Process for the operation of intermittently acting absorption chillers and for the execution of this method serving, intermittently acting absorption chillers. The invention relates to a process for the operation of intermittently we acting absorption chillers and to a serving for the execution of this decorative process,
intermittent absorption refrigeration apparatus. Intermittently acting absorption refrigeration devices are to be understood as meaning devices in which periods in which refrigerant is expelled from an absorption medium at higher pressure and liquefied alternate with periods in which the liquefied refrigerant evaporates at lower pressure and is removed from the absorbent is resumed.
In apparatuses of this type, it is known to circulate absorption solution between a heated cooking area and an unheated absorption area via a temperature changer during the cooking periods. In the previously proposed apparatus of this type, however, the coolant had to be regularly turned on again for the absorption period, because otherwise the kettle base would be absorbed in the cooled absorption solution.
Any air cooling of the container containing the unheated absorption solution during the cooking periods is not sufficient in the known systems to move away the entire amount of absorption heat that occurs during the absorption periods. Because if the air cooling in the known devices had been made so strong, the cooking vapors would have been pale in the cooking periods when they were formed, as mentioned, would have been immediately reabsorbed in the adequately cooled solution without going to the condenser and in a liquefied state from there to go to the vaporizer.
In contrast, the invention relates to a method for operating intermittently acting absorption refrigerators, which consists of:
the boiling period is heated by a portion of the absorption solution, and in the absorption periods a portion of the absorption solution is circulated by a cooling device which is exposed to the influence of an external coolant in both periods, whose heat removal capacity is sufficient to remove the greatest amount of absorption heat per unit of time, and that furthermore in: the cooking periods the absorption solution circulating between the heating point and the cooling device changes heat.
The invention also creates an intermittently acting absorption refrigeration apparatus for carrying out the method according to the invention with absorption solution circulating in the cooking and absorption periods and a cooling device constantly exposed to the influence of an external coolant, the heat dissipation capacity of which is used to generate the greatest amount of absorption heat per unit of time sufficient.
The drawing shows an example of a sorption chiller from: which works according to the method according to the present invention.
In the drawing, 11 denotes an unheated storage vessel for absorption solution, 12 a liquid temperature changer, 13 the cooker, 14: the condenser and 15 the evaporator of the apparatus. It is assumed that: the apparatus works with water as the absorbent and ammonia as the refrigerant; : but the apparatus can be operated with any other known refrigerants and absorbents.
The apparatus is originally filled up to: the level line marked with I. The storage vessel 11 is therefore completely filled with absorption solution and also remains completely filled, especially during the cooking period of the apparatus.
During the cooking periods, the cooker 13 is supplied with heat in any known manner, for example by a heating cartridge, a gas flame, an oil burner, a steam jacket or the like. By supplying heat to the cooker, which is provided with an insulation 30 in a manner known per se, the liquid standing in it is lighter than that in the unheated storage vessel, respectively, by thermosyphon effect. solution standing in one leg of the temperature changer, so that the digester level rises and the liquid circulates between the digester 13 and the storage vessel 11.
In order to: intensify this, a pump loop 13a heated by a gas flame, i.e. a thermosyphon, is arranged, which is heated in a known manner by the heat supply to the cooker and the absorption solution between the unheated storage vessel 11 by means of the crash bubble effect and the boiling point 13 circulates. Especially in this case it is. It is expedient to provide a chimney 31 which extends through the insulation 30 and around which: the pump loop 13a is wound.
The chimney is in good metallic connection with the tubular cooker 13. It is advisable to pour heat-conducting metal masses between the two tubes. so that the chimney and stove are connected to one another with large metallic surfaces.
The rich liquid lifted by the pump loop 13a is degassed by the, Wärmezu drove in the digester 13: which is designed as a relatively narrow pipe and flows through a line 20 to the temperature changer 12, which is similar to: the digester from an insulation 32 is surrounded. This insulation can expediently consist of cork or the like, while the insulation of the digester 13 and the pump loop 13a is expediently designed as foil insulation or vacuum insulation in order to have the lowest possible heat capacity.
From the temperature changer 12, the solution enters the upper part of the storage vessel 11a through line 20. The part 11a: of the storage vessel 11 consists of a cylindrical vessel which is connected by two lines 11c and 11d to the lower part 11b of the storage vessel. This lower part 11b is also designed as a cylindrical vessel.
