Les autres figures,à une échelle plus grande, sont des détails de l'étai représenté: La fig. 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne III-III de fig. 2; La fig. 4 représente la tête de la colonne centrale avec sa glissière de guidage; La fig. 5 est une coupe horizontale sui vant la ligne V-V de fig. 2; La fig. 6 représente une vue de la pince de serrage;
Adjustable height to, prop for scaffolding. The object of the present invention is a adjustable height prop for scaffolding, making it possible to establish transient installations, in particular formwork for reinforced concrete constructions.
The appended drawing, given to by way of example, represents an embodiment of a prop according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view in collapsed state for transport; Fig. 2 is a side view in service.
The other figures, to on a larger scale, are details of the forestay shown: Fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III of fig. 2; Fig. 4 shows the head of the central column with its guide slide; Fig. 5 is a horizontal section following the line V-V of fig. 2; Fig. 6 shows a view of the collet;
Fig. 7 is a horizontal section following the plane VII-VII of fig. 2, and FIG. 8 is a sectional elevation of FIG. 6.
The forestay shown comprises a frame formed by two uprights 1 and 2, in iron U, linked together by braces 3 riveted to the wings of said irons. In the space formed by, the uprights are housed titi steel tube 4 of length smaller than the frame; the head 5 is flattened and riveted between two horizontal blades 6 spaced in X to slide between the uprights and form a guide, facilitating the maneuver of the tube in the inside the frame.
The upper part of the frame is for view of an iron plate 7 , fixed to the uprights 1 and 2 and the lower part of the tube 4 is provided with a sole 8 to flange fitted in the tube. The lower part of the frame is provided with a clamp formed by two clamps with jaws 9 and 10 which enclose the tube 4 and which oscillate one on the other on a pivot while their ends are articulated in 11 to the wings of the uprights 1 and 2. The flanges to </ B> the jaws being articulated to the uprights 1, respectively 2, the fact of lifting the latter is enough to release the tube 4 clamped by the clamp and lower the the tube while we mount the frame.
As soon as the latter is released, the to jaw clamps oscillate under the effect of the weight of the frame and their friction against the tube and, of this </ B> done, tighten around the tube 4, thus immobilizing the stay at the desired height between the ceiling 13 and the floor 14, as shown in fig. 2. To immobilize the frame in this position and so that the forestay can support the load, a clamping bolt 15 (fig. 6 and 7) , condé in its central part to avoid tube 4, tighten the lower ends of the two uprights 1 and 2 by means of a nut with handle 16, so that, by seizing the clamp on the tube, the frame is secured to the tube and the forestay is thus made rigid.
By releasing the nut 16, it suffices to release the clamp by lifting the weight of the frame to slide the latter along the tube 4 and bring it back to the position of transport shown in fig. 1.
