' Beispiel <I>1:
Beispiel <I>2:</I> Man lässt 150 Thionyl- ehlorid zu 100 Gewichtsteilen Äthanolamin- chlorhydrat hinzufliessen.
Process for the preparation of a salt of chloroethylamine. In the main patent, a process for the preparation of chloroethyl diethylamine is described, which is characterized in that thionyl chloride is allowed to act on a mineral acid salt of ethanol diethylamine and then off. the formed salt of Chloräthyldiäthylamins by means of alkaline substances sets the base free.
Ice has now been found that the already known hydrochloric acid salt of chloroethylamine can be produced in a number of ways and while avoiding the disadvantages indicated in the introduction of the main patent if thionyl chloride is allowed to act on the hydrochloric acid salt of ethanolamine. When combining the starting material with the thionyl chloride, little or no heat generation occurs.
The reac tion is even advantageously carried out with heating. After heating the mixture to 40 to <B> 50 '</B> C for one hour, it is usually already complete. The reaction product is usually almost colorless in crystallized form and obtained in practically quantitative yield. A dilution of the reaction mass with inert solvents is either not necessary at all or only requires small amounts, so that solvent losses are practically completely avoided.
From the hydrochloric acid salt of chloroethylamine formed in the process, the free base can be set free, usually in a simple manner by adding alkali. They, as well as their hydrochloric acid salt, are valuable intermediate products for the production of textile auxiliaries, which can be used particularly in the animation of rayon. They are also suitable for the production of plastics. 'Example <I> 1:
A suspension of 440 parts by weight of ethanolamine chlorohydrate in 500 parts by weight of chloroform gives 500 parts by weight of thionyl chloride dissolved in 500 parts by weight of chloroform. added. It is warmed to 50 C until no more hydrochloric acid escapes. The original solid salt changes into a viscous., Lasse, which solidifies to a crystal pulp when cooled.
After suctioning off and drying, almost the theoretical amount of the chlorohydrate of chloroethylamine is obtained.
Example <I> 2 </I> 150 thionyl chloride are allowed to flow in to 100 parts by weight of ethanolamine chlorohydrate. There is strong development of hydrochloric acid and sulfur diogyd, without the mass heating up by itself. When heated to 50 to 60 ° C, the reaction mass becomes viscous.
The slight excess of thionyl chloride is removed in vacuo and a pale, crystalline powder remains.
