Description

Process for the preparation of a mixture of sodium salts of acylated aminomethanesulfonic acids. The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a mixture of sodium salts of aminomethanesulfonic acids acylated by a sulfonic acid residue, which is characterized in that formaldehyde-sodium bisulfite is allowed to act on a sulfamide mixture,

which was kept by the simultaneous action of chlorine and sulfur dioxide on a gasoline fraction with the boiling limits 320-380 and subsequent reaction with ammonia.

The product is soluble in water and can be used as a textile auxiliary. Example 330 parts by weight of a sulfamide mixture, produced by the simultaneous action of chlorine and sulfur dioxide on a gasoline fraction with the boiling limits 320-380 'and treatment of the sulfochlorides formed with ammonia, are mixed with a solution of 190 Parts by weight of formaldehyde sodium bisulfite in 200 parts by weight of water are added and the mixture is refluxed for several hours.

After all the water has been distilled off and the product has been reheated for a short time, a light brown, water-soluble substance, the solution of which has a good foaming power, remains.

The product can be used as a textile auxiliary.

Example 2: 330 parts by weight of a sulfamide mixture, produced by the simultaneous action of chlorine and sulfur dioxide on a gasoline fraction with the boiling limits 320-380 'and treatment of the sulfochlorides formed with ammonia, are mixed with 190 with thorough stirring Parts by weight of formaldehyde sodium bisulphite are heated to 160-170 'until a sample of the substance has become soluble. The resulting light brown product is a water-soluble substance whose solutions show good foaming power.
