Gasturbinenanlage.
Gas turbine plant. It is known to drive the compressor in gas turbine systems using a special turbine. The speed of the power turbine is generally constant, while the speed of the compressor turbine changes with the load. With the change in load, the ratio of the outputs to one another also changes, and the reduction in output of one turbine compared to the other must be compensated for in some way. Various types of construction are known to achieve this goal.
In all of them, however, the efficiency of the system at partial load is reduced by the measures taken.
According to the present invention, in a gas turbine system with at least one power turbine, at least one compressor turbine working on a special shaft and an intermediate heater between the two turbines, air is extracted from the compressor from at least one intermediate stage and fed between the two turbines. As a result, the temperature in front of the turbines can be maintained even at partial load and thus the highest possible efficiency of the system.
The accompanying schematic drawing relates to an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the compressor, 2 a heat exchanger, 3 the main combustion chamber, 4 the power turbine, 5 the intermediate heater, 6 the compressor turbine and 7 the power machine (e.g. an electric power generator.
The air sucked in by the compressor 1 is pressurized, heated in the heat exchanger 2 by the exhaust gases from the compressor turbine 6 and fed to the main combustion chamber 3, from where the combustion gases apply to the useful power turbine 4 and flow to the intermediate heater 5 and then the compressor turbine 6. After releasing part of the residual heat in the heat exchanger 2, the exhaust gases flow into the open.
The speed of the power turbine 4 is kept constant, for example, by the power regulator 8 seated on the power turbine shaft influencing the fuel supply (valve 9) to the main combustion chamber 3. The speed of the compressor turbine 6 changes with the load. The system is designed, for example, in such a way that, at normal load, the outputs of the two turbines 4 and 6 are sufficient to cover the full-load output of the high-performance machine i and the required compressor output of the compressor 1.
At part load, the pressure and speed of the compressor turbine 6 are reduced, and thus the ratio of the two turbine outputs to one another changes. In the assumed example, the output of the useful power turbine 4 will be too great, and indeed, depending on the load, the excess output of the useful power turbine 4 should run approximately according to FIG.
The delivery weight a is plotted as the abscissa as a measure of the useful power, and the excess power b is plotted as the ordinate. Curve c shows the course of the necessary compensation.
The compensation now takes place in that air is withdrawn from an intermediate stage from the compressor 1 and fed to the intermediate heater 5 through a line 10. This firstly reduces the power consumption of the compressor 1, the amount of air to the main combustion chamber 3 and thus the output of the power turbine 4. Correct control of the fuel valve 9 can keep the temperature in front of the power turbine 4 approximately constant.
The fuel supply (valve 11) to the intermediate heater 5 can also be influenced by the power regulator 8, as can the valve 12, which regulates the air admission from the compressor 1 to the intermediate heater.
The maximum permissible temperature in front of the power turbine can be kept approximately constant at all loads, as can the temperature of the intermediate heater 5. The power regulator 8 can balance the power of the two by influencing the fuel supply and the air withdrawn from the compressor in an intermediate stage Effect turbines. In the exemplary embodiment FIG. 1, the compressor turbine 6 is connected downstream of the useful power turbine 4; it could also be the other way around.
It is known that the temperature in the low-pressure part of the gas turbine rises at partial load due to the poor efficiency. The Zn, division of the turbine into a power and a compressor turbine makes it possible to manufacture the downstream turbine from cheaper material due to the lower temperature prevailing there at normal load.
However, since the temperature rises when the turbine is idling and with small loads due to the efficiency of the downstream turbine, which drops sharply with the load, the advantage of being cheaper should normally be disregarded.
It is now possible to reduce the temperature when idling and at very low loads, where efficiency is less important, by regulating the valves 11 and 12 accordingly. The downstream turbine can therefore be built from cheaper 3laterial without sacrificing efficiency with the higher partial loads.
Of course, the useful power and the compressor turbine can also be divided into several turbines. The intermediate heating can take place up to the temperature admissible for the material used or any lower temperature. The air withdrawn from the compressor can be added immediately before or in the intermediate heater or mixed in afterwards. will.
In any case, air is withdrawn from at least one intermediate stage from the compressor and fed to the propellant flow of the turbine downstream of the intermediate heater. This reduces the power consumption of the compressor, but even more the performance of the turbine fed by the main combustion chamber, which enables the turbines to be balanced even at part load.