The parts 11ct and 11b are provided with 1% cooling ribs 33 which are offset from one another in the vertical plane in such a way that the cooling ribs of both the vessel part 11b and the vessel part 11a receive fresh air through natural ventilation. From the lower part 11.b of the storage vessel, the rich solution is passed through line 19 via the insulated temperature changer 12 to the pump loop 1.3a and from there raised to the digester. The refrigerant vapors expelled during the heating of the cooker 13 flow upward through a line 16.
This Lei device 16 is provided with insert plates 34 and optionally with cooling plates 35 in a manner known per se. Instead of this device, any other rectification device or any other device that prevents the liquid from boiling up in the narrow cooker pipe can be used. The line 16 is led to a vessel-like widening 36, which is provided with cooling flanges 37 on the outside and with perforated insert plates 38 on the inside. Two lines 39 and 40 lead from the vessel 36 to a lower-lying vessel 41; the mouth of the line 39 in the vessel 36 is located at a slightly higher point than the mouth of the line 40.
In the vessel 41, too, the opening point of the line 39 is higher than that of the line 40, which in any case must be pulled down below the opening point of the line 39. During operation, a certain amount of steam condenses in the vessel 36, which mainly consists of absorbent and which collects on the insert plates 38. Excess amounts of liquid flow off into the vessel 41 and collect there. These excess quantities can be drained through a line 42 after the storage vessel 11 via the line lld.
The amount of liquid that is collected in the vessel 41 has a purpose to be discussed later. From the vessel 41, the vapors expelled in the cooker go through a line 18 to the condenser 14, which can be formed in any known manner. The ver liquefied refrigerant in the condenser runs by itself into the evaporator 15, the upper part 15 a, which represents a collecting container for the condensate expelled from, is suitably isolated by an insulation 43.
From the sem part 15a of the evaporator, the lower part 15b of the evaporator protrudes downwards into a (not shown in the drawing) cold room, for example a refrigerator. The lower part of the evaporator has a cylindrical vessel 44 to which, in a known manner, pipe coils 45 are connected, into which ice boxes or other objects that need to be cooled quickly can be inserted. The evaporator is expediently provided with an automatic drainage device.
Instead of the automatic drainage device, known, manually operated or periodically controlled valves can also be net angeord. In the exemplary embodiment, the automatic drainage of the evaporator is achieved by a U-tube 46, which is in a. Vessel 47 opens.
Since the water remaining in the evaporator after an absorption period is heavier than the newly arriving ammonia for the next boiling period, the remaining water is in the lowest part of the evaporator and is therefore pushed upwards in the pipe 46 when the evaporator is refilled, until it overflows into the container 47 at the end of the filling.
This overflowing water is drained through a line 48 after the pipe 18, vessel 41 and line 42. However, this line 42 can also be performed directly after the liquid in the storage vessel 11 or to any other unheated liquid.
The evaporator and the rectification device 34, 35 in the line 16, as well as the vessel 36 can be designed as desired. For example, the steam coming from the cooker can be rectified by its own condensate before it enters the condenser instead of by means of the rectification device 34, 35 shown, or the cooker steam can be bubbled through rich or poor absorption solution (as shown in vessel 41). , brought and thereby rectified,
or by another heat exchange with rich or poor solution. The upper part of the evaporator can, as shown, be insulated, in which case an insulation of low thermal capacity, for example foil insulation or vacuum insulation, is expediently used. Any other means can be used to prevent uncondensed refrigerant vapor from entering the evaporator and heating it during the cooking periods.
For example, the evaporator can be partially filled with an auxiliary liquid that is lighter than the refrigerant, so that this liquid fills parts 44 and 45 of the evaporator at the beginning of the boiling periods, but is gradually displaced upwards by the ingress of the condensate .
As soon as the heating is switched on in the apparatus shown, due to the small amount of liquid that has to be heated in the cooker, a strong gas development from this small amount of liquid will immediately occur, so that only a short time elapses before the first refrigerant vapors step to the capacitor.
Since the heat of absorption by means of the cooling ribs 3 3 eliminating the cooling element, i.e. the actual absorption point lla emitting the heat of absorption is designed as a memory and is completely filled with liquid during the cooking period, no condensation or absorption of cooker vapor can occur therein. Rather, the liquid in the line 42 is a closure that keeps the cooking gases away from cold absorption solution and ensures their immediate routing to the condenser, so that this is fully utilized from the beginning to the end of the cooking period.
Through the circulation device, that is either through the thermosyphon effect of the cooker, which comes about through the specific weight difference of the liquids in the cooker and storage vessel and in the lines connecting these vessels, or, as shown, through the gas bubble pump 13a, the gas is gradually degassed Cooker contents are replaced, and the heat absorbed by the liquid in the cooker is used in the temperature changer 12 to preheat the new rich solution flowing to the cooker.
