Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin. Gegenstand des schweizerischen Patentes 196650 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin, das darin besteht, dass man 8-Acetylamino-2-oxynaphtalin oxy diert und das so erhaltene 8.8'-Diacetylamino- 1.1'-binaphthon-(2.2') einer verseifenden und wasserabspaltenden Behandlung unterwirft.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man, aus gehend von 8-Amino-2-oxynaphthalinen, auf einem weit einfacheren Wege in einem Ar beitsgange zu dem Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin und seinen Derivaten gelangt, wenn man die Aminonaphthole einer Behandlung mit dehydrierenden Mitteln unterwirft.
Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dehy- drobinaphthylendiimin, welches dadurch ge kennzeichnet ist, dass man 8-Amino-2-oxy- naphthalin in Gegenwart von Dehydrierungs- m;tteln einer Wärmebehandlung unterwirft. <I>Beispiel 1:</I> Ein Gemisch von 100 Teilen 8-Amino- 2-oxynaphthalin, 150 Teilen Nitrobenzol und 50 Teilen Kupferoxyd wird 3 Stunden am Rückflusskühler gekocht.
Dabei bildet sich ein Anlagerungsprodukt des Aminonaphthols an Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin, vermengt mit Kupferoxyd. Nach Absaugen und Trocknen wird dieses Gemisch erhitzt und liefert dabei das Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin.
<I>Beispiel 2:</I> 10 Teile 8-Amino-2-Oxynaphthalin werden mit 10 Teilen Kupferoxyd gut vermischt und auf eine solche Temperatur erhitzt, dass Sublimation eintritt. Man erhält das Dehy- drobinaphthylendiimin gleichfalls in guter Ausbeute.
<I>Beispiel 3:</I> 8-Amino-2-oxyiaphtalin, mit etwas Kup ferbronze versetzt, gibt beim Erhitzen gleich falls Dehydrobinaphthylendiimin. <I>Beispiel</I> Eine Zinkstaubdestillation von 8-Amino- 2-oxynaphthalin führt ebenfalls zum Dehy- drobinaphthylendiimin. Der Endstoff ist mit dem nach dem Ver fahren des Patentes Nr. 196650 erhältlichen identisch und dient ebenfalls unter anderem zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of dehydrobinaphthylenediimine, which is characterized in that 8-amino-2-oxynaphthalene is subjected to a heat treatment in the presence of dehydration tools. <I> Example 1 </I> A mixture of 100 parts of 8-amino-2-oxynaphthalene, 150 parts of nitrobenzene and 50 parts of copper oxide is refluxed for 3 hours.
An adduct of aminonaphthol with dehydrobinaphthylenediimine is formed, mixed with copper oxide. After filtering off with suction and drying, this mixture is heated and delivers the dehydrobinaphthylenediimine.
<I> Example 2: </I> 10 parts of 8-amino-2-oxynaphthalene are mixed well with 10 parts of copper oxide and heated to a temperature such that sublimation occurs. The dehydrobinaphthylenediimine is also obtained in good yield.
<I> Example 3: </I> 8-Amino-2-oxyiaphtalin, mixed with a little copper bronze, also gives dehydrobinaphthylenediimine when heated. <I> Example </I> A zinc dust distillation of 8-amino-2-oxynaphthalene also leads to dehydrobinaphthylenediimine. The end product is identical to that obtainable according to the process of patent no. 196650 and is also used, among other things, to produce dyes.
