Waschbecken.
Sink. The present invention relates to a wash basin with a drain and overflow and with a drain trough formed in a single piece with the basin body and shaped under the drain opening.
One has already hit such a sink before, in which the odor trap usually required by the official installation regulations in the form of a BEZW molded on the sink itself. was formed integrally cast recess, however, these constructions had disadvantages of various kinds.
For most of them, only a simple conical valve (so-called chain valve) could be used as a shut-off device, most of them did not allow cleaning and in many cases not even emptying (for risk of frost), or the approach was a complicated fitting, the flow cross-sections were too small and too tortuous, so that the outflow was noisy and with partial siphoning out of the amount of water forming the odor trap, and with many there was the risk of clogging by foreign bodies and evaporation of the water,
which should form the odor trap.
It is also already known that toilet bowls and sinks with such on or. to provide a shaped siphon attachment, in which there is a relatively large space for the siphon available, while the dimensions of the siphon attachment must be kept as small as possible in washbasins for aesthetic and practical reasons, and in addition there is no drain valve in toilet bowls and therefore no overflow device neces sary, which of course allows a simple solution.
The abovementioned inconveniences are now eliminated in the wash basin according to the invention in that the drainage trough has a rear opening for the connection of the drainage line and a lower opening coaxial with the basin drainage opening, into which the latter two openings have a dip tube designed as a a removable valve sleeve is inserted for cleaning, the whole thing in such a way that an odor trap is formed in the trough through the immersion pipe with the water level directly below the pool floor,
in which the overflow channels without connection with the pool drain are led separately to close to the bottom of the drainage trough, the space between the two overflow channels forming an odor trap chamber extending upward from the highest point of the trough formed and the air chamber Cross section of the drainage trough is a multiple of the cross section of the pool drain opening and the opening for connecting the drain line.
The drain valve can be of any design, because it can be inserted into the basin with the valve sleeve, so that, for example, valves whose actuation rods penetrate the basin body, such as eccentric valves, can easily be used. The drainage takes place silently and without siphoning out the water supply, as there is an air chamber at the highest point of the water seal chamber and the overflow channels are inserted separately into the odor seal without being connected to the pool drain.
As a result, the odor seal is complete and the entire drainage trough can be completely cleaned at any time by removing the valve sleeve.
Furthermore, evaporation of the water content is limited to a minimum as a result of the smallest evaporation areas with a large water content. The valve sleeve is expediently provided at the lower end with a screw-off closure cap so that the drainage trough can easily be completely emptied.
An embodiment of the subject invention is provided in the drawing, namely shows: Fig. 1 the wash basin in a vertical longitudinal section along line II in Fig. \ ?, Fig. 2 is a cross section of the same along line II-II in Fig. 1, Fig 3 shows a horizontal section along line III-III in FIG. 1, and FIG. 4 shows a variant in perpendicular section.
FIGS. 1 to 3 show a wash basin for a dressing table. The basin body B made of ceramic material has a spacious drainage trough 1 on the lower side. This drainage trough 1 has a cross-section that increases in size from bottom to top. From the overflow opening b two overflow channels 2 in the basin wall downwards, which extend almost to the bottom of the drain trough 1, whereby they are partially gebil det within the trough 3 walls. Between these channels 2 there is a high air chamber 2a,
which emanates from the highest point of the odor trap chamber formed by the drainage trough and prevents the contents of the trough from being lifted out when the water flows out. The drain trough 1 has a coaxial opening to the basin drain opening c yes, and in both openings a valve sleeve 4 designed as a dip tube is used, which is closed at the top by a valve cone 5, which is actuated by an eccentric rod 6 be.
The valve sleeve 4 is attached by means of a ring nut 7 on the approach 1 and on the lower end of the same an extension 8 is screwed, in which the drive rod 9 of the valve eccentric is inserted, which is fixed by means of a rod 10 at the upper end, on the upper pool edge seated button 11 is operated. The extension 8 is closed at the lower end by a screw cap 12.
On the back wall of the. Drainage trough 1 is an opening d, the position of which is dimensioned in relation to the drainage trough so that the drainage pipe 13 connected to the opening is just flush with the lower edge of the pool floor. Since this edge respectively the overflow. The drain forms, so the water level in the drain trough is always directly below the bottom of the pool. If coarse contaminants get through the drain valve into the drain trough, they will remain on the bottom and cannot (read the higher drain pipe clog because they cannot get into it at all,
because in the trough, as a result of the widening of the cross-section, there is a lower drainage velocity than in its inlet and outlet. The cross section of the drain trough is a multiple of the cross section of the basin drain opening c and the opening d for connecting the drain line.
In the variant shown in FIG. 4, the valve closure is not actuated by a linkage, but the plug 5 is attached to a chain 13 and can be pulled out by means of the same.
The wash basin described can be used on dressing tables, bidets, sinks, etc.