The poor solution emerging from the temperature changer into the storage vessel is withdrawn by the cooling device 33, which removes the heat of absorption in the absorption periods, during the cooking period, so that a certain part of the circulating solution is always ready for absorption and So the Kühlvor direction. 33 is constantly being exploited.
If the entire solution contained in parts 11a and 11b of the storage vessel and in temperature changer 12 is sufficiently degassed, for example from its original concentration of 40% to, for example, 18%, then in any known manner , for example by a thermostat system, which is controlled in a known manner either by the temperature or the pressure in any of the apparatus parts, the heating is turned off.
As soon as the heating is switched off, the pressure drops very quickly because of the cooling flanges 37 on the vessel 36 and also because of the cooling flanges 35 on the line 16, especially since the digester content is extremely low in relation to the overall system.
The lowering of the pressure in the line 16 and in the vessel 36 has the consequence that the liq fluid rises from the vessel 41 into the lines 39 and 40, and thus automatically a pressure column in the connecting line between the vaporizer gas that locks the way to the boiling point Evaporator on the one hand and the cooker respectively. the parts of the apparatus cooled by the cooling fins 37 and 35, on the other hand, when the heat supply to the apparatus is switched off, that is, generated during the transition from the heating period to the cooling period.
The upper part 11a of the storage vessel is connected via a line 49 with a small diameter to an equalizing vessel 21, which is expediently cylindrical and is surrounded by any insulation jacket 50. The actual liquid level of the storage vessel 11 is moved into this equalization vessel. The content volume of the equalizing vessel 21 is suitably smaller than that of the storage vessel. A line 51 leads from the upper part of the vessel 21 to the gas space of the cooker or to the pressure area of the vessel 36.
The line 51 can open either directly above the digester level or via a rectification device of any kind, not shown, or above the baffle plates 34.
This line causes the pressure above the level of the Ausgleielisgefäßes 21 in the boiling and absorption periods to be as great as the pressure above the expulsion point. Although the line 51, as mentioned above, can open at any desired point in the apparatus, it is particularly advantageous to have it open at a point in the apparatus where the pressure drops rapidly when the boiler heating is switched off.
Since the vessel-like extension 36 with the cooled by the plates 37, standing on the plates 38 from sorption solution ensures rapid absorption of the cooker vapor and thus rapid pressure reduction when the heating is switched off, it is therefore advantageous to use the device 51 in an appa. to let rat part open, which is in open gas connection with the container 36. This equalizing vessel 21 ensures that the pressure drop in the area of the vessel 36 and the line 16 is transferred to the vessel 21 and thus to the storage vessel 11.
As soon as the boiling period is completed and the pressure drop occurs in the vessel 36 and thus also in the cooker 13 and equalization vessel 21, gas that comes out of the evaporator flows out of the evaporator, which generates cold when it is formed, as the way to the cooker flows through the liquid lock 39, 40 ver is locked, from the evaporator via line 18, vessel 41 and line 42 to the Lei device lld and pearls in the line 11d upwards. The liquid columns arising in lines 39 and 40 hold the counterweight to the evaporator pressure.
The gas entering the -1 absorption point L s lla of the storage vessel is quickly absorbed because the solution in both parts lla and llb of the storage vessel was already cooled during the heating period. The absorption and thus the cooling capacity begins much faster than was possible with machines of the previous type, in which the entire amount of absorbent had to be cooled down from the digester temperature to the absorption temperature.
The refrigerant vapors entering the line lld which does not give off any heat cause the absorption solution to circulate during the absorption period from the part llb of the storage vessel, which is only used as a storage unit, through the cooled absorption point, i.e. through the upper part lla of the storage vessel.
The refrigerant vapors also cause the solution to circulate between parts 11a and 11b via line 11e. In the storage vessel 11 thus takes place during the absorption period a iii itself closed, from the circulation generated by the thermosyphon 13a during the cooking period different circulation instead; in which the refrigerant vapors coming from the evaporator come into constant contact with new poor solution because of this circulation.
The resulting heat of absorption is dissipated by the device 33, which is constantly exposed to air cooling. The cooling of the vessel 11 serving as an absorber as well as that of the condenser 14 can also take place directly by water or by means of indirect cooling systems instead of directly by air.
