Gleichdruckgasturbinenanlage.
Constant pressure gas turbine system. It is known to regulate the performance of constant pressure gas turbine systems with the aid of a controller which changes the fuel supply when the load changes. This power regulation is to be preferred because of its simplicity, but not free from defects. Since the initial temperature of the propellant remains essentially unchanged with this type of power regulation, the starting temperature can reach impermissibly high values at low loads and correspondingly low compressor powers, which are suitable to endanger the life of the turbine.
In order to counter these disadvantages, it has already been proposed earlier that the discharge voltage should be reduced at the same time as the operating pressure is reduced in order to essentially maintain the original expansion ratio and thus the permissible temperature values. However, this method is practically impracticable because it requires very complex regulating devices.
In the case of constant pressure gas turbine systems in which two or more turbines are connected one behind the other, the case may arise that the turbines are no longer able to deliver the required power due to insufficient heat gradient.
The invention eliminates the existing difficulties in that in a constant pressure gas turbine system with at least one useful power turbine and at least one compressor turbine working on a special shaft, two control devices are provided, one of which, in the following for the sake of simplicity, called the power controller, by changing the fuel supply The total output regulates, while the other, hereinafter referred to as the additional controller, regulates the relationship between the individual outputs of the turbines.
The additional regulator can be controlled by inlet or outlet temperatures, by the pressures in front of or behind the turbines or electrically, e.g. B. from one of the power turbine driven electrical aggregate or also as a function of the speed of the speed of the turbine or by several of these influences at the same time. The additional regulator can be used to change the temperatures of the propellant. It can also have an effect in an increase or a reduction in the performance of the compressor turbine or he power turbine BEZW. the compressor turbines and power turbines. The additional regulator can also act on an additional Liche fuel supply, respectively by switching it on or off.
Increase or decrease the ratio of the individual power of the turbines to each other is changed. The changes in the total output resulting from this change in an additional fuel supply are in turn compensated for by the output regulator.
Fig. 1 shows an example of a Diagram mes, from which the dependence of the inlet and outlet temperatures of a constant pressure gas turbine and the compressor performance on the load on the system, it is evident. The abscissa is the load on the constant pressure gas turbine system and the ordinate is the inlet temperature t1 into the turbine, the outlet temperature t2 and the power L of the compressor. As can be seen from the diagram, the inlet temperature changes only very insignificantly under different loads. When the load decreases, it drops, for example, only to then increase again slightly due to the lower degree of efficiency of the compressor at smaller loads.
In contrast, the outlet temperature t2 rises very sharply at lower loads, which is due to the fact that the pressure of the propellant is reduced as a result of the lower compressor output and the state at the end of the expansion falls into a higher temperature range with the same back pressure. If t denotes the maximum permissible outlet temperature, which in the present case is set at a load of a, it can be seen that a regulation that works towards reducing the impermissible temperatures must be implemented here, but which cannot be achieved with the normal fuel regulation.
How the control can be carried out in detail according to the invention, will be described in the following, with reference to the Ausfüh shown in the drawing approximately examples.
The corresponding parts are provided with the same reference numerals in the various figures, namely L denotes the normal power controller, 1 a utility power turbine, 2 the machine driven by it, for. B. a power generator, 3 a compressor turbine, 4 a compressor driven by it, 5 the air intake line of the compressor, 6 a regenerator, 7 a combustion chamber, which flows from the line 8 fuel through the fuel valve controlled by the power regulator L, 10 the propellant line to the power turbine 1.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the power turbine 1, which drives an electrical generator 2, and the gas turbine 3 connected in parallel, which drives a compressor 4, are arranged on different shafts. The combustion air is sucked into the compressor at 5 and passed from this via a regenerator 6, in which the compressed combustion air is heated by exhaust gases from the turbines, into the combustion chamber 7, into which fuel is introduced through line 8 via an injection device .9 becomes. The power regulator regulates the amount of fuel injected, e.g.
B. a centrifugal force regulator L seated on the shaft of the power turbine 1. The heated mixture then passes through the line 10 to the two turbines 1 and 3. The feed line to the turbine 1 contains a control device 11 by which the amount of propellant flowing through is changed can. The exhaust gases flow from the two turbines through the line 13 to the regenerator 6, in which they give off part of their heat content to the compressed air, and from there to the outside.
