      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent Nr. 205537.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines leichtlöslichen sauren     Alizarinfarbstoffes.       Die vorliegende Erfindung     betrifft    die  Herstellung eines neuen, leicht löslichen sau  ren Alizarinfarbstoffes und ist dadurch ge  kennzeichnet, dass man die freie     Sulfosäure     des Farbstoffes der Formel

    durch Behandlung mit     Lithiumcarbonat    in  das     Lithiumsalz    überführt.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>  Der Farbstoff der Formel

    wird mit Wasser zu einer homogenen Paste  verrührt und     portionenweise    unter gutem  Rühren so lange mit     Lithiumcarbonat    ver  setzt, bis die freie     Sulfosäure    in das ent  sprechende     Lithiumsalz    übergeführt ist. Die      so erhaltene neutrale     bezw.    schwach alka  lische Paste wird nun getrocknet und ge  mahlen.  



  Das auf diese Weise hergestellte     Lithium-          salz    ist ein dunkelblaues Pulver, von welchem  in 1000 Teilen lochendem Wasser 40 Teile  löslich sind, während das entsprechende Na  triumsalz nur zu 25 Teilen darin löslich ist.
