Les fig. 1 et 2 montrent une première forme, respectivement en élévation et en plan; Les fig. 3, 4 et 5 sont respectivement des coupes suivant III--III de la fig. 2, IV-n7 de la fig. 3 et V-V de la fig. 4;
Siphoid box. We already know boxes: siphoids designed to receive water flowing on the ground through a grid which covers their upper edge and in which this grid carries, fixed by a central bolt, a bell whose edges plunge into a space outside a central compartment of the box, which communicates with the drain duct through this central compartment. These boxes present. the disadvantage that they become obstructed by the solids and that said bell is detached from the grid as a result of rust -de its fixing members and ends up getting lost.
so that the gases from the. drain pipes can spread without encountering obstacles in rooms which must be protected from them by a siphoid box.
The present invention relates to a siphoid box intended to receive the water flowing on the ground, communicating with a flow pipe by a central compartment, the walls of which project upwardly inside it and comprising a Or gane whose walls surround at least the top of said compartment by immersing .dans water occupying the space between this central compartment and the outer wall of the box.
This box is characterized in that said member with plunging walls is removable. has a tray with a hollow face facing upwards and with a diameter greater than that of the opening through which water flowing over the ground enters the box and further has a dump container s 'opening at the bottom of said hollow tray and penetrating inside -du central compartment.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the invention and a variant.
Figs. 1 and 2 show a first form, respectively in elevation and in plan; Figs. 3, 4 and 5 are respectively sections along III - III of FIG. 2, IV-n7 of fig. 3 and V-V of fig. 4;
Fig. 6 shows the second embodiment by a section similar to # 11e of FIG. 3, and fig. 7 also shows the third embodiment in the same way; Fig. 8 is a sectional view of a box showing a variant in the direction of the flow line, which variant is applicable to the first two embodiments.
The box of fi-. 1 to 5 has an outer shell 1 which may be polygonal. but is shown as cylindrical in the drawing figures. This envelope com takes part 1a (Fig. 1 to 7), forming a short vertical conduit for connecting the box to a flow conduit. This duct communicates with a central compartment determined by a vertical wall lb which rises to part of the height of the box and supports a removable member 2 visible in FIGS. 2 to 5.
This member has a plate, a hollow face of which is turned upwards and whose diameter is greater than that of the opening of a grid 3 through which the water flowing on the ground enters the box. This member also has a repository-dump 2b opening at the bottom of said hollow plate and penetrating inside the central compartment.
On the other hand, it is solid with a wall 2a which immerses in the water contained in the space outside the wall lb .. In addition, ducts 4 are formed by walls 2c and communicate, with a on the one hand, with the top, of the container 2b and, on the other hand, with the space 5 outside the walls 2a. 2d con soles -determine the centering of the body The operation is as follows: When -water is spread over the ground on which the box is installed, this water falls on the hollow plate larger than the opening of the grid and flows into the receptacle 2b, entraining the solids 9 at the bottom of this receptacle.
The water settled in this receptacle leaves through the conduits 4 to enter the space 5 outside the wall 2a and into the space 6 between the walls 1b and 2a. If the water arrives in sufficient quantity, it passes from space 6 into space 7 of the interior compartment, passing over the pa king lb and between the conduits 4, then flows into the conduit 8 When the container 9 is full of solid debris, the grid 3 and the body 2 are removed, which simply need to be emptied and replaced.
The water flow paths are thus never blocked.
In the embodiment of FIG. 6. the removable member 10 is suspended by a flange 10a interposed between the grid and the scope of the. box. In this case, the channels 4 are replaced by holes 4a made in a cylindrical wall, surrounding the hollow plate.
In the form of fig. 7, the body 10 has feet 11 by which it is supported and centered inside the central compartment. The cylindrical edge presenting the holes 4a of the previous figure is not essential and could be cut at 12.
The channels 4 or the perforations 4a. present the advantage of constituting a second grid preventing elongated objects which might have passed between the bars 3a from entering the space 5.
In the variant of FIG. 8, the box is suitable for special installation conditions; in which it is advantageous that the outlet orifice is directed horizontally as indicated in 1 e or obliquely as indicated in dotted lines in If.
In the variant of FIG. 8, the box also day in the space 8a which is located below the upper tube of a siphon formed by the pipe. It will be appreciated that other ways could be provided to support the removable member without falling outside the scope of the present invention. This removable organ could also be made of two parts, the container resting, for example, on a bearing surface of the tray as the latter rests on the outer wall.
Finally, the removable member could be rested in the bottom of the peripheral compartment that -de the box by feet that the wall 2a presents.