If the load on the system is reduced ver, then only the amount of fuel is initially reduced by the power controller L by setting the injection valve 9 accordingly; but this reduces the compressor performance and the outlet temperature of the propellant of the two turbines increases. However, as soon as the outlet temperature reaches its maximum allowable value, z. B. exceeds the value denoted by t in FIG. 1, the additional controller becomes active. In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, this additional controller is a thermostat 24 which monitors the outlet temperatures of the power turbine or the compressor turbine. These thermostats, which can be used individually or together, act on the valve 11 through pulse lines 24 '.
If the outlet temperatures rise, the thermostat throttles the valve 11 with the effect that the compressor turbine absorbs a higher amount of propellant and the outlet temperatures are reduced by increasing the relative amount of air. The reduction in the power of the useful power turbine 1 caused by this additional control is compensated by the power regulator L.
If the load rises again, i.e. if the power regulator regulates an increased fuel supply, the compressor initially promotes increased excess air, which causes a reduction in the outlet temperatures, to which the thermostat responds in the sense that the valve 11 opens again more and thus the power of the power turbine is increased and that of the compressor turbine is reduced.
The additional controller can, as FIG. 2 shows, also be a speed or centrifugal controller 25, which sits on the shaft of the compressor turbine 3 and, depending on its speed, through a suitable connection, e.g. B. a linkage 25 'acts on the valve 11. If the load drops, that is to say if the power regulator L sets a lower amount of fuel, the speed of the compressor turbine drops. The additional regulator 25 throttles the valve 11 so that the compressor turbine receives more propellant and its performance increases again.
The regulating element 11 is expediently designed as a simple rotary slide valve or the like and is arranged in such a way that when this regulating element is in the open position in front of the turbine there is no significant throttle loss.
In the system shown in Fig. 3, which basically corresponds in structure to the system according to FIG. 2, an additional fuel injection 9 'is provided for the propellant flowing to the Kom pressorturbine, which is under the influence of the thermostat 24, which is in the outlet line of the power turbine 1 or compressor turbine 3 monitors the temperatures, while the power regulator L works as usual on the shaft of the power turbine.
In Fig. 4, the additional regulator is designed as a pressure regulator 27 which is under the pressure of the propellant flowing in the line 10 means. If the power regulator L reduces the fuel supply in 7, the pressure in the line 10 drops, the pressure regulator 27 starts up and throttles the propellant of the power turbine 1 by means of the valve 11, so that the compressor turbine 3 now receives more propellant and pumps more air .
The system according to Fig. 5 shows a thermostat 24 behind, the power turbine, which affects the valve 11, as laid out above. The compressor turbine 3 is a counter-rotating radial turbine that drives two compressors, the low-pressure compressor 4 'and the high-pressure compressor 4 ".
In this example, as in the example according to FIG. 2, the additional regulator is directly under the influence of the outlet temperature of the turbine.
In the line leading to the inlet of the Radialturbin.e an additional combustion chamber 7 'is inserted; the fuel injection is regulated by the valve 9 ', which is more or less opened or less under the influence of the centrifugal force regulator 25 (see FIG. 2). is completely closed. The arrangement and effect of the power regulator L is the same as that of the power regulator shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 and described with reference to these figures.
In the system according to FIG. 6, the useful power turbine 1 and the compressor turbine 3 are connected in series, so that the propellant first flows through the useful power turbine and then through the compressor turbine. The power regulator L acts on the fuel injection 9. A line 16 with a valve device 17 branches off in front of the high-pressure turbine and connects the line 10 to the inlet of the compressor turbine 3. A line 18 with a valve device 19 connects the outlet line of the turbine 1 with a lower expansion stage of the low-pressure turbine 3.
While in the system according to Fig. 2 when the permissible Auslasstempe temperature the control valve 11 was throttled, in the present case the control valve 17, which is otherwise closed, is opened somewhat, so that part of the propellant, bypassing the high pressure turbine directly into the Compressor turbine flows. In this case, the compressor turbine is partly connected in parallel to the power turbine. This again ensures that the compressor turbine receives a larger amount of propellant and therefore enables a larger amount of air to be compressed.
In the present case, the valve 17 is controlled depending on the electrical load of the generator 2 with the help of a pulse line 28, which is connected, for example, to an ammeter of the generator serving as an additional regulator, that it begins to open and part of the propellant The power turbine passes directly into the compressor turbine as soon as the load on turbine 1 falls below a certain value. In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, a power turbine and two compressor turbines are connected in series. The low-pressure compressor 4 is driven by the low-pressure turbine 3 and the high-pressure compressor 21 is driven by the high-pressure turbine 14.
