On pare à cet inconvénient en utilisant :an support mobile67.
Machine for the manufacture, coating and reinforcement of pipes, such as concrete pipes, metal pipes, etc. The object of the present invention is a machine for the manufacture, coating and reinforcement of pipes, such as concrete pipes, metal pipes, etc., said machine comprising, fitted on two plates, two sections of trees. each provided with a plate between which the pipe is placed, one of said sections being capable of being actuated by a motor,
means being provided further allowing to actuate two screws placed parallel to the axis of the pipe, each dan; a slide, one of said screws actuated read a carriage allowing, in combination with a tensioning device, to wind the reinforcement of the pipe, the other screw driving a dispensing device capable, on the one hand, of applying to the pipe the plastic material and, on the other hand, to regularize the latter on the pipe:
means being in or being provided making it possible to avoid deformation of the pipe under the action of the. belt pressure of the aforementioned dispensing device. The attached drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the pipe and of its attachment and drive means, as well as of the plastics application device; Fig. \? is a plan view of part of the pipe, the application device, and the movable support; Fig. 3 is a plan view of the armature wire tensioning apparatus; Fig. 4 is an elevational view of the tensioner apparatus;
The fit, o ,. 5 is an elevational view of the plastics application device; Fig. 6 is an elevational view of the mobile support; Fig. 7 is a view of a pulley of the tensioner apparatus, the axis of which is capable of moving;
Fig. 8 is a sectional view of the guide members of the belt conveying the plastic material; Fig. 9 is a detail view of a roller forming part of the movable support; Fig. 10 is a cross section of a pipe to which the endless compression rope is applied; Fig. 11 is a side view of part of a pipe with the group of compression coils.
The machine shown comprises a motor 1 coupled to a system of gears placed in a box 2; this gear system makes it possible to transmit the movement of the motor 1 according to the ratio and in the desired direction, to the shaft 3 and to the toothed pinions 4 and 5. The shaft 3 supported by a plate 6 transmits the movement. to a plate 7 provided with a .dispositif -de automatic centering, to which is fixed one of the ends of the cylindrical mold on which the pipe is to be formed, or one of the ends of the pipe which is to be reinforced or covered, etc. .
On the. right part of the machine - in fig. 1, there is shown a formed pipe to which is fixed a spiral frame 9. On the left part of said figure, we see the application, to a pipe or to a mold, of a plastic layer.
The other end of the pipe 8 is also fixed in a self-centering device 10 supported by a plate 11; the device 10 can. be moved within a certain limit with respect to the. plate 11 by means of the screw 12 comprising a handwheel 13. The plate 11 is placed on rails 14 at a suitable distance from the plate 6, then fixed to said rails; these may be the length of the machine or smaller.
Parallel to the axis of the machine are arranged on one side the slide 15 and on the other side the slide 16. In the middle of the slide 15 is fixed a worm 18 to which is adjusted the pinion 19 can be actuated by pinion 4 by means of chain 20.
Likewise, in the slide 16 is placed an endless screw 21 comprising a pinion 22 connected to the pinion 5 by the chain 23. Each of the endless screws 18 and 21 is controlled independently at its own direction of rotation and speed.
The endless screw 21 passes through a nut placed inside the carriage 24. The latter comprises locking members, not shown in the drawing, controlled by a lever 25; it also comprises a grooved wheel 26 over which passes, to change direction, the wire 27 -destined for. form the frame. In order to prevent said wire 27 from forming too acute an angle, the. single wheel 26 can be replaced by a system of wheels gradually guiding said wire.
The carriage 24 must naturally press on each side by means of anti-friction rollers, against the internal walls of the slide 16, in order to prevent the wire 27 from moving said carriage by deforming the screw 21, because of its tension.
On the slide 15 is fitted the plastic dispensing device; this device is -moved by the screw 18 working -in a nut fixed to, - the base 28 of said device. This is adapted to a platform 29 for having, around a pivot not visible in the drawing, angular movements with respect to said base.
On the platform 29 is placed a hopper 30- into which the plastic material is poured; the. exit of the material which can be regulated by a hatch 31 which can be actuated at will. The plastic material, leaving the hopper 30, falls onto a belt of canvas or other fabric 32 unwinding from a reel 33 controlled by a brake, the action of which is regulated by means of a weight 34 moving along. -bran 35.
The other end of belt 32 is attached to the pipe or mold. on which the plastics material is to be applied, or, better still, to the support of the pipe or mold, which is rotated together with the screw 18. The rotation of the pipe causes the unwinding. ment of the. belt 32. This passes below the opening of the hopper 30 and is loaded with plastic material which is carried on the mold or on the pipe. The belt 32 passes between two guide pieces 36 and 37.
The guide piece 37 has a projection 38 covering part of the. belt 32, so that the plastic material can only be deposited on the part of the belt between the. guide piece 36 and the inner part of the projection 38. The portion of the belt 32, not recou green by the plastic material comes around the pipe in work and is placed on the edge of the preceding turn.
The commissure of two plastic spirals is regularized by means of a. rGu- lea.u 39 pressing against the pipe. The pressure of the latter can be varied by means of a counterweight 40, adjustable on the arm 42 pivoted at 41 and carrying the roller 39.
When the belt has reached the end of the pipe and when a new layer of mor tier needs to be applied, the device is reversed to recover the belt: 32. If only one coat is applied,
the belt is left in place until the mortar has set the unit. intended for fig. give 3- and a .4, determined and constant tension to the armature wire 27.
