Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.2

Die weitere Verarbeitung erfolgt nach Beispiel l.

  Liquid, non-gelatinizing soap.

For the production of liquid soap, such as. B. is used to fill soap dispensers, a potash soap was previously used, which was mixed with appropriate amounts of glycerine, alcohol, sugar and potash solution to prevent gelatinization. These additives add significantly to the cost of the liquid soap and are not useful for all uses of these soaps; so z. B. People with sensitive skin cannot tolerate soaps containing potash.

In accordance with the present invention, gelatinization prevention is achieved by adding ammonium thiosulfate to the soap. This ammonium thiosulfate can be added either dry or in solution; however, mixtures of alkali thiosulfates and ammonium carbonates can also be added to the soap.

The liquid soaps produced by this process with the commercially available percentages of fatty acid are clear in appearance and have excellent foaming power without any further addition of glycerine, alcohol, sugar and potash; they are shelf-stable and do not thicken over time. They do not stick and have the advantage of being cheap over the hitherto customary ones.

For special purposes, the soap made with the addition of ammonium thiosulphate can of course also be mixed with other substances that are indifferent to ammonium thiosulphate, B. disinfectants and the like.

   Examples.
 EMI1.1
Shortly after the saponification, a warm solution of 250 kg of ammonium thiosulfate in 1,750 l of water is added to the soap with stirring. It is then allowed to cool and any impurities are filtered off.

   2. A batch as in Example 1 or a similar one is mixed with after the saponification
 EMI1.2

The further processing takes place according to example 1.
