Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein dunkel violette. Pulver. Auf geeigneten Substraten, wie zum Beispiel pflanzlichen Fasern, herge stellt, färbt er diese in echten violetten Tönen. <I>Beispiel:</I> 31,6 Teile 4-(1'-Methyl)-phenoxyacetyl- amino-2.5-dimethoxy-l-aininobenzol werden wie üblich dianotiert und in eine Lösung von 29,1 Teilen des m-Xylidids der 2.3-Oxy- naphthoesäure, 50 Teilen 30 /oiger Natron- lauge, 30 Teilen Soda und 2000 Teilen Wasser eingetragen. Der gebildete Farbstoff fällt sofort aus. Der dunkelviolette Nieder schlag wird filtriert und getrocknet.
