La fig. 1 du dessin représente, en éléva tion et partiellement en coupe, une partie de la balance, montrant principalement un des électro-aimants manmuvrant la benne;
la fig. 2 est une vue en coupe du distri buteur de courant; la fig. 3 est un développement des con- tacteurs du distributeur alimentant les électro-aimants de benne;
la fig. 4 est une vue partiellement en coupe du registre et de l'électro-aimant qui le commande; la fig. 5 montre, partiellement en coupe, un électro-aimant actionnant une cale de sé- curité en cas de suppression de courant;
A cet effet,
L'ensemble des opérations de la balance est commandé par le distributeur 30 (fig. 2) comprenant un axe<B>30'</B> enrobé de manière électriquement isolante et entraînant, en ro tation, dans lia cavité d'un corps cylindrique creux 33, un support 34 portant deux char bons contacteurs isolés 35. Ces charbons sont ajustés et peuvent glisser chacun dans une alvéole 32 du support 34;
il quitte le contact 40 et une résistance 45 se trouve en sArie sur le courant d'arrivée. L'attraction des #@lectro-aimants se trouve réduite et les noyaux 16 sortent doucement des solénoïdes. La benne descend doucement sur les cou- teaux 23 et y repose;
Volumetric balance. The invention relates to a volume balance for measuring either by volume or by weight or simultaneously by volume and weight of granular materials, cereals for example.
We know: other volumetric balances of the same kind which include a. measuring bucket placed below a filling hopper supplied by a material inlet pipe and a register isolating the bucket from the hopper when the bucket is full, the bucket being capable of performing a downward movement to come to rest on the knives of a plague. balance and then return to its original position,
an emptying door being provided at the lower part of the bucket.
The material inlet piping being of a section greater than that connecting the hopper and the bucket, the level of materials in the hopper will always be maintained at the level of the outlet of the material inlet piping , the load of materials on the bucket will be constant and the filling of the latter will take place with a constant settlement,
This will have the consequence of giving the same material always the same bucket fillings, and therefore exactly comparable measurement results.
When the bucket is full, the damper is activated and isolates the bucket from the hopper; the bucket, in a downward movement, comes to rest on the knives of the balance beam and the weight of the constant volume presented by the bucket is then measured by the balance.
When the measurement is finished, the door at the bottom of the bucket opens and the material just measured flows into a suitable container. This door is then closed, the bucket is put back under the filling hopper, the register is opened and the bucket is refilled. The same operating cycle starts again and so on.
Appropriate and known devices make it possible to record the weights measured for each of the operations of the balance and the number of operations, so that the total weight, the total volume, the average density or that resulting from each operation is obtained. immediately deduce.
In these operations. the movements of the bucket, the operation of the register. of the door, are usually produced by the weight of the material to be measured; counterweight levers, brakes and more generally complex and appropriate mechanical components regulate these movements obtained by gravity.
The volumetric balance according to the invention is characterized in that the rise of the measuring bucket under the hopper, its descent without impact on the beam of the scale, the opening and closing of the filling register of the bucket, thus that the opening and closing of the dumpster emptying door are carried out automatically by means of electromagnets supplied by a current distributor,
each of the circuits of the electromagnets being equipped to avoid the drawbacks of the self-induction currents.
I'ne embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing. In this preferred example, a current distributor supplies the various electromagnets via contacts at the appropriate times and for suitable times.
the respective position of the distributor contacts determines the various movements and maneuvers required according to a determined cycle. in particular that which is considered the most suitable for the proper functioning of the. volumetric balance:
the speed with which the distributor operates determines the operating time of a cycle, and, consequently. the frequency of the scale.
Resistor or capacitor devices are provided to prevent the distributor from sparks due to self-induction currents when opening the electromagnet excitation circuits.
It should be noted that on the. balance itself, no sparks can fly during operation.
The balance therefore operates without the competition of the mechanical parts which usually equip it. This results in considerable simplification, a relatively low construction price and above all great precision in operation, which no longer depends on the weight of the material to be measured,
variable weight depending on the nature of this material.
Fig. 1 of the drawing represents, in elevation and partially in section, a part of the balance, showing mainly one of the electromagnets operating the bucket;
fig. 2 is a sectional view of the current distributor; fig. 3 is a development of the distributor contactors supplying the bucket electromagnets;
fig. 4 is a partially sectional view of the register and of the electromagnet which controls it; fig. 5 shows, partially in section, an electromagnet actuating a safety wedge in the event of current suppression;
fig. 6 shows a section along the line VI-VI of FIG. 4.
