Tuyauterie flexible.
Flexible piping. The object of the present invention is a flexible pipe, formed of pipes following and articulated between them. This pipe is characterized in that the opposite ends of two pipes each carry a cylinder communicating with the interior of the corresponding pipe and whose axis is arranged transversely with respect to that of this pipe, the two cylinders being arranged one inside the other co-axially and so as to be able to rotate about their common axis, the outer cylinder having, in addition, on its cylindrical mantle an opening allowing the pipe carrying the inner cylinder to rotate with respect to the the aforementioned transversal axis.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example and partially, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view in vertical section, FIG. 2 is a plan, FIG. 3 is a section through III-III and FIG. 4, a section through IV-IV of fig. 2. 1 and 2 are two pipes arranged one after the other; on the end of the pipe 1 is fixed a cylinder 3, the axis of which is placed transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of said pipe 1 and on the pipe 2 is also fixed a cylinder 4, the axis of which is arranged transversely compared to that of pipe 2.
The cylinders 3 and 4, each formed of a cylindrical mantle and two bottoms, are arranged one inside the other so as to have the same axis 5, around which they can rotate; for this purpose, at the ends of this axis are arranged knobs 6 and 7 around which can turn bearings 8, fixed to cylinder 3, and tie rods 9, fixed to pipe 2. The cylinder 3 has, on its cylindrical mantle , an opening 10, extending over an arc of a little less than 1800, and around which the two flanges 11 and 12 are arranged (see fig. 3). The flange I1 is welded to the cylinder 3 and the flange 12 is fixed to the flange _l1 by nut bolts.
At their lower part, these two flanges clamp together a rubber band 13 which they press against the cylindrical periphery of the cylinder 4, so as to ensure a good seal. 14 are two trestles fixed to the pipe 2 (see fig. 4) by means of a pin 15; on these easels are fixed the tie rods 9, already mentioned. The two cylinders 3 and 4 communicate freely with the interior of their pipes; furthermore, cylinder 4 is cut, following the plane $ -g, which puts it in free communication with cylinder 3.
The pipe thus constructed has the advantage of being able to adapt to any unevenness in the ground, since the pipes that compose it, 1, 2, etc. can rotate with respect to each other around the common axis 5, this rotation being able to be carried out without in any way hindering the passage of the liquid and without any leaks being to be feared thanks to the rubber band 13; the ti rants 9 fix together, in the longitudinal direction, the pipes 1 and 2 and prevent them from separating under the action of external pressure. Pipes, like cylinders, can be made of sheet metal and welded together.
