Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Küpenfarb-          stoffes,    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist,       dass_man        1.4-Benzochinon    auf     2.2-Diphenyl-          dihydrodianthron    in der Wärme einwirken  lässt.

    werden zusammen mit 100 Gewichtsteilen       1.4-Benzochinon    in 1000     Volumteilen    Chlor  benzol 18 Stunden unter     Rückfluss    gekocht.  Nach dem Erkalten wird der dunkle Kristall  brei abgesaugt und mit Chlorbenzol ge  waschen. Darauf wird der Rückstand zur  Reinigung aus einer Mischung gleicher Teile  Alkohol und etwa einfachnormaler Natron  lauge ausgekocht, bis das heiss abgesaugte  Filtrat nicht mehr braun gefärbt ist. Nach  dem     Neutralwaschen    und Trocknen stellt der  Rückstand ein     bronzefarbenes    Kristallpulver  dar.

   Es löst sich in konzentrierter Schwefel  säure     violettrot    und färbt die pflanzliche  Faser aus violetter     Küpe    grün.