Irma filling hopper 7 is supplied by the sleeve 8 of a pipe (fig. 1, 4 and 6) and rests by brackets 9 on an iron frame 10.
At the base of this hopper, guides 11 hold a register 12 which isolates a bucket. 13 of the hopper 7. The bucket 13 is capable of performing a downward and upward movement. For this purpose,
it is suspended by brackets 14 and pins 15 from the cores 16 terminated in the form of a mil yoke and penetrating through their upper ends into the armored solenoid of an electromagnet 17.
It should be noted that the drawing (fig. 1) represents, for reasons of simplification, only one electromagnet 17, while in reality the bucket is controlled by two electromagnets 17, the second being placed symmetrically with the axis of the bucket and the hopper on the other side. In their descent movements,
the cores 16 come to rest by their lower parts on the elastic wedges 18 carried by brackets 19. The electromagnet 17 is fixed by a non-magnetic bracket 20 to the iron lot 10.At each end of the cooker of the electromagnet 17 are fixed bronze guides 21 intended to center the core 16 of the electromagnet; lubricators can be provided on these guides.
The end of the core 16 (vertically hacked part) is made of non-magnetic metal, this part being designed to serve as a guide to the core.
The bucket carries a pad 22, at each end of the same -diameter, these pads resting at the end of the period of descent on the knives 23 of the flails 24 of a ba: lance or transmitting the weight to be measured to the scale groin appropriate.
When the bucket rests on the knives 23, the cores 16 continue to descend until they stop on the wedges 18, so as to free the bucket from any contact.
At the lower part of the skip there is a door 25 articulated on an axis 26, carrying by a lever 27 a counterweight 28. This door is held closed by the attraction of an electromagnet 29.
When the bucket rests on the flails 24 and the scale has weighed, the current is cut by the current distributor 30 (fig. 2), the door 25 opens under the load of materials contained in the bucket. , the latter empties. Then, the cores 16, controlled by <B> If, </B> distributor 30, go up the bucket. In this movement, the .levier 27 meets a fixed stop 31 carried by the frame 10 and which lowers.
The counterweight 28, whose action is small when the door 25 is open (position shown in dotted lines in fig. 1), is placed on a larger lever arm when the lever 27 is lowered, the action of this counterweight is then sufficient to close the door, the end of which is applied against the core of the electromagnet 29 in which the current is restored by the distributor 30, and the door is again blocked.
All the operations of the balance are controlled by the distributor 30 (fig. 2) comprising an axis <B> 30 '</B> coated in an electrically insulating manner and driving, in rotation, in the cavity of a body. hollow cylindrical 33, a support 34 carrying two good insulated contactor chars 35. These charcoals are adjusted and can each slide in a cell 32 of the support 34;
they follow the rotation of the support 34 wedged on the axis 31 and rub inside the wall of the immobile cylindrical body 33, also in insulating material, and whose axis coincides with the axis of rotation coals. In the bottom of each cell 32 is housed a spring 36 which tends to push the carbon 35 against the internal wall of the cylindrical body 33.
In this internal wall are embedded contacts matching the cylindrical shape of the body 33. These contacts are joined together by the contactor coals to allow the passage of current either in an electromagnet, or in several simultaneously, to achieve in a the various operations of the operating cycle of the balance.
The current distributor 30 has its axis 30 'which is driven in a uniform rotational movement by an electric motor of suitable power, very small.
A reduction by a toothed wheel 37 wedged on the axis 30 'and a tangent worm 38, wedged on the shaft 39 of an electric motor, makes it possible to obtain the coals for the output of one revolution. contactors, a suitable value corresponding to rapid operation, but, without shocks, to the necessary duration of the cycle of successive operations, namely:
filling the bucket, isolating the bucket by closing the register under the hopper, lowering the bucket onto the beam, weighing operation by the scale, opening -of the emptying door: of the bucket, emptying the bucket, closing of the emptying door, raising of the bucket under the hopper, opening of the register.
The circumferential length of the contacts 37 corresponds to the duration of each of the operations, their distribution over the circumference traversed by the mobile contactor carbons in a constant time allows the carrying out of the various operations indicated above and also the shifting of <RTI
ID = "0004.0015"> each of these operations as a function of time.
The fis. 3, which represents a development of the circular contacts of the distributor, contacts supplying the electromagnets 17 for operating the bucket, is intended to show how these contacts are arranged, interconnected and equipped.
The current arrives from the source through the contact 40, to which it is connected externally, passes through the contactor carbon shown in dotted lines, through the contact 41 connected externally to the arrival pole of the electromagnet.
