Dispositif automatique de réglage du tirage dans une cheminée. L'objet de-la présente invention est un dispositif automatique de réglage du tirage dans une cheminée. Ce dispositif est carac térisé par un levier oscillant dont une extré mité est munie d'une palette sur laquelle agit le courant gazeux, et dont l'autre extré mité est reliée à un organe obturateur ré glant l'ouverture d'un passage par lequel l'air frais supplémentaire peut pénétrer dans la cheminée.

d est une chaudière de chauffage central reliée à une cheminée B dans laquelle on a prévu une chambre C. Dans celle-ci est placé un levier 1 présentant à son extrémité de droite une palette 2, en forme de cuiller, dont la concavité est tournée vers le bas et disposée dans la colonne gazeuse qui monte dans la cheminée. A son autre extrémité, ce levier présente une tringle extensible 3, de longueur r6glable, formée de deux parties pouvant coulisser l'une sur l'autre et pouvant être rendues solidaires l'une de l'autre par des vis 4. L'autre extrémité de cette tringle est articulée à une plaque obturatrice 5 montée à charnière en 6, sur le fond de la chambre C; des ressorts 7 compensent le poids de cette plaque.
Le levier 1 présente, dans sa partie médiane, une équerre 8 reposant à cheval sur l'arête' 9 d'un support fixe 10.
Lorsque le tirage dans la cheminée de vient trop violent, l'action des gaz chauds sur la palette fait basculer le levier 1 en sens contraire du sens du mouvement des aiguilles d'une montre; la plaque obturatrice 5 s'ouvre davantage et l'air frais arrive dans la cheminée pour diminuer le tirage dans le foyer de la chaudière. Un poids curseur 11 placé sur le levier permet d'équilibrer le dispositif.
En outre, la plaque 5 est reliée au pla fond de la chambre C par une pièce exten- sible, représentée à grande échelle dans la fig. 3. Cette pièce comprend un cylindre 12 accroché au plafond et un piston 13, accro ché à la plaque 5 au moyen d'une tige 19; ce piston peut se déplacer entre deux faux- fonds 14 et 15 coulissant dans le cylindre; ces faux-fonds portent- des goupilles de gui dage 16 qui sont engagées dans des fentes rectilignes 17 du cylindre. Chacun de ces faux-fonds est soumis à l'action d'un ressort à boudin 18 prenant appui sur le cylindre et tendant à maintenir le faux-fond dans sa position intérieure extrême.
Cette pièce exten sible limite les positions extrêmes de la plaque obturatrice; en effet, lorsque le tirage est faible, le levier 1- tire la plaque obtura trice vers le haut jusqu'au moment où le piston 13 vient appuyer contre le faux-fond 15; à partir de ce moment, le ressort 18 correspondant, en se comprimant, empêche la plaque de se fermer davantage; cette plaque se trouve alors dans la position mon trée aux fig. 1 et 2 et laisse passer une pe tite quantité d'air en vue d'empêcher la for mation d'un vide dans la chambre C.
Au contraire, si le tirage est très violent, la plaque obturatrice 5 s'ouvre jusqu'à ce que le piston 13 vienne appuyer contre le faux- fond 14; à partir de ce moment, le ressort 18 correspondant, en se comprimant, empêche que la plaque s'ouvre davantage.

d is a central heating boiler connected to a chimney B in which there is provided a chamber C. In this is placed a lever 1 having at its right end a pallet 2, in the shape of a spoon, the concavity of which is turned down and placed in the gas column which rises in the chimney. At its other end, this lever has an extendable rod 3, of adjustable length, formed of two parts which can slide one on the other and which can be made integral with one another by screws 4. The other end of this rod is hinged to a shutter plate 5 hinged at 6, on the bottom of chamber C; springs 7 compensate for the weight of this plate.
The lever 1 has, in its middle part, a bracket 8 resting astride the edge '9 of a fixed support 10.
When the draft in the chimney becomes too violent, the action of the hot gases on the pallet causes the lever 1 to switch in the opposite direction of clockwise movement; the shutter plate 5 opens more and the fresh air arrives in the chimney to reduce the draft in the furnace hearth. A slider weight 11 placed on the lever makes it possible to balance the device.
In addition, the plate 5 is connected to the bottom of the chamber C by an extendable part, shown on a large scale in FIG. 3. This part comprises a cylinder 12 attached to the ceiling and a piston 13, attached to the plate 5 by means of a rod 19; this piston can move between two false bottoms 14 and 15 sliding in the cylinder; these false bottoms carry guide pins 16 which are engaged in rectilinear slots 17 of the cylinder. Each of these false bottoms is subjected to the action of a coil spring 18 bearing on the cylinder and tending to maintain the false bottom in its extreme internal position.
This extensible part limits the extreme positions of the obturator plate; in fact, when the draft is weak, the lever 1- pulls the shutter plate upwards until the piston 13 comes to press against the false bottom 15; from this moment, the corresponding spring 18, by compressing, prevents the plate from closing further; this plate is then in the position shown in figs. 1 and 2 and allows a small amount of air to pass in order to prevent a vacuum from forming in chamber C.
On the contrary, if the draft is very violent, the shutter plate 5 opens until the piston 13 comes to press against the false bottom 14; from this moment, the corresponding spring 18, by compressing, prevents the plate from opening further.
