Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines sekundären Alkylamins. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines sekundären Alky lamins, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Tetradecylchlorid mit wässerigem Am moniak im Druckkessel auf Temperaturen zwischen 120 und 170 erhitzt.
Das so erhaltene Ditetradecylamin kri stallisiert aus Alkohol in farblosen Kristal len, die bei 61 schmelzen. Das Chlorhydrat ist in Wasser unlöslich. Das neue Amin soll als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von Färbereihilfsprodukten Verwendung finden. <I>.Beispiel:</I> 50 kg Tetradecylchlorid werden mit 400 kg etwa 55 bis 60%igem wässerigem Ammoniak 7 bis 8 :Stunden auf 140 bis 145 im Druckkessel erhitzt. Nach Erkalten wird das feste Reaktionsprodukt von der wässeri- gen Schicht getrennt und getrocknet. Das Umsetzungsprodukt besteht vornehmlich aus Ditetradecylamin, das durch Umkristallisie- ren aus Alkohol gereinigt werden kann.
Process for the preparation of a secondary alkylamine. The present patent relates to a process for the production of a secondary alkylamine, characterized in that tetradecyl chloride is heated to temperatures between 120 and 170 in a pressure vessel with aqueous ammonia.
The ditetradecylamine obtained in this way crystallizes from alcohol in colorless crystals which melt at 61. The chlorine hydrate is insoluble in water. The new amine is said to be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of auxiliary dye products. <I>. Example: </I> 50 kg of tetradecyl chloride are heated with 400 kg of about 55 to 60% aqueous ammonia for 7 to 8 hours to 140 to 145 hours in a pressure vessel. After cooling, the solid reaction product is separated from the aqueous layer and dried. The reaction product consists primarily of ditetradecylamine, which can be purified by recrystallization from alcohol.
