichtsteilen para-N- 31ethyl <B>-</B> isoheptyl <B>-</B> aminobenzaldehyd vom Kp.", <B>175</B> bis<B>180 ' C</B> (erhältlich durch Um setzung von N-Methyl-isoh#eptylanilin mit 3l,ethylform-#inilid und Phosphoroxyehlorid nach bekanntem Verfahren) in 400 Gewichts teilen Methanol unter Zusatz von 0,
4 Ge- wiehtsteilen Piperidin mehrere Stunden zum Sieden erhitzt. Nach beendeter Farbstoff- bildung wird mit Wasserdampf destilliert, bis das Methanol und Piperidin abgetrieben sind. Der im Wasser unlösliche Farbstoff wird ab getrennt. Er färbt Celluloseester und -äther in sehr klaren grünstichig-gelben Tönen, be sitzt ein hervorragendes Ziehvermögen und sehr gute Echtheiten.
Die zur Herstellung des Aldeliyds be nötigte Base wurde nach bekanntem Verfah.- ren aus Isohe_Utylalkoliol, Anilin und Salz säure und Methylieren des entstandenen Mono- isoheptylanüins hergestellt (Kp.",) 120<B>1 C.</B>

The new dye colors cellulose esters and ethers in very clear, greenish-yellow tones. It has excellent drawability and very good fastness properties. <I> example:

4 parts by weight of piperidine heated to the boil for several hours. When the dye has formed, it is distilled with steam until the methanol and piperidine have been driven off. The dye, which is insoluble in water, is separated off. It dyes cellulose esters and ethers in very clear greenish-yellow shades, has excellent drawability and very good fastness properties.
The base required for the production of the aldeliyd was produced by a known method from isohe_utylalkoliol, aniline and hydrochloric acid and methylation of the resulting monoisoheptylanuine (bp ",) 120 <B> 1 C. </B>
