Gasturbinenanlage.
Gas turbine plant. In gas turbine systems with at least two gas turbines that can be switched one behind the other and have separate shafts, at least one serving to deliver useful power to the outside and at least one other being coupled to at least one compressor for compressing the turbine combustion air, there is a risk that the System becomes unstable when the turbine delivering useful power is operated at idle.
In this case, the temperature of the gases leaving the utility turbine is so low that they are no longer able to ignite the injected fuel with sufficient certainty in the reheating device usually upstream of the compressor turbine. In turbine systems of the type mentioned, in which there is no reheating device between the useful power and compressor turbines, there is a risk of instability when idling and at the lowest loads because the amount of propellant leaving the useful power turbine when idling is neither its quantity is still sufficient according to its temperature to operate the downstream compressor turbine.
The invention, which relates to a gas turbine plant of the type mentioned at the outset, aims to eliminate this deficiency and achieves this by means of at least one control compressor that can be driven by the utility turbine and alone or with the combustion air used to compress the turbine Compressors can work together.
In the drawings, embodiment examples of the invention are shown.
1 means a gas turbine which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is designed as a counter-rotating radial turbine. Your exhaust gases go through the outlet 2 from a reheating device 3, in which by injecting fuel into the exhaust gases, reheating to the operating temperature required for a downstream turbine takes place. From the reheating device goes through the double lines 4, 5, the re-heated equipment to a second turbine, which is also designed, for example, as a counter-rotating radial turbine 6.
From here the exhaust gases go through the line 7 to a regenerator 8 and, after they have given off part of their heat to the compressed air in the same, through the discharge line 9 to the outside. The turbine 1 is used to deliver useful power to the outside, it drives two power generators 10 and 11 arranged to the right and left of it, and the compressor turbine connected downstream drives two compressors 12, 14 which are used to compress the turbine combustion air and which are connected in series, in such a way that the compressor 12 on the right is the low-pressure compressor which sucks in the air flowing in in the direction of the arrows and presses it over to the second compressor 14.
From this the compressed air goes through the line 15 to a regulating compressor 16. This is placed on the shaft of the turbine 1 and thus runs with all loads, especially when idling and the lowest loads. Connected in series with the compressors 12 and 14, it acts as a high-pressure compressor, from these compressors 12 and 14 switched off as the only compressor. The air compressed by it goes through the line 17 first to an injection device 18, into which, as indicated by the arrow and the small inlet line 19, water is injected. Through this water injection, the temperature of the compressed air is significantly reduced and water vapor is formed at the same time.
After this temperature decrease, the compressed mixture now reaches one end chamber 20 of the regenerator, flows through it from the bottom up to the end chamber 21 and from here passes through the line 22 to the heating device 23. This consists of a combustion chamber, into which fuel is injected through the line 24, which after ignition with the compressed air delivers the highly heated propellant for the gas turbine 1, which it is passed through the two lines 25 and 26 to.
In the line leading from the primary turbine 1 to the reheating device 3, a branch line 27 and a shut-off valve 28 is inserted, further into the line 27 a shut-off valve 29, behind which the line 27 continues until it enters the hot exhaust line 7 of the secondary turbine joins.
In line 15, which leads the compressed air from the compressor 14 to the control compressor 16, a line branch 30 and a shut-off valve 30a is also installed.
In normal operation, the valves 30a and 29 are closed, the valve 28 open. The exhaust gases from the primary turbine therefore go directly to the reheating device 3, in which they are heated again by injecting fuel through the injection line 32, from here to the secondary turbine 6 and through the exhaust line 7 and the connected regenerator 8, as described above, into the open or to any waste heat exchanger. The air to be compressed is sucked in in the compressor 12, further compressed in the compressor 14 and through the line 15 to the regulating compressor 16, which now works as a high-pressure compressor,
pushed over, from where it reaches the primary turbine 1 on the way via the water injection device 1: 8, the regenerator 8 and the combustion chamber 23.
If the power in the primary turbine is now reduced to such an extent that it only runs in idle mode or at the very lowest power and as a result, the exhaust gases emerging from it are no longer sufficient to heat the secondary turbine, be it with or without heating to operate, .then valve 28 is closed, but valves 29 and 30a are opened.
The exhaust gases from the primary turbine now go through the line 37 to the exhaust gas line 7 and from here through the regenerator, while the compressor 16, which is constantly rotating with the primary turbine 1, now sucks in air through the open valve 30a, which it compresses and then via the Injector 18, the Reger nerator 8 and the combustion chamber 23 supplies to the primary turbine. The rule compressor is dimensioned in such a way that it supplies the compressed air sufficient for idling operation or in the vicinity of idling.
There is therefore no risk of the system failing at the lowest power levels, since switching on the regulating compressor allows the failure of sufficient fuel for the secondary turbine to be regulated by simply switching over.
In the illustrated embodiment, only one control compressor is provided. However, several regulating compressors can also be provided, which are driven by the primary turbine and which supply the amount of compressed air that is sufficient for their idling power.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1 it is shown how the control compressor with the useful power compressor is constantly running or. when the system is loaded in series with the other compressors, it works as a high-pressure compressor. However, it is possible to switch off the control compressor for certain loads respectively. at all to separate from the power turbine, resulting in further control options to increase the elasticity of the system. An embodiment is shown in FIG. Here the compressor l6 is pelt to the shaft of the power turbine by a releasable coupling 39 pelt. Its inlet connector is denoted by 31 and opens on the one hand via the valve 33 to the outside air or via the valve 34 to the compressor line 15.
From this a bypass line 35 with a valve 36 arranged therein branches off to a line adapter 37 connected to the injection device 18, which is connected to the line 35 on the one hand and to the outlet channel of the control compressor 16 through a valve 38. The operating possibilities of the system according to FIG. 2, in which the turbine 1 again drives two generators, are as follows: a) The valves 33 and 36 are closed, the valves 34 and 38 open.
Then the air supplied by the compressors 12 and 14 flows through the compressor line 16, the open valve 84 to the control compressor 16, which takes over the high pressure compression and the compressed air through the valve 38 to the water injection device 18 and from there over the top be written path to the power turbine 1 supplies. In this operating case, the re gel compressor is connected to the primary turbine shaft through the coupling 39. The system works like that of FIG. 1.
b) The valves 33, 34, 38 are closed, the valve 36 is open. Then the compressor 14 delivers the air through the line 15 via the valve 36, the line 35, bypassing the variable-speed compressor 16 into the injection device. In this case, the regulating compressor is switched off from the airways and is expediently disconnected from the turbine 1 with the aid of the coupling 39 to avoid ventilation losses.
c) The valve 34 is closed, the valves 33, 36, 38 are open. Then the control compressor is connected in parallel with the compressor 14.
d) The valves 28, 34 and 36 are closed, the valves 29, 33 and 38 are open, the control compressor 16 is coupled to the turbine 1 by the coupling 39. Then the compressor turbine 6 is put out of operation and the regulating compressor delivers only the amount of air required for idling or for the lowest output of the primary turbine.
Whether or not a reheating device 3 is arranged between the power turbine 1 and the compressor turbine 6, or whether the compressor 16 constantly rotates with the primary turbine or is connected to it by a clutch that can be switched on and off changes the meaning the regulating compressor does nothing, since it allows the regulation and the greatest possible adaptation of the air volume to be supplied to the respective load condition of the system.
Instead of a compressor turbine, several compressor turbines connected in series can be arranged in a suitable circuit and a corresponding number of compressors.
