Process for the preparation of a sulfonic acid of dimethyl-2,4-diamino-6- (4'-ethozyphenyl) -6-heptadecyl-1,3, u-triazines. The subject of the present additional patent is a process for the preparation of a sulfonic acid of dimethyl-2,4-diamino- 5 - (4 '- ethoxyphenyl) - 6 - heptadecyl -1,3,5-triazine, characterized in that
that the reaction product obtained from dicyandiamide with p-phenetidine is condensed with stearic acid or a functional derivative thereof to give 2,4 - diamino - 5 - (4 '- ethoxyphenyl) - 6 - heptadecyl-1,3,5-triazine, this dimethylated and the dimethyl compound sulfated.
The new compound, in the form of the sodium salt, is a grayish white crystal powder that is clearly soluble in water. It can be used as a textile auxiliary, especially as a stripping agent in vat dyeing and as a leveling agent in cotton dyeing. Example: To the solution of 137 parts of p-phenetidine, 300 parts of water and 100 parts of hydrochloric acid, 93 parts of dicyandiamide are added, the mixture is stirred for 20 hours at about 105, and after cooling, the crystal pulp is sucked off and dissolved in 1000 parts len water of 80.
The solution is allowed to run into the mixture of 350 parts of water, 160 parts of ice and 160 parts of sodium hydroxide, 300 parts of sodium chloride are added, the precipitate is filtered off with suction and dried.
The p-phenetidylbiguanide, F.152, obtained in an amount of around 210 parts, is dissolved in the just necessary amount of chlorobenzene, 130 parts of soda are added and then 247 parts of technical stearic acid chloride dissolved in 250 parts of chlorobenzene are allowed to flow in. After stirring the mixture for two hours at 120 to 125, it is filtered hot and the salt residue is washed out with chlorobenzene.
130 parts of soda are added to the filtered solution, 222 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added gradually at 45, the mixture is stirred while increasing the temperature, finally to 110 ibis 115 for about 5 hours, filtered off with suction from the salt paste and the solvent is removed from the filtrate in vacuo.
The residue is stirred with 900 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate, then 400 parts of 267 ° oleum are added at 20-2500 parts and the mixture is stirred for a further 3 hours. It is then introduced into 3000 parts of ice, stirred, allowed to settle and the acidic aqueous layer is decanted off. The product is suspended in water and neutralized by adding 110 parts of soda, then about 110 parts of 30% sodium hydroxide solution, and the solution he holds is evaporated to about 500 parts.
The product is then approximately 90% strength dimethyl-2,4-diamino-5- (4'-ethoxyphenyl) - 6 - heptadecyl -1,3.5 - triazinesulfonic acid sodium.
The new compound, in the form of the sodium salt, is a gray-tinged white crystal flour that is clearly soluble in water. It can be used as a textile auxiliary. Can be used in particular as a stripping agent in batch dyeing and as a leveling agent in cotton dyeing.
