Appareil photographique.
Camera. The present invention relates to a photographic apparatus for taking on the same plate a certain number of photographic views arranged in rows and being able for example to number 63 (9 rows of 7 views).
It aims to create a device which allows the taking of different views in a particularly fast way.
With a view to achieving this aim, the apparatus is characterized in that it comprises a row of dark rooms and shutters which are intended to act as shutters for said rooms and which are formed by pierced slats. openings and in that means are provided to be able to successively trigger the shutters so as to form a row of photographic viewsb on the plate and to be able to move the plate by the height of a row of sockets after each printing of the plate.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the apparatus according to the invention. Fig. 1 is an elevational view; Fig. 2 is a section taken along the line II-II in FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a plan view.
The apparatus consists of a box 1, for example made of wood, which rests on a base 2 and which is divided into three compartments 3, 4, to by two vertical partitions 6 and 7.
The central compartment 4 contains a series of small dark rooms 4 'which are juxtaposed on the same horizontal line.
In the present case, these chambers are formed by two horizontal crosspieces 8 and 9 (FIG. 2) joined by vertical partitions 10.
Each chamber is fitted with an objective 11. All the objectives are mounted on a horizontal cross member 12.
The partitions are preferably arranged in a slightly converging manner towards the front so as to obtain a correct placement of the impressions. The same result can also be obtained by tilting the side lenses slightly towards the central lens.
With each darkroom cooperates a shutter 13 which is constituted by a simple slat, for example copper or aluminum, pierced with an opening 14 and provided, at its upper part, with a flange 15 folded at right angles through which the shutters come to rest on a wooden strip 16 which can slide horizontally thanks to a button 17 which can move in a groove 18 (fig. 1) This strip can move along the rear face of the appliance in guides 19 and has a greater width in its part 20 which must support the flaps 13.
By operating the button 17 causing the slide 16 to move, the flaps 13 can be released so that they fall successively. The successive fall of these slats allows the openings 14 to pass in front of the objectives and thus determines the impression at successive locations of the plate 23 which is held in guide grooves 24.
The plate 23 rests on a cross member 25 also guided in the grooves 24 and whose role will be described below.
The raising of the shutters, with a view to rearming the device, is provided by a chette plan 26 which extends over the entire length of the compartment 4 and which has at its lower part a heel 27 intended to act on the end lower flaps 13 when these have been lowered. This heel is generally provided with small springs holding the flaps 13. With this board 26 forms a small box 26a divided into seven parts for the passage of the slats 13. Each part is further provided with an opening serving as a diaphragm.
The board 26 is integral with a vertical rod 28 provided with an operating button 29 and passing through guide openings 30 provided respectively in a horizontal partition 31 of the compartment $ and in the. base 2.
On the other hand, with the cross member 25 forms a small part 32 which can slide in a groove 33 provided in the rear face of the device. On the part 32 is fixed a rack 34 which is provided at its lower part with boards 35 and 36.
The rear face 37 of the apparatus is extended by two flats 38 which receive the board 35 and serve to guide the lower end of the rack.
At the lower end of the rack is fixed the end of a spring 39 which rolls around a small drum 40. On the rod 28 is fixed a part 41 comprising an inclined plane 42 with which a roller cooperates. 43 fixed to the end of a pawl 44, on which is articulated a lever 45 pivoting at 46 and receiving at its other end a second pawl 47 subjected to the action of a spring 48 fixed to the frame of the apparatus. The lever 45 is subjected to the action of a spring 49.
The operation of the device is as follows: When it is desired to take a photograph, the flaps 13 and the plate 23 must be in the position indicated in fig. 2. The operator then moves the slider 16 through button 17 so as to successively fall the flaps 13 and to print the plate 23 on a strip located at its upper part. When this band has been impressed, the operator must reset the device, that is to say he must return the flaps to the position of fig. 2 and raise the plate 23 to the height of a strip.
The shutters are raised by raising, using button 29, the rod 28 with which the chette plane 26 is attached which, as already said, acts on the lower part of the shutters 13 and raises them all at the same time . When the rod 28 has reached the end of its upward stroke, the strip 16 is again moved so as to bring the widened part 20 under the flaps 17 of the flaps which are thus again supported. The rod 28 is then lowered back to its original position mon trée in FIG. 1.
On the other hand, during the upward movement of the rod 28, the roller 43 moves inwards and horizontally. By this movement, the pawl 44 also moves in the same direction, while the pawl 47 moves in the opposite direction by disengaging from the tooth in which it was swimming, the rack 34 rises slightly upwards under the action of the spring 39. During the descent of the board 28, the pawls 4: 1-47 move in the opposite direction so that the pawl 47 engages in the next tooth of the rack 34, while the click 44 comes out of the tooth in which it was engaged.
The tooth-to-tooth distances corresponding to the height of a row of shots, the cross bar 25 and, therefore, the plate 23 are raised by the necessary distance.
When the rack goes up, the spring. \ L9 winds on the drum 40.
When. all the photos are taken, a new plate is introduced into the slides 24; by pushing on it, the operator causes the board to lower? 5 and the rack 34. By this movement, the spring 39 unwinds; on the other hand, the cre-mesh acts on the pawl 47 which is erased thanks to the elasticity of the spring 48 and which, finally, is returned to the position indicated by the spring 48 and stopped by a lug 51.
Plate 23 is held by pawl 47 acting as a lock until, as explained above, rod 8 is lifted upward.
Instead of using several objectives for the taking of the sights, one can obtain the same result by making use of a single objective which moves in front of the chambers 4 '. The lever 45 could be replaced by a toothed wheel meshing with the pawls 44 and 47.
