Beispiel 1: 1-Amino -4 - anilidoanthrachinonyl-2 -me- tharrsulfosäure:
EMI0001.0025
Process for the production of an acidic wool dye of the anthraquinone series. It has been found that the reaction of 1-amino-4-halogenanthrachirronyl-2-methanesulfonic acids with aniline gives a valuable acidic wool dye of the anthraquinore series. The reaction is expediently carried out in an aqueous solution in the presence of acid-binding agents and a copper salt as a catalyst.
The new end material available is blue needles, which dye wool from an acid bath in clear blue tones of good levelness.
The 1-amino-4-haloanthraquinonyl-2-methanesulfonic acids used as starting material can be prepared by first converting 1-chloro-2-methylanthraquinone into 1-chloro-2-co-chloromethylanthraquinone by side-chain chlorination, this product by heating with Sulphite solution converted into 1-chloroanthraquinonyl-2-methanesulphonic acid,
here the chlorine atom is exchanged in the usual way by heating with ammonia for the NH2 group and then a halogen atom is introduced in the 4-position by treatment with a halogenating agent, for example a solution of bromine in aqueous hydrochloric acid.
Example 1: 1-Amino -4 - anilidoanthraquinonyl-2-metharrsulfonic acid:
EMI0001.0025
A mixture of 250 cm 'water, 5 g of the sodium salt of 1-amino-4-bromantbra-quinonyl-2-methanesulfonic acid, 15 g of soda, 60 cms of aniline and 0.25 g of copper sulfate is heated to the boil for 3 hours, with the originally red solution turns blue. Hydrochloric acid is then added until the reaction is acidic, the product is filtered off with suction while it is still warm and washed with 20% sodium chloride solution.
The crude dye is dissolved in water, boiled with animal charcoal, filtered and the filtrate is carefully salted out with potassium chloride. The potassium salt of 1-amino-4-aiiilido-anthraquinonyl-2-metharrsulfonic acid is obtained in fine blue needles, which dyes wool from an acid bath in clear blue tones with good Ega quality.
Example 2: A mixture of 380 ems of distilled water, 7.6 g of 1-amino-4-bromantrachinor) yl-2-methane sulfonic acid, 22.8 g of aniline, 11.4 g of potash and 0, 38 g copper sulphate is slowly heated to 800 C and held for about 1 hour at a temperature of 80-8510.
The dye is then filtered off with suction, dissolved in water, precipitated with hydrochloric acid, washed with 4% strength potassium chloride solution, dissolved in soda water, boiled with animal charcoal and the filtrate carefully salted out with potassium chloride. The potassium salt of 1-amino-4-anilidoanthraquinonyl-2-methanesulfonic acid is obtained in good yield.
