Console for scaffolding. The present invention relates to. a scaffolding console intended for. be mounted on a scaffolding pole to support horizontal platforms extending along a construction, in particular a building facade.
This console comprises a main beam intended to support said horizontal plates and one end of which is intended to bear on the back of said pole, with respect to the construction, a support arm connected to the main beam and intended to be anchored in the pole also on the reverse thereof with respect to the construction and the support feet also connected to said main beam and of which.
the free ends are intended to come to rest against the construction in order to hold the console laterally with respect to the vertical plane passing through the main beam and the support arm, this support arm being connected to the main beam by a connecting bar rigid forming an angle of less than 90 with respect to the main beam, and an upright intended to support a running hand being articulated at the end of the main beam remote from the pole.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the con sole forming. the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a side elevational view of this console fixed to a scaffolding pole.
The fi-. 2 is a plan view. Fig. 3 is a section on a larger scale through line 3-3 of fig.1.
Fig. 4 is a view of a large-scale detail.
Fig. 5 is a partially sectional plan view of the detail of FIG. 4.
The console shown in Figs.1 and 2 is mounted on an inclined pole 1, the upper end of which rests against a facade 2 of a building for example.
The scaffolding is formed of several parallel poles 1, interconnected by means not shown to prevent them from moving laterally, and by horizontal trays 3 placed on the consoles fixed on the poles at the same height.
Each console comprises a rigid frame formed of a main beam 4, of double T profile (or other) intended to support the plates 3 and of which one end provided with spikes 4 'is intended to rest on the back of the pole 1 relative to facade 2; and a support arm 5 of T-profile (or other), welded at one end to the main beam 4 and at the other end to a rigid connecting bar 18 itself welded to the beam 4. This bar 18 forms with the beam 4 an angle of less than 90, that is to say an angle corresponding to the inclination of a pole of current height pressed against the facade 2.
The inclination of the pole being substantially the same regardless of the han: tor of the scaffolding, the main beam 4 of the console will always be practically horizontal. The end of the arm 5 connected to the bar 18 has a tip 8 intended to be driven into the pole. For this purpose, a tab 8 'integral with the arm 5 allows to receive the impact of a hammer.
The support feet 7 form a V whose top is welded to a part 19 intended to slide on the. main beam 4. As shown in detail in FIG. 3, the cross section of part 19 has an L-shape with a flange 20. Thanks to this shape, this part can be engaged laterally at any point on the beam 4. A locking screw with operating handle 12 East. screwed in a threaded hole 21 passing through the pendulum. vertical wall key to part 1.9.
The end 22 of the screw is intended to come to rest against the web of the beam 4 to thus block the, part 19 and, consequently, the feet 7 in the. desired position, that is to say with their free ends resting against the. facade 2 and now laterally the frame of the console with respect to its vertical plane.
The end 22 of the screw is crushed into the shape of a rivet head to prevent this screw from being accidentally separated from the part 19. A countersink 23 is formed at the end of the tapped hole 21 to receive the head 22 and release. thus the space inside the L to be able to separate the part 19 from the beam 4 in the. rotating around it and unhooking the flange 20.
A chain 13 is fixed to the pole 1 at the end of the main beam 4 adjacent to the pole 1 to hold this end against said pole. On the other end of the beam 4 is articulated an upright 15 of U profile intended to receive slats 16 serving as a handrail. The articulation of the upright 15 comprises the closed ring 24 passing through, on the one hand, the upright 15, and, on the other hand, the beam 4 as shown in detail in FIGS. 4 and 5. A support piece 25 having a U shaped channel is clear from the beam 4.
To place the amount. 15 in the position of use shown in line, full in FIG. 4, it is brought from its folded position on the beam 4, into an inclined position shown in phantom in order to then fold it vertically into the support piece 25, the shape of which it takes. Post 1: 5 is pressed against the bottom of the U shaped channel under the effect of the weight of the upright, and the resulting tension on the ring 24. The side walls of the channel prevent any lateral movement of the upright 15.
One could, in a variant, provide the support arm 5 and the bar ri, ide 18 each articulated to the main beam 4 to be able to be folded. In addition, the feet 7 could be integral with the frame of the console but telescopically adjustable.
The console described can be fixed towards the upper end of the inclined pole against the facade of a building, which in a scaffolding allows free access to the roof and thus avoid the fixing of the vertical poles to. using beams crossing said roof as is the case in the scaffold; -es known.
An advantage of the console described lies in the fact that it is of simple and robust construction which can be easily assembled and disassembled and does not include detachable parts which can get lost.