Cooling devices 22 and 23 are provided between the two compressors and behind the high-pressure compressor, in which, for example, water is injected into the air heated by the compression. After subsequent reheating in the regenerator 6, the air flows into the combustion chamber 7 as in the systems described above. The propellant generated there flows through the three turbines 14, 1 and 3 in sequence. The control corresponds essentially to that described for FIG .
The bypass line 18 leads directly into the exhaust line, completely bypassing the low-pressure turbine 3, so that the entire compressor work can, under certain circumstances, be generated by the turbine 14 alone.
The additional controller 24 can therefore act on the downstream turbine or. Affect turbines. He can also switch the downstream turbines partially in parallel with one another or switch off the end turbine 3.
To the losses caused by the throttling of the drive by means of the power turbine, such as such. B. occur in both the system according to FIG. 4, the additional control can BEZW by changing the composition of the mixture for the two turbines. Turbine groups take place.
The easiest way to do this is to add a certain amount of air to the propellant of the turbine, the output of which is to be reduced in relation to the other, so that this mixture becomes poorer and colder, while that of the other turbine is added at the same time. led mixture is enriched accordingly.
8 and 9 show vein-like embodiments, In the case of FIG. 8, a branch line 29 is connected to the pressure line of the compressor 4 in front of the combustion chamber 7, which connects the pressure side of the compressor with the supply line of the propellant of the power turbine 1 ver. In the branch line 29 there is an additional regulator 30, which in the example shown is controlled by the pressure of the compressed air by means of a pulse line 32 and a spring-loaded piston 31 so that it opens as soon as this pressure falls below a certain minimum value.
When the valve opens when a certain lower load limit is reached, part of the compressed air flows directly into the power turbine, which changes the composition of the mixture of this turbine and a poorer mixture of lower temperature and lower energy content is fed to the turbine. At the same time, the compressor turbine 3 receives a richer mixture of higher tempera ture, because the combustion chamber is now supplied with a smaller amount of air by the amount of the branched off air. As a result, the compressor turbine generates more power, which is used to supply more air to the system and to reduce the temperature again to a permissible value.
In FIG. 9, the pressure side of the low-pressure compressor 4 is connected to the supply line of the power turbine 1. In this case, the valve 34 is controlled as a function of the electrical load on the generator 2 by means of the pulse line 35, which is connected to an ammeter of the generator 2 serving as an additional regulator, for example, so that it starts to open as soon as the load falls below falls a certain value. It is assumed that the pressure downstream of the low-pressure compressor corresponds to the pressure downstream of the high-pressure turbine 14.
The connection line 33 can of course be connected to the pressure side of the high pressure compressor 21 instead of to the pressure side of the low pressure compressor 4. The mode of operation of the additional regulation otherwise corresponds to that described for FIG.
Fig. 10 shows the application of the inven tion in a system with partly parallel and partly series-connected turbines. The low-pressure compressor 4 is driven by a low-pressure turbine 3, which is connected in parallel with the power turbine 1, but operates on a different shaft.
The compressed air in the low pressure compressor arrives after cooling at 22 in the high pressure compressor 21, then flows through the regenerator 6 in the combustion chamber 7 and from there into the Roch pressure turbine 36 which drives the high pressure compressor 21. After expansion in the high-pressure turbine has taken place, the propellant reaches a reheating device 38, into which fuel is fed through a line 39. The propellant keeps a higher temperature there at constant pressure and then flows to the two low-pressure turbines 1 and 3.
The exhaust gases from these turbines are fed into the regenerator 6 and from there into the open.
The additional control takes place in this case by actuating the control element 11 in the supply line to the low-pressure turbine 1. As indicated by the pulse line <B> 218 </B>, the control element 11 is automatically activated depending on the electrical load on the generator. tors 2 z.
B. controlled by means of an ammeter serving as an additional regulator, in such a way that it is fully open in the load range from full load to a certain partial load and the propellant supply is throttled if this partial load is not reached. As a result of this measure, the compressor turbine 3 receives a larger amount of the propellant flowing in from the heating device 39, so that the low-pressure compressor 4 supplies a larger amount of air, which brings the outlet temperature back to a permissible value in the manner described earlier.
