Description
Verfahren zur Darstellnnb eines leicht wasserlöslichen Farbstoffes der Anthrachinonreihe. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zii einem leicht wasserlöslichen Farbstoff der Anthra- chinonreihe gelangt, wenn man 1-amino-2- brom - 4 - p - toluidoanthrachinon -5- sulfosaures Natrium mit wässeriger Kaliumsulfitlösung unter Anwendung von Phenol erhitzt.
<I>Beispiel</I> '?0 Teile 1-amino-2-brom-4-p-toluidoan- thrachinoci-5-sulfosaures Natrium, 40 Teile Phenol und 40-Volumteile Kaliumsulfitlösung 47 o/oig (Vol.) werden im Autoklaven auf 125 o erhitzt, bis die Umsetzung des R-Brom- atoms vollständig ist.
Man entfernt das Phenol, durch Ausblasen mit Wasserdampf, und filtriert den Farbstoff ab.
Der Farbstoff besteht aus 1-Amino-4-p- toluidoanthrachinon-2,5-disulfosäure und bil det blaugraue, feine gristalle. In trockenem, gemahlenem Zustande stellt er ein dunkel blaues Pulver dar; dasselbe ist in kaltem Wasser leicht mit grünblauer Farbe löslich. In Schwefelsäure löst sich der Farbstoff mit blass grüngelber Farbe, die nach Zusatz von Borsäure blau wird. In Salzsäure löst er sich mit rotvioletter Farbe; in kaltem Benzol und Äthylacetat ist er unlöslich. Das Produkt färbt Wolle in grünblauen Tönen von vor züglichen Echtheiten und besonders von her vorragender Lichtechtheit.
Da der Farbstoff gut löslich ist, eignet er sich zum Drucken von Wolle und .Seide.
Process for the preparation of a readily water-soluble dye of the anthraquinone series. It has been found that a readily water-soluble dye of the anthraquinone series is obtained if 1-amino-2-bromo-4-p-toluidoanthraquinone-5-sulphonic acid sodium is heated with aqueous potassium sulphite solution using phenol.
<I> Example </I> '? 0 parts of 1-amino-2-bromo-4-p-toluidoanthrachinoci-5-sulphonic acid sodium, 40 parts of phenol and 40 parts by volume of 47% potassium sulphite solution heated in the autoclave to 125 o until the reaction of the R-bromine atom is complete.
The phenol is removed by blowing out with steam, and the dye is filtered off.
The dye consists of 1-amino-4-p-toluidoanthraquinone-2,5-disulfonic acid and forms blue-gray, fine crystals. In the dry, ground state it is a dark blue powder; it is easily soluble in cold water with a green-blue color. The dye dissolves in sulfuric acid with a pale green-yellow color that turns blue after adding boric acid. In hydrochloric acid it dissolves with a red-violet color; it is insoluble in cold benzene and ethyl acetate. The product dyes wool in green-blue tones with excellent fastness properties and especially excellent lightfastness.
Since the dye is easily soluble, it is suitable for printing wool and silk.
