Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines lifipenfarbstoffes der Antl)ratenreihe. Gegenstand dieses Patentes ist ein Ver fahren zür Darstellung eines Küpenfarbst,:)f- fes der Anthracenreihe, welches dadurch ye- kennzeichnet ist, dass man das aus -#1-(a-Naph- lo#1)-benzoesäure dureh Kondensation mit A1C13 erhältliche Kondensationsprodukt von folgender Formel:

bei etwa 200<B>' C</B> bis<B>3100 ' C</B> mit kaustischem Alkali behandelt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> <B>1</B> Gewichtsteil des Kondensationsproduk tes aus 2,-(a-Naphtoyl)-benzoesäure (dar- ge54ellt nach den Beipielen <B>1</B> und 2 des Schweizer Patentes Nr. 14152,6) wird bei <B>-230<I>'</I> C</B> in<B>6</B> Ge-wiehtsteile geschmolzenes 'Itzkali eingetragen. Die Temperatur wird unter beständigem Rühren der Schmelze auf <B><U>'IM</U> ' C</B> bis<B>260 ' C</B> gesteigert. Bei dieser Temperatur wird so lange gerührt, bis eine in Wasser gelöste Probe keine Zunahme der Farbstoffbildung mehr zeigt.
Die Schmelze wird alsdann in Wasser gelöst, nach Zugabe von Hydrosulfit erwärmt und heiss filtriert. Aus dem Filtrat scheidet sich der Farbstoff durch Lufteinblasen in feinen violetten Flocken ab, die abgesaugt, gewaschen und getrocknet werden. Der Farbstoff stellt ein violettschwarzes Pulver dar-; seine Küpe ist von rotvioletter Farbe und zeigt starke rote Fluoreszenz.
