Process for the preparation of an anthraquinone dye. It has been found that new anthrachinone derivatives can be obtained in this way; that 1-amino-4-halogenanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acids, which are still substituted in the 5- or 8-position by acylamino groups, are reacted in a manner known per se with those amino compounds that have at least one replaceable hydrogen atom on the stick . Suitable amino compounds for carrying out the reaction are, for. B.
Am moniak, primary or secondary aliphatic amines, aliphatic-hydroaromatic amines, aromatic amines which can be substituted as desired in the phenyl radical, aromatic diamines, mono- and diamines of the diphenyl series, in which one or both phenyl nuclei are partly or completely may be hydrogenated, sulfamino compounds, etc.
The acylamirro-amino-haloger) anthraquinori-sulfonic acids used as starting materials can, for. B. by acylating 1.3- respectively. 1,8-diaminoanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acids and halogenation of the acylamino-aminoanthraquinone-sulfonic acids obtained in this way. The new dyes are easily soluble in water and dye wool from an acid bath in blue to green shades.
When using such amines, which led to dyes during the condensation with the 1-amino-4-halogenanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acids, which have the property of staining the vegetable fiber, this is also the case here.
The shade of the new dyes is in all cases considerably greener than that of the analogous dyes made from 1-amino-4-halantbrachinone-2-sulfonic acids.
What is surprising here is that the weighting of the molecule with acylamino groups maintains the good leveling power of the dyes from the corresponding 1-amino-4-haloanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acids which are not substituted by acylamino groups.
The present patent relates to a process for the production of an anthraquinone dye by reacting 1-amino-5-acetylamino-4-bi-onianthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid with hexahydroaniline. The dye is beautiful, blue crystals that dissolve in water with a vivid blue color and dye wool from an acid bath in clear, blue shades of very good lightfastness.
Example: 9 parts by weight of 1-amino-5-acetylamino-4-bromoanthraquinone - 2 - sulfonic acid sodium, 30 parts by weight of hegahydroaniline, 5 parts by weight of sodium carbonate and 0.5 part by weight of copper sulfate are in 300 Parts by weight of water and 200 parts by weight of ethyl alcohol entered and heated to boiling for two hours with stirring.
The excess of hexahydroaniline and the alcohol used as solvent are then distilled off and the dye is then deposited by adding sodium chloride.
It is obtained in beautiful, blue crystals which dissolve in water with a vivid blue color and dye wool from an acid bath in clear, blue shades of very good lightfastness.
