Description

Process for the production of a mixture of sodium salts of Glyh-olsä, urefettalkylosterthlosulfa.te. The main patent 165820 relates to a process for the production of a higher molecular thiosulphate ester, according to which a Halogeriessig # "ätii-e-dodecylestei, is reacted with sodium thiosulphate. A glycol sätiredodecylestei- -thios (ilfat.

It has now been found that instead of a haloacetic acid dodecyl ester, an ester mixture of halo acetic acid and a mixture of higher fatty alcohols, which can be obtained by reducing naturally occurring fats, is the same reaction can undergo, and that one arrives at bodies with soap-like properties, which can be used as such or together with other soaps, soap-like substances, fillers, active oxygen-releasing compounds and the like.

Example: 120 parts by weight of an ester mixture of chloroacetic acid and a mixture of higher fatty alcohols, such as that obtained by reducing coconut fatty acids, are dissolved in 450 parts by weight of alcohol and this solution is 95 </ B> parts by weight of sodium thiosulphate boiled under reflux for a long time.

After filtering off, the alcoholic solution g separates the reaction product on cooling. This is a white crystalline mass that easily dissolves in water to form a well foaming and wetting liquid. The product can therefore be used as a soap substitute.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of a mixture of the sodium salts of Glyl #: olsäui-efettalkyl- ester thiosulfate, characterized in that an ester mixture of haloacetic acid and a mixture of higher fatty alcohols, which can be obtained by reducing naturally occurring fats, is used , reacts with sodium thiosulphate. The resulting mixture of the sodium salts of the glycolic acid fatty alkyl ester thiostilfate is a white crystalline mass that dissolves easily in water. The aqueous solutions show good wetting and foaming properties. The products can therefore be used as soap substitutes. TINTER CLAIM: Process according to claim, characterized in that a solution of the ester mixture with the thiosulfate is heated under reflux for a long time.
