Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 198710. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Disazofarbstoffes. Nach dem im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Verfahren erhält man einen Disazofarbstoff, der sich in organischen Lösungsmitteln mit bräunlich gelber Farbe löst, wenn man p- Aminoazobenzol diazotiert und die Diazover- bindung mit p-Isohegylphenol kuppelt.
Wie nun weiter gefunden wurde, erhält man einen Farbstoff mit ganz ähnlichen Eigenschaften, wenn man den Monoazofarb- stoff, der erhalten wird durch Kupplung eines diazotierten technischen Gemisches von X ylidin mit ä-Amino-4-methogy-l-methyl- benzol, weiter diazotiert und die Diazover- bindung mit p-Isohegylphenol kuppelt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man diazotiert 26,9 Teile des Monoazo- farbstoffes, der erhalten wird durch Kupp lung eines diazotierten technischen Gemisches von Xylidin mit 3-Amino-4-methogy-l-me- thylbenzol, unter Zugabe von 60 Teilen Salz- säure, 12 B6, in bekannter Weise mit 6,9 Teilen Natriumnitrit,
filtriert die Diazo- lösung und lässt sie bei 0 zu einer Auf- lösung von 17,8 Teilen p-Isohegylphenol in 250 Teilen Natronlauge, enthaltend 6 Teile Natriumhydrogyd und etwa 3 Teile eines Emulgiermittels, einlaufen. Während des Zu laufes der Diazolösung gibt man allmählich noch 40 Teile einer 10%igen Natronlauge hinzu.
Nach Beendigung der Kupplung wird der Farbstoff wie üblich fertiggestellt. Er färbt organische Lösungsmittel lichtecht gelbbraun an.

The process described in the main patent gives a disazo dye which dissolves in organic solvents with a brownish yellow color when p-aminoazobenzene is diazotized and the diazo compound is coupled with p-isohegylphenol.
As has now also been found, a dye with very similar properties is obtained if the monoazo dye, which is obtained by coupling a diazotized technical mixture of xylidine with α-amino-4-methogy-1-methylbenzene, is continued diazotized and the diazo compound couples with p-isohegylphenol.
<I> Example: </I> 26.9 parts of the monoazo dye, which is obtained by coupling a diazotized technical-grade mixture of xylidine with 3-amino-4-methogy-1-methylbenzene, are diazotized with the addition of 60 parts of hydrochloric acid, 12 B6, in a known manner with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite,
The diazo solution is filtered and allowed to run in at 0 to a solution of 17.8 parts of p-isohegylphenol in 250 parts of sodium hydroxide solution containing 6 parts of sodium hydrogen and about 3 parts of an emulsifying agent. While the diazo solution is being added, 40 parts of a 10% sodium hydroxide solution are gradually added.
After the coupling has ended, the dye is completed as usual. It stains organic solvents lightfast yellow-brown.
