Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 169707. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen walkechten Anthrachinonfarbstoifes. Das vorliegende Verfahren betrifft die Darstellung eines neuen, walkechten Anthra- chinonfarbstoffes und ist dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man 1-Amino-2-sulfo-4(3'- chloi-phenyl)aminoantlirachinon in schwach saurer wässeriger Lösung mit Formaldehyd behandelt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man rührt 10 Teile des Natriumsalzes des 1-Amino-2-sulfo-4(3'-ehlorphenyl)amino- anthrachinons mit 200 'feilen Wasser, 2 Tei len Formaldehyd von 40%, 2 Teilen Essig säure auf dem siedenden Wasserbad, bis eine in Wasser gezogene Probe nicht mehr grüner wird. Der Farbstoff wird gefällt, abgesaugt und durch Umlösen gereinigt.
Der neue Farbstoff färbt Wolle licht und walkecht blau und besitzt die Formel

Denselben Farbstoff erhält man, wenn in Jiesem Beispiel die Essigsäure durch kon- #rte Salzsäure ersetzt wird.

The present process relates to the preparation of a new, millfast anthraquinone dye and is characterized in that 1-amino-2-sulfo-4 (3'-chloi-phenyl) aminoantlirachinone is treated with formaldehyde in a weakly acidic aqueous solution.
<I> Example: </I> 10 parts of the sodium salt of 1-amino-2-sulfo-4 (3'-chlorophenyl) amino-anthraquinone are stirred with 200 parts of water, 2 parts of 40% formaldehyde, 2 parts Acetic acid on the boiling water bath until a sample taken in water no longer turns green. The dye is precipitated, suctioned off and purified by dissolving.
The new dye dyes wool light and millfast blue and has the formula
