<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum. Hauptpatent Nr. 182723. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Nüpenfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen Küpen- farbstoff herstellen kann, wenn man 1 Mol tetrachloriertes Pyrenchinon vom Schmelz punkt<B>3620</B> mit 1 Mol 2-Chlor-4-methyl-l- aminobenzot umsetzt.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein braun grünes Pulver dar, das aus Nitrobenzol um kristallisiert werden kann. Es schmilzt bei 285-290 , löst sich in konzentrierter Schwe felsäure mit brauner Farbe und färbt Baum wolle aus orangebraun gefärbter Küpe in gelböliven Tönen von guter Echtheit.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 37 Teile Tetrachlorpyrenchinon vom Schmelzpunkt<B>3620,</B> 57 Teile 2-Chlor-4- methyl-l-amiiiobenzol und wenig Naturkupfer C werden in 300 Volumenteilen Trichlor- benzol suspendiert und während 20 Stunden bei einer Temperatur von 120-1250 ver- rührt. Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wird filtriert, mit Benzol gewaschen und ge trocknet.

The dye obtained is a brown-green powder that can be crystallized from nitrobenzene. It melts at 285-290, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a brown color and dyes cotton from an orange-brown vat in yellow-oil shades of good fastness.
<I> Example: </I> 37 parts of tetrachloropyrenquinone with a melting point of <B> 3620, </B> 57 parts of 2-chloro-4-methyl-1-amiobenzene and a little natural copper C are suspended in 300 parts by volume of trichlorobenzene and during Stirred for 20 hours at a temperature of 120-1250. After the reaction has ended, it is filtered, washed with benzene and dried.
