Description

Process for the production of leads for the production of smears with high calibration density and lead for the production of smears with high light density. . The present invention relates to a method for producing leads for producing smears with high light density and to a lead produced using this method. The usual mine smear has an inliomogeneous structure "since the individual graphite clien are only at certain points of the paper and.
between - them there are non-adhesive white paper surfaces. Processes have become known for producing leads for producing smears with increased light dielite. In these, before or during the impregnation with a fatty substance, a preferred solution is soluble in a fixing agent. The dye is added so that the dye contained in the lead is smeared, dissolves and the fixing agent is dusted penetrates the paper.
Durelidas spraying on fixing agents, however, results in the formation of droplets which have an unfavorable effect on the line sharpness. The subject of the present invention is a method by which Idas mines for producing a smear can be produced with the highest light density.
The method is characterized in that .the cavities of burnt grapbit leads are soaked with a solution which contains an agent suitable for increasing the light density of the smear, and that the solvent is removed again. The hollow spaces can be filled to at least one third with a dye or a dye component; will.
The mines are advantageously used, the cavities of which are at least 20 percent by volume.
The fired lead sticks can be immersed in a solution of a dye or a dye component, the solution penetrating into the pores of the leads. It is advisable to use approximately saturated solutions. After soaking, the solvent is removed from the leads.
It has turned out to be expedient that the content of the mines in dye resp. Dye component is at least, at least 3.% . If it is lower, then the dye contained in the line on the paper is sufficient. not the dye component, in order to make the line appear homogeneous in photo-technical terms after the subsequent treatment.
This treatment can consist in that a thin layer of a solvent for the dye used is applied to the paper provided with the coating. This solvent causes a uniform distribution of the dye on the areas of the paper that have remained free between the graphite particles. When using a pen with a dye component, a dye counter component is added to the solvent to be applied to the paper, which, together with the dye component, results in the whitewashed dye.
It has been found to be particularly dubious to use dyes that have a noticeable affinity for cotton fibers. The pulp fibers of the paper have, that is, somewhat stronger or more selective, depending the type of dye to which they are bound. This largely prevents the lines from flowing out.
Such Fa.rbstoffe are, for example, the known water-soluble and, above all, basic organic dyes, e.g. B.
Nitrosophenol and nitro dyes, azo dyes, diphenylinetha.n and triphenyl methane dyes, xanthenes, anthracene dyes, etc. The main solvents for these substances are water or substances that can be measured with water.
When producing leads that meet the specified conditions, it is advantageous if the porosity of the fired lead is constant and as equal as possible for the entire hardness scale. Are advantageous BEZW after soaking with the dye. the solution containing the dye component, the "hollow spaces with a non-water-repellent filler" z.