The junction points of the lines 11d, 11e, 19 and 20 into the storage vessel are expediently chosen such that enriched solution can only enter the line lld from below during the absorption periods when the entire contents of the storage vessel have already become rich is, and that during the boiling periods, poor solution can only come to the mouth of the line 19 when the entire remaining contents of the storage vessel are already poor, so:
So that no or as little mixtures as possible of the absorption solution arise in the storage vessel itself. This can be ensured, for example, by the storage vessel itself, instead of, as shown, in the form of two cylinders with connecting lines, in the form of a single vessel in which a certain path is prescribed for the solution, for example through perforated partition walls , or is designed in the form of a spiral tube, the diameter of which is so narrow that no mixtures of the two solutions in the storage vessel can occur.
In particular, the line 49, which forms an open fluid connection between the storage vessel 11 and the equalizing vessel 21, is expediently made of such a narrow diameter that no convection currents can arise between the storage vessel and the vessel 21. The content, in particular the liquid level of the vessel 21 therefore does not take part in the circulation of the absorption solution, but is withdrawn from all flow movements.
The compensation vessel 21, which can be located at any point in the liquid circulation, but from the cooling point of the apparatus, that is: the cooling flanges 33, is to be spatially and thermally separated, initially has the above-mentioned purpose, the pressure reduction that occurs when the stove heating is switched off the digester level and the vessel 41 arises to carry over to the storage vessel and to a certain extent by this suction effect to facilitate the vaporizer gas tearing open the liquid lock in the line 42 and the way to the absorption point 11a.
The vessel 21 also serves to accommodate the level fluctuations of the liquid that occur during degassing and absorption. While, as he mentioned, the apparatus was originally filled up to level line I, the level in vessel 21 sinks to level line II during the expulsion. The amount of liquid corresponding to this level difference is found at the end of the expulsion period as a liquid refrigerant at least for mostly in the evaporator again.
In other words: During the boiling period, the actual absorption point 11a is separated from the gas space of the cooker by two liquid columns in the line 42 and in the vessel 21, one of which (42) is torn open at the beginning of the absorption period, while the other (21st ) according to the boiled resp. reabsorbed amounts of refrigerant fluctuates and is kept above the condensation temperature of the refrigerant vapors during the boiling period. The vessel 21 is surrounded by a thermal insulation jacket 50. It is therefore on an inter mediate during the cooking periods. the intermediate temperature lying between the expulsion and cooling temperatures.
However, it can also be brought into heat-exchanging connection with the line 16 which is an extension of the digester. In any case, it must, if necessary by additional heating, be kept at a temperature that is high enough to prevent condensation of cooking vapors flowing through line 16.
When turning off the heat supply to the cooker occurs, as mentioned, because of the self-acting effect .des liquid lock 39, 40 a pressure drop in line 16 and in vessel 36 because of the condensation of the vapors contained in these spaces.
-) ÄTerden the Rektifika.tionseinrich- devices, as shown, with the help of not at the same height as the cooker mirror arranged butt plates 34 respectively. Insert plates 38 made of such a nature that they serve as storage devices for the absorption solution kept during the cooking period below the rexnperatur of the cooker, the result of the constant cooling of these plates with the help of the external air cooling fins is that the temperature on the plates is reduced ,
Both from the solution forming the surface of the Kocherznhaltes as from the solution contained in the storage vessel solution different solution, a particularly rapid drop in pressure after turning off the cooker heating, since in addition to the condensation also absorption of cooker takes place on these plates, the one Ensure intimate contact of the cooking vapors with the solution. This pressure reduction causes evaporator gas to enter the circulation device lld and @that, as mentioned,
Liquid from the vessel 41 is pressed up in the lines 39 and 40, so that a liquid lock is created between the evaporator on the one hand and the cooker 13, your balance vessel 21 and the absorption solution stored on the plates 38 on the other. On the other hand, another path is opened for the evaporator gas, namely through line 42 to the different absorption solution from the solution located on the plates 38, namely to the solution contained in the storage vessel 11.
In order to prevent rapid pressure drops in the system of the vessel 36, the line 16 and the digester from being expelled from the liquid lock 39, 40 and flowing back to the digester, the vessel 36 is provided with insert plates 38 that prevent the Prevent liquid after the digester, and furthermore the lei- tuno 40 is closed to the vessels 36 and 41 in such a way that
that if the liquid seal is torn open through line 39, the expelled liquid can flow back through line 40 and re-establish the F: ü.ssigl> cits closure.
The vessel 41. the content of which is a permanently maintained liquid lock between the gas space of the Ausgleiülxgefäßes 21 and the liquefier and evaporator represents. can get its content either by condensation of vapors coming from the cooker or it is, as shown in the figure, arranged at a height that corresponds approximately to level line I, so that it is charged with solution when the apparatus is filled becomes.