In the case of the system according to FIG. 12, the compressor 4 is driven by the high-pressure turbine 3 and the generator 2 is driven by the low-pressure turbine 1. The two turbines are connected one behind the other in the sense of the propellant flow. 11 shows the course of the temperature behind the high-pressure turbine 3 as a function of the load on the system. At full load, this temperature has the value t3. If the fuel supply is reduced when the load becomes smaller, the relative power of the low-pressure turbine compared to the high-pressure turbine is less than normal load. The temperature behind the high-pressure turbine drops in the manner indicated by curve I.
As can be seen from the course of this curve, the temperature gradient for the low pressure turbine would be too small at lower loads to be able to deliver the required power. In order to avoid this, the nozzle cross-section of the power turbine is reduced with smaller loads. The consequence of this is that a higher back pressure is set behind the high pressure turbine, whereby the heat gradient of the high pressure turbine and accordingly its performance is reduced, so that the compressor now delivers less air and consequently the temperature of the propellant is increased until behind the temperature of the high-pressure turbine has risen again to such an extent that the low-pressure turbine has enough heat gradient available.
In the illustrated embodiment, for example, the low-pressure turbine is provided with partial control, as indicated by the valves 41 to 44. In the normal load range, all four valves are open. A thermostat 24 installed in the outlet line of the high-pressure turbine and serving as an additional regulator influences the four valves in such a way that as soon as, for example, at load b (FIG. 11) the temperature on curve I has dropped to a certain value, valve 44 is closed, whereby the temperature initially rises for the reasons given above. If the load continues to fall to the value c, the valve 49 is also closed, etc., and the loading of the turbine 1 is thereby changed.
The additional control can also be carried out in such a way that the additional controller monitors the fuel control set by the power controller as a function of the outlet temperature, the load or the pressure of the compressed air. A system regulated in this way is shown in FIG. The power turbine 1 is designed as a counter-rotating Ra dialturbine and drives two generators 2 and 2 '. The compressor turbine 3 is also designed as a counter-rotating radial turbine and drives the low-pressure compressor 4 and the Mitteldruckkom compressor 4 '. The high-pressure compressor 4 ″ sits on the shaft of the power turbine. The thermostat 24 which monitors the outlet temperature is located in the outlet of the compressor turbine.
The additional controller increases the output of the compressor turbine in relation to the output of the power turbine when inadmissibly high outlet temperatures occur.
The fuel is sucked by a pump 49 seated on the shaft of the power turbine 1 from .dem reservoir 48 and pressed to the fuel valve 9, the opening of which, as shown in the examples described above.
. is regulated by the power regulator L seated on the shaft of the power turbine in the usual manner. The fuel quantity determined by the power regulator reaches the main combustion chamber 7 partly through the line 8 and partly through the line 8 'to an additional valve 57 which regulates the inlet of fuel to the intermediate heating chamber 46. The opening of this valve is influenced by the thermostat 24 with the help of the connecting linkage between Zwischenge 24 '.
This system is therefore similar to the system shown schematically in FIG. The difference is that in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 13, the power regulator and the additional regulator are coupled to one another in terms of their effects with regard to the fuel injection.
Finally, FIG. 14 shows how an additional regulation can be designed which is at the same time under the influence of pressure and temperature in the system. For the sake of simplicity, only the low-pressure part of the system is shown here. The high pressure part is z. B. formed in the same way as in the system of FIG. 13, that is, with a main combustion chamber and a fuel valve controlled by a power regulator GE. A thermostat 56 is arranged in the outlet 55 of the low-pressure turbine and acts on an additional fuel valve 62 via the levers 57, 58, 59, 60, 61. At the outlet, connected to it by a line 70, a pressure regulator 63 is connected, which acts on the lever 59 through the link 64 and thus also on the fuel valve 62.
The fuel coming from the storage container 65, after it has passed the valve 61, passes through the line 66 into the additional combustion chamber 67, into which the air is introduced through the line 68. The heated propellant goes through the line 69 to the low pressure turbine.
If the temperature in the outlet line 55 rises, the thermostat 56 influences the valve 62 by shifting the lever mechanism accordingly in the sense that less fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber 67. If the temperature drops again, the valve opens in the opposite direction. If the pressure in outlet 55 or in the line 70, then the controller 63 responds and acts through the linkage on the valve 61 in the sense that the combustion chamber 67 is supplied with more fuel.
The invention can also be applied to other circuits customary in gas turbine systems and is also independent of the design of the turbines coming to use. In the exemplary embodiments in which the additional regulator is controlled as a function of the pressure of the compressed air, the pressure of the propellant can naturally also be used as a measure of the load on the system.
