Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines orangen Küpenfarbstoffes. Im Hauptpatent Nr. 124528 und seinen bis herigen Zusätzen ist die Herstellung von echten orangen Küpenfarbstoffen durchHalogenierung von Anthanthron unter bestimmten Bedin gungen beschrieben.
Es wurde gefunden, dass sich Anthanthron auch in wässeriger Suspension in Gegenwart oder Abwesenheit von Natalysatoren, wie zum Beispiel Jod, Eisenchlorid usw. halogenieren lässt.
Bei der an sich schweren Substituierbar keit des Anthantlirons ist die glatte Durch führbarkeit des vorliegenden Verfahrens über raschend.
Die dabei entstehenden Farbstoffe ent sprechen in ihren färberischen und chemischen Eigenschaften denen des Hauptpatentes.
Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich nun auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines orangen Küpenfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Antlianthron in wässeriger Suspen sion bromiert. Das so erhaltene bromierte Anthanthron ist identisch mit dein Farbstoff des Schwei zer Patentes Nr. 130618.
<I>Beispiel 1:</I> 150 Teile einer 10 o/oigen wässerigen Paste von Anthanthron werden mit 80 Teilen Brom versetzt. Man erwärmt langsam auf etwa 60-65 und hält bei dieser Temperatur einige Zeit, Man verdünnt mit Wasser, entfernt das überschüssige Brom zum Beispiel durch Behan deln mit Bisulfit, saugt den Rückstand ab, wäscht und trocknet.
Durch Überführung in das schwer lösliche Sulfat durch Behandeln mit Schwefelsäure von mässigem Wassergehalt nach dem Ver fahren des Schweizer Patentes Nr. 140102 oder durch Umkristallisieren aus hochsieden den Lösungsmitteln, wie aus Nitrobenzol, wird der Farbstoff in reiner Form erhalten. Vorteilhaft setzt man bei der Reaktion einen Katalysator, zum Beispiel 0,2 Teile Jod, zu.
<I>Beispiel 2:</I> 150 Teile einer 10 o/oigen Paste von An- thanthron werden mit 80 Teilen Brom ver setzt. Man erwärmt auf etwa<B>60-650</B> und tropft bei dieser Temperatur 220 Teile 17,5 o/oiger Natronlauge ein. Die Reaktions masse wird nach Beispiel 1 aufgearbeitet.
Process for the production of an orange vat dye. In the main patent No. 124528 and its previous additions, the production of real orange vat dyes by halogenation of anthanthrone is described under certain conditions.
It has been found that anthanthrone can also be halogenated in aqueous suspension in the presence or absence of catalysts such as iodine, iron chloride, etc.
Given the difficult substitutability of anthantliron, the smooth feasibility of the present process is surprising.
The dyeing and chemical properties of the resulting dyes correspond to those of the main patent.
The present patent now relates to a process for the production of an orange vat dye, characterized in that antlianthrone is brominated in an aqueous suspension. The brominated anthanthrone obtained in this way is identical to the dye of the Swiss patent No. 130618.
<I> Example 1 </I> 150 parts of a 10% aqueous paste of anthanthrone are mixed with 80 parts of bromine. The mixture is slowly heated to about 60-65 and held at this temperature for some time. The mixture is diluted with water, the excess bromine is removed, for example by treating with bisulfite, the residue is filtered off with suction, washed and dried.
The dye is obtained in pure form by converting it into the sparingly soluble sulfate by treating it with sulfuric acid with a moderate water content according to the method of Swiss patent no. 140102 or by recrystallization from high-boiling solvents such as nitrobenzene. A catalyst, for example 0.2 part of iodine, is advantageously added to the reaction.
<I> Example 2 </I> 150 parts of a 10% paste of anthanthrone are mixed with 80 parts of bromine. The mixture is heated to about 60-650 and 220 parts of 17.5% sodium hydroxide solution are added dropwise at this temperature. The reaction mass is worked up according to Example 1.
