Additional patent to main patent No. 169695. Process for the production of an Ehromlialtigen azo dye% s. It has been found that a chromium-containing azo dye can be obtained by using a mixture
consisting of the complex chromium compound of the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxynaphthalene - 4 - sulfonic acid and 2 - oxynaphthalene on the one hand and the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 1- Oxynaphthalene,
and the azo dye made from nitrated 1-diazo-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulforic acid and 1-oxynaphthalene on the other hand, treated with hot dilute acids.
The chromium-containing dye is a violet-black powder that dissolves in water with a blackish-blue color and in 10% soda solution with a blue-violet color. It dyes wool from organic acid - sulfuric acid bath in navy blue shades of good authenticity.
Example .T 27.5 parts of the chromium-containing dye obtained by cooking for several hours with ohromformate from the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulphonic acid and 2-oxynaphthalene become together with 8.32 parts of the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxyi) aphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 1-oxynaphthalene, and with 4,
61 parts of the azo dye from nitrated 1-diazo-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 1-oxynaphthalene suspended in 400 parts of water. Two parts of 85% acetic acid are then added and the mixture is refluxed for a long time while stirring. It is allowed to cool, the new chromium-containing dye formed is dissolved by adding sodium hydroxide solution, filtered, the filtrate is acidified with acetic acid and evaporated to dryness in vacuo.
Example, 2: - 30 parts of the chromium-containing dye produced in a caustic alkaline medium from the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 2-oxynaphthalene are dissolved in 450 parts of water, containing 5 parts of 85% acetic acid, suspended.
8.32 parts of the azo dye from diazotized 1-amino-2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 1-oxynaphthalene and 4.61 parts of the azo dye from nitrated 1-diazo-2-oxynaphthalene are then carried. 4-sulphonic acid and 1-oxynaphthalene and boil for a long time with stirring on the reflux condenser. After cooling down, add caustic soda,
until the new chromium-containing dye has dissolved, filtered, acidified slightly by adding acetic acid and evaporated to dryness in a vacuum.
The same chromium-containing azo dye is obtained if, instead of acetic acid, another acid, such as benzenesulphonic acid, tartaric acid, sulfuric acid, formic acid, propionic acid, naphthalenedisulphonic acid or lactic acid, is used.