Said apparatus comprises a spool 44 from which the metal wire passes -in an assembly 45 or it is straightened before passing over the pulleys 46, 47, 50, 52 and 66. The pulleys 47 and 50 are provided with band brakes. controlled respectively by the arms 48 and 51 on which the weights 49 and 52 'can be moved.
The axis of rotation 53 of the pulley 52 is supported by a bracket 54 suspended from a cable 55 which passes over the pulleys 60 and 61; at. the end of said cable is fixed a weight 62 in relation to the tension to be given to the wire 27.
The ends of the axis 53 can move in the slots 56 and 57 of the vertical uprights 58. and 59.
To the. the upper part of the yoke 54 is fixed a second cable 63 which passes over the pulleys 64 and 65, then is fixed to one of the ends of the arm 51. The pulley 65 is fitted to the frame in a manner not shown. allowing it to move vertically. The frame includes a number of studs and beams which are not shown in detail on the drawings.
From the return pulley 66, the wire 2,7 passes over the carriage 24 and then to the pipe.
The weights 52 'and 49, as well as the assembly 45, are established so that the pulley 52 is in equilibrium, on the one hand, under the action of the weight 62, on the other hand, under the action of thread tension 27.
To wind a wire such as 27 on a pipe, the latter is fixed, for example, to said pipe, which is then slowly rotated, the brake 45 being locked and the weight 62 on the ground. As a result of the rotation of the pipe, the weight 62 is lifted; the assembly 45 is then adjusted little by little. Finally, when the adjustment is complete and the weight 62 lifted, the pipe is given a suitable rotational speed.
In addition, the worm. 21 must rotate with a speed in relation to the pitch of the helix that we want to describe to the wire 27.
In normal operation, the pulley 52 and all the other members of the apparatus ensuring the tension .du wire remain stationary. If we now assume that the. tension -of the wire increases for an accidental cause, said wire will then exert a greater pressure on the pulley 52 which will move downwards by dragging one end of the cable 63 of which the other end will actuate the rod 51 of the brake of the pulley 50. The @dwdit brake action will then be reduced to. suppression of the accidental causes which had produced the increase in tension.
On the other hand, when an accidental decrease in said tension occurs, pulley 522 will drive. upwards the left extremity of the arm 51, which, by increasing the braking action on the pulley 50, restores the original conditions. When the reinforcement of the pipe is finished, some of the spirals are welded: between them and the wire, cut.
The machine forming the subject of the invention also makes it possible to apply a coating to the metal pipes. However, these -derniers are generally long and relatively flexible, and if one employed the device shown in FIG. 1, there is a risk of deforming them particularly when the belt 32 is working away from the ends of the pipe.
This drawback is overcome by using: a mobile support 67. The support 67 is provided with a carriage, placed on the slides 15 and 16 connected to the two worm screws 18 and 21 by means of clutches controlled by levers 68 and 69. When the clutches are in the working position, the rotation of screws 18 and 21 causes the longitudinal translation of the carriage. Naturally, in this case, said screws 18 and 21 must turn at the same speed and in the same direction. The support 67 is provided with an angled part 70 fixed by means of bolts 71; said part can be moved closer to or away from the axis of the machine, in relation to the diameter of the pipe in work.
To the part 70 is fixed, by means of bolts 73, a trestle 72 'which can be placed at the desired height and the vertical part of which is placed @the same side of the pipe as the distributor device.
The vertical and horizontal rollers 75 and 76 are adjusted to the trestle 72 by means of ball bearings 74, -disposed at the two ends of each roller, as shown in the. fig. 9. It is obvious that each of the horizontal and vertical rollers on which the pipe 77 rests could be replaced by a series of rollers.
To cover with a protective layer a metal pipe 77 (Fig. 2), the latter is fixed to the plate 6 and it is supported on the movable support 67, which is placed as close as possible to the device, distributor, itself. even placed near said plate 6.
Then, when the machine is in operation, the dispensing device is actuated by screw 18, which, together with screw 21, also actuate support 67; it follows that -this -and the aforementioned @dispo; sitive: move seemingly-staying close to each other. Consequently, the belt 32 will not risk deforming the pipe 77.
In general, the armored pipe is then covered with a protective layer; in this case, the reinforcement will be started to roll and, as soon as the carriage 24 is a little away from the starting end, the device for applying the plastic material is also put into action.
As with the dispensing device, only a layer of limited thickness can be applied, a single operation will only suffice for metal pipes, for example.
In cases where the thickness of the plastic must be important, several layers are applied.
The protective layer of metal pipes or the like can be reinforced, for example by means of a metal net cut into a strip. A strip of the same width as the fabric belt 32 is then used, the net then being superimposed on the fabric strip. During work, the plastic material falling from the hopper 30 extends over the net and penetrates: in the voids of the meshes of the latter up to the canvas 32. During the operation, due to the tension of the net. . belt 32 and also by virtue of the compression exerted by the roller 39, the plastic material passes through the meshes of the net which, ultimately, is quite embedded in the plastic material, as is desirable .
After forming a plastic pipe and before laying the reinforcement under tension, the longitudinal reinforcements can be placed on the pipe, which can be formed by bars connected together so that there is no other thing to do is to apply them and fix them on the pipe.
It must be understood that the machine shown is in no way limiting, and that various modifications could be made to it within the scope of claim.