1-the return current flows through the contact 42, the contactor carbon, and the contact 43 connected externally to the source. The excitation of the electromagnets 17 is then ensured at constant intensity until the contactor carbon connecting the contacts 40,
41 of the incoming current touches contact 44 during its rotation; by continuing to turn,
it leaves contact 40 and a resistor 45 is in series on the incoming current. The attraction of the # @ electromagnets is reduced and the cores 16 slowly come out of the solenoids. The bucket descends gently on the knives 23 and rests there;
the cores 16 continue to descend. The contactor carbons 35, of a suitable width in the direction of rotation, arrive on the contacts 46, 47 placed in the extension of the contacts 40, 43 in connection with the current source.
When these carbons 35 touch at the same time on the contacts 40, 46 and 43, 47, they put in bypass, on the circuit of the electromagnets, a very large resistance and without self-induction 48.
Then, by the rotation of the contactor brushes, the current source is cut off and the electromagnets circuit is short-circuited on the resistor 48,
this avoids sparks at the opening of the electromagnets circuit, sparks which would lead to the deterioration of the coals, the contacts, or even the breaking of the insulation of the electromagnets by voltage increase.
The fis. 4 is a view of the arrangement of the control electromagnet of register 12.
On the same axis, and magnetically isolated, two electromagnet solenoids 49, 50 have a common core 51 guided in the breastplates of the solenoids by rods 52, 53. Rod 52 is connected by a lever 54 to one. connecting rod 55, articulated on the, register 12.
The lever 54, the arm ratio of which is suitable, is intended to amplify the movement of the core 51, the register 12 having to travel a fairly long stroke.
The two electromagnets 49, 50 receive current alternately, via the distributor. When the electromagnet 49 is excited,
it attracts the core 51 inwards and the -register 12 is maneuvered in the closing direction.
When the electromagnet 50 is excited, the electromagnet 49 is no longer excited and the register is actuated in the opening direction. The appropriate times for the two maneuvers are determined by the distributor.
In the event of current suppression, the cores 16 of the electromagnets no longer exert any forces on the bucket 13, and if the latter, at the precise moment of the current suppression, was raised,
it would fall abruptly on the knives 23, risking damage to organs. To avoid this inconvenience, a safety device (fis.
5) comprising the wedges 18 disposed horizontally below the lower end of each of the cores i6 of the electromagnets 17. These wedges, wedge-shaped, rest and can slide horizontally each on a bracket 19.
The upper face of the wedges is lined with elastic material and has in profile a lower plane 18 'and an upper plane 18 "",
these two horizontal planes being connected to each other by a plane RTI ID = "0004.0245" WI = "12" HE = "4" LX = "1569" LY = "2126"> inclined. Each wedge 18 is coupled to a plunger core 56 of an electromagnet 57 comprising an armored solenoid. Between the armor of the electromagnet 57 and a washer 58 of the plunger-core 56 is arranged a
coil spring 59 which is compressed when the plunger core is attracted by the solenoid of the electromagnet, as shown in fig. 5. The plunger core 56 then holds the wedge 18 in a position such that the lower plane 18 'of the wedge is placed below the core 16 of the electromagnet 17.
If the current ensuring the operation of the balance suddenly ceases when the bucket is raised, the plunger core 56 is no longer drawn into the solenoid of the electromagnet, the spring 59 of a suitable power immediately pushes the wedge 18 in a direction such that its upper plane 18 "is placed under the lower end of the core 16, and receives the shock of the bucket when it falls, without the bearings 22 pressing on the knives 23 .
The excitation of the electromagnets 57 is provided by a current bypass, which does not pass through the distributor. The electromagnets 57 are therefore constantly energized during the operation of the balance.
In summary, the operation of the scale described is as follows: On starting, the motor drives the distributor 30 and energizes the electromagnets 57 which remove the safety wedges 18. The distributor, by its rotating contactor brushes 35 , sends current to the electromagnets 17 operating the bucket 13, which lift it under the hopper 7.
Then, the opening electromagnet 50 of register 12 is energized by the distributor; the dumpster fills up. The closing electromagnet 49 of the register is then energized and the bucket is isolated from the hopper 7. The contactor coals are placed in series on the eiremit of the electromagnets 17 of the bucket a resistor; the ash bucket and comes to rest on the knives 23 of the flail 24. The weighing operation takes place.
The distributor cuts the current to the electromagnet 29 which keeps the lower door closed. This door opens, the dumpster empties. The bucket electromagnets are then energized again; the bucket goes up. The lever 27 of the drain pore 25 meeting the stop 31 closes this door which is then worm rusted by the electromagnet 29 receiving current. The bucket comes into contact with the hopper.
Register 12 is opened again and a second cycle of the operations described begins again automatically.
