La fig. 6 représente partiellement une forme d'exécution dans laquelle le fonction nement du dispositif d'arrêt est inverse de celui de la forme d'exécution, fig. 1 par exemple. Dans ce cas, la tige 7 est suspendue au bâti au-dessus du volant par une colle rette semblable à celle décrite ci-dessus; elle comporte aussi une masse 8, mais son extré mité libre 9 se trouve (lu même côté que la masse par rapport au point de suspension;
Music piece The object of the present invention -is a music piece comprising a steering wheel. This musical piece is characterized by a pendulum mounted on the frame, so as to keep its vertical position whatever the direction in which this frame is tilted and arranged so as to stop the steering wheel or to let it rotate according to the inclination of the frame.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, some embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 relate to a first embodiment of which FIG. 1 is a general plan view, FIG. 2 a vertical section along II-II, seen from the right, FIG. 3 the same section as in FIG. 2 with the inclined frame. Figs. 4 and 5 show two other embodiments in elevation. Figs. 6 and 7 respectively show the schematic elevation view and plan view of a fourth embodiment.
The music piece, shown in fig. 1 to 3, comprises a frame 1 fixed on a base la ,, on which the frame is mounted a barrel 2 containing the mainspring, not shown; this barrel actuates by a gear 3 the cylinder with pins 4 which acts on the keyboard 5; the cylinder 4 drives the regulating flywheel 6 by means of a gear train.
The music piece further comprises a rod 7 provided at one of its ends with a mass 8 which tends to constantly maintain the rod 7 in a vertical position, the free end 9 of the rod being just long enough. to come to be placed in the trajectory of the regulating flywheel 6. This rod 7 freely passes through a hole 11 in the frame located below the flywheel, and carries a côllerette 10 in the form of a portion of a sphere which rests in this hole.
The operation is as follows: The rod 7 is mounted in such a way that as long as the frame remains horizontal, the point 9 of the rod 7 prevents the steering wheel from turning and the music piece from playing; if the frame is tilted in any direction, for example as shown in fig. 3, the tip 9 of the rod 7 which remains vertical thanks to the mass 8 and to the fact that the collar 10 can slide in the hole 11, comes out of the trajectory of the flywheel and the latter can turn and the part begins to play .
The piece will stop playing as soon as the frame is returned to the horizontal position.
Fig. 4 represents a coin. music intended to be suspended at the bottom 1s of an object. The difference between this arrangement and that of FIG. 1 consists in that the rod 7 is suspended in a hole not in the frame, but from a bridge 12 itself fixed to the frame. The operation is the same.
In the embodiment of FIG. 5, the frame is fixed against a vertical wall 1., of an object; as in fig. 4, the rod 7 is suspended from a bridge 13, itself fixed to the frame. The <i, music box will not play as long as the axis of cylinder 4 remains vertical, the part will start to play as soon as this axis comes out of the vertical.
Fig. 6 partially shows an embodiment in which the operation of the stop device is the reverse of that of the embodiment, FIG. 1 for example. In this case, the rod 7 is suspended from the frame above the steering wheel by a rette glue similar to that described above; it also includes a mass 8, but its free end 9 is located (read the same side as the mass with respect to the point of suspension;
this end 9 has a length such that it can be placed in the path of the steering wheel 6 located below: this steering wheel comprises. in its wings two notches 14 corresponding to the position of the end 9 of the rod 7 so that, when the frame is in its horizontal position, the end 9 passes through the notches of the steering wheel which can then turn and the part to, music to play; if the frame tilts in any way, relative to the horizontal, the point 9 is placed in the trajectory of the flywheel and the rotation of the latter is stopped.
By means of bridges as aforementioned born fixed to the frame, this arrangement can be applied without further ado to the case in which the plane of the frame is vertical.
