Device for rolling up and unrolling a projection screen. The invention relates to a device for rolling up and unrolling a Pro projection cloth, in which the upper gante of the cloth is stationary, while the other. the lower end is attached to a roll-up rod.
According to the invention, pulling members are guided to corresponding counter-rollers from both ends of the roll-up rod attached to rollers, which are attached to the two ends of a shaft mounted above the upper edge of the projection cloth, on one end of which there is a belt roller receiving an elevator belt, with the winding direction of all rollers is selected so that when the elevator belt is unwound from a control roller, a corresponding one. Unwinding the pulling elements from their counter rollers and,
As a result of the rotation of the roll-up rod that occurs at the same time as the projection screen is unrolled from the roll-up rod, these tension members are accordingly wound onto the roll-up rod rolls. The previous way of securing the cloth was done in such a way that the cloth was fastened on top of a rod or a roller, which in turn was mounted firmly or rotatably at both ends.
This type of mooring has the disadvantage that,. Especially with large and heavy projection cloths, the rod could bend and the cloth became wrinkled. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, this disadvantage can be avoided by securing the edge of the cloth in the following way: The upper edge of the cloth is placed on the inner side of the rear wall of a box or a strip and covered by a resistant strip, bezw with wood screws or the like. On the box wall. the bar is fixed.
As a result, the entire length of the gante is held immovably and both the formation of wrinkles is avoided and individual tissue threads of the cloth are relieved accordingly. In the drawing, the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment, namely shows:
Fig. 1 shows a partially broken front view with lowered projection screen, Fig. 2 shows a cross section along the line 1I-II of Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows an end view in the direction of the arrow IV with the box wall removed, fing. 4 shows a cross section like FIG. 2 with the projection cloth rolled up.
According to FIG. 1, the lower end of the projection screen 1 is attached to a roll-up rod 2, preferably by being fitted in a longitudinal slot 3 of the roll-up rod. The upper edge 4 of the projection cloth is stationary on a bar 20 BEZW. between a double bar on the rear -and of a box 5 attached, which is net angeord on the room wall or on a ceiling.
Inside the box, a thin shaft 9 is mounted in end bearings 7, 7 'and a number of intermediate bearings 8. Outside half of the side edges of the projection cloth 1, a winding drum or belt roller or counter roller 10, 10 'is attached. In addition, a further belt roll 11 is arranged on one end of the shaft 9.
At both ends of the roll-up rod 2, the lower belt rollers 12, 12 'are attached to a pair of belt rollers 10, 12 respectively. 10 ', 12', a belt 13, 13 'is wound up so that when the projection cloth 1 is lowered, the lower belt rolls IL), l2' are full, and the upper belt rolls 10, 10 'are empty.
L: m the belt straps 13, 13 'to always give good guidance to the belt rollers, the latter are ver see with guide bodies 14, which run along with the winding process at the beginning of the belt rollers.
From the outer belt reel 11, an elevator belt 15 leads to a control roller 16 known per se, which is mounted in a frame 17 attached to the wall and with an automatic band brake 18 is seen ver. The roller 16 is under the action of a spiral spring acting on its shaft 19 in the sense that the spring has the tendency to rotate the roller in the direction of the arrow so that the elevator tape 15 is wound onto the roller 16.
The elevator belt is fastened with its end on the roller 16, with the intervening manual release of the self-acting band brake, which under the action of a spiral spring ensures the automatic winding of the part of the same that becomes free when the elevator belt is pulled down. The mode of operation of the device shown is as follows: In the non-use state (FIG. 4), the roll-up rod 2 with the projection cloth wound on it is located inside the box 5.
If, after the lock 18 is released, the elevator belt 15 is moved upwards against the spring (not shown in the drawing) located on the shaft 19, the projection screen is lowered as a result of the weight of the roll-up rod and its equipment by moving from unwinds the roll-up rod and ver sets the roll-up rod in corresponding rotation.
However, this rotation also takes place in accordance with the unwinding of the belts 13, 13 'from the rollers 10, 10', which in turn depends on the rotation of the belt roller 11 according to the movement of the elevator belt 15.
The lowering of the projection screen is so similar, as if it were wound up in the usual way on the shaft 9, without the associated disadvantages, which include the fact that the roll-up rod, which is only at the ends on the right and left is stored, bends, is mostly inaccessible and, on the other hand, the projection screen (especially when it is completely lowered) has to fully bear the pull of the weight bar attached to its lower end and which is often exposed to harmful tension.
The bending of the roll-up rod results in bumps and folds in the projection fabric, which are very annoying when projecting because the light image appears distorted.
Since the shaft 9 can be made very thin because it can be stored several times, work, raw materials and weight are saved here.
Compared to the known devices, the projection screen shown is relieved of harmful tensions, and the winding and unwinding process can be monitored precisely at any time, which is of considerable advantage, especially with very large projection fabrics.
In the device, the dependency between the rolling movement of the projection cloth on the roll-up rod and the rolling movement of the belts 13, 13 'on the rollers 10, 10', 12, 12 'is to be observed and the choice of the diameter of these roles must be made accordingly, because the increase and decrease in diameter during winding depends on the wall thickness of the projection screen on the one hand and the wall thickness of the belt on the other. If, as is usually the case in practice, the projection cloth is very thin and the belt strap is very thick, the diameter of the retractor rod will be correspondingly larger, and the diameter of the belt rolls will be smaller accordingly.
Instead of the belts, other pulling elements such as chains, ropes or the like can also occur.
The advantages of the construction shown are: that easy and trouble-free rolling up and down of the projection screen is made possible by the two pulling elements and, furthermore, that the projection screen is clamped at its upper edge between a double bar, even with projection screens of very large dimensions a completely smooth hanging is achieved after unrolling.
