Process for the production of a vat dye. The main patent relates to a process by which a new valuable vat dye is obtained if 1. 4-diamino-2-anthraquinonyl-2 '. 3'-anthraquinonogazole is reacted with benzoyl chloride.
It has now been found that a new, valuable vat dye is also obtained if 1. 4-diamino-2-anthraquinoneyl-2 '(N), 3' (S) -anthraquinonthiazole is also used Reacts benzoyl chloride.
The thiazole can be prepared as follows, for example: A mixture of 40 parts of 1 is heated. 4-diamino-anthraquinone-2-carbonylamino-2 '. 3'-Bromanthraquinone (obtainable, for example, from 1-Amino-4-nitroanthraquinone-2-carbonylamino-2 '. 3'-Bromanthraquinone by reduction with hydrazine hydrate in nitrobenzene at 80 ° C ) and 450 parts of phenol to <B> 1.50 '</B> C.
Then 60 parts of sodium sulfide and 80 parts of sulfur are added and the mass is heated to 170 to 180 ° C until no more unchanged starting material can be identified, then diluted with nitrobenzene and sucks in the heat and works up in the usual way. The resulting <B> 1. </B> 4 diamino-2-anthraquinonyl-2 '(N), 3' (S) -anthraquinonthiazole dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a brownish-yellow color and dyes cotton with a violet güpe in class ren, greenish blue tones.
Example:., A mixture of 10 parts of 1.4-diamino-2-anthraquinonyl-2 (N), 3 '(S) -anthraquinone-thiazole, 150 parts of nitrobenzene, 10 parts of benzoyl chloride and 0.5 part of pyridine will last heated to 120 C until no more starting material can be detected.
You then work up in the usual way and so the 1-amino-4-benzoylamino-2-anthraquinonyl-2 '(N), 3' (S) -anthraquinone thiazole in the form of blue-violet needles, which is in concentrated sulfuric acid loosen with green color and dye cotton from a violet vat in greenish blue tones with excellent light and chlorine fastness.