As he can see, the vessel 41 is through line 18 with the evaporator, through lines 39, respectively. 40 and line 16 with the cooker and through line 42, which also serves as a drainage line for the vessel 41, as well as possibly for the automatic evaporator drainage (line 46, vessel 47 and line 48), connected to the storage vessel.
At the end of the boiling period, the evaporator gases that pass through line 18 not only push the solution contained in the vessel 41 up into lines 39 and 40, but they also push the solution in line 42 into the storage vessel 11, so that the line 42 is filled with liquid in the boiling period, but is filled with gas in the absorption period. The amount of liquid in the line 42 pressed into the storage vessel leads to a slight increase in the level in the vessel 21 and in the digester, the level of which tends to rise due to the lowering of the pressure in the vessel 36 and in the line 16.
In other words: The actual absorption point 11a has two connection paths to the evaporator, one of which (11d, 42, 41, 18) leads evaporator gas to the absorption point during the cooling period, while the other path (49, 21, 16, 36, 39, 41, 18) each contains a column of liquid in the lines 39, 40, which columns independently maintain the pressure difference between the absorption point and the evaporator.
Because of the open gas connection between the vessel 21 and the cooker, the last-mentioned connection path can also be understood as a connection path between the evaporator and the cooker.
The pressure in the line 18 and in the condenser 14 can also temporarily be reduced for a short period if the vapors contained therein condense. However, the pressure here can never fall below the condensation pressure of the cold by means of the temperature prevailing in the upper part of the evaporator 15.
If the pressure in the vessel 36 and in the line 16 has fallen far enough, then the evaporation occurs in the evaporator, namely the .due resulting vapors will tear open the liquid lock of the U-tube formed from the lines 42 and 11d and into enter the line 11d so that this U-tube now acts as a gas bubble pump and creates a strong circulation in the circulation system of the absorption period, in which other amounts of liquid circulate than in the boiling period,
since the contents of the digester do not participate in the circulation of the solution during the absorption period. Here, part of the conveying vapors is already absorbed in the leg 11d of the U-tube. From this absorption, as well as the further absorption of the evaporator gases in the absorption solution contained in the absorber element 11ca, which is thermally separated from the absorption solution located on the plates 38, causes a further pressure reduction in the apparatus beyond the pressure reduction initiated by the plates 38.
The in .den lines 39 and 40 because of the pressure drop in Ge vessel 36 and in line 16 pressure column IH 'between evaporator and digester assumes a value that is greater than the pressure difference between the evaporator and the absorption point and greater than that Pressure column III,
which shows the pressure difference between the liquid spout 1 in the vessel 21, which is kept above the condensation temperature of the cooking vapors during the boiling period, and the opening of the line 42 in the line 11d. In other words: the pressure in the evaporator is greater than the pressure above the level of the equalization tank 21 during the absorption periods.
The difference between the heights of the pressure columns III 'and III represents the pressure with which the evaporator gases enter the storage vessel and / or. the absorber element 11a are pressed and the circulation of the absorption solution act:
It can be seen from the above that the internal 7, state changes occurring in it due to the supply of heat to the apparatus and the dissipation of heat from the apparatus cause a displacement and change of liquid columns (in 42, 21, 39, 40) which have different positions during the boiling and absorption periods and dictate different paths for the gas circulating in the two periods of the absorption solution of the storage vessel.
As far as the size of the individual apparatus parts is concerned, it should be mentioned that the vaporizer 15 can hold 1 kg of ammonia, for example. The size of the storage vessel 11 would accordingly have to be designed in such a way that it appropriately contains at least 3 kg of poor solution. The vessel 21 is to be designed in such a way that it can absorb the level difference of 1 kg of ammonia and the evaporator drains water automatically before the vessel 21 is emptied. The digester is expediently designed so that it contains about 1 /, o of the volume of the storage vessel.
But the digester volume can be even smaller; it can be, for example, only 1 @ _0 and even less of the storage vessel volume. The greater the difference is made between the volume of the cooker and the storage vessel, the faster the expulsion and absorption periods can alternate, since both cooking begins immediately when the heating is switched on and absorption begins immediately after the heating is switched off ,
because large amounts of poor solution at absorption temperature are available ready for absorption when the heating is switched off. The periods can therefore be several times a day, for example every half. Change the hour, i.e. be of approximately the same length, or a short cooking period of 15 minutes, for example, can be followed by an absorption period lasting several hours in which all the refrigerant that has been expelled is evaporated. Any such change in the length of the cooking periods enables simple regulation of the refrigeration output.
The arrangement is expediently such that the liquid level in the liquid vessel is greater than the liquid level in the cooker.
