Method and device for producing artificial threads and the like from viscose. The invention relates to the conversion of viscose into artificial threads and the like by spraying the viscose through a suitable nozzle in an acidic Fällba, d.
According to the invention, after the thread emerges from the precipitation bath, it is passed over a revolving roller and from there essentially vertically downwards to a second revolving roller and around it, while water or another liquid such as diluted acid or a Spinning bath, lets work on the thread when it runs around the second rail.
This action of the liquid on the thread can be brought about by placing the lower part or roller in a bath. immersing the liquid, or dripping the liquid onto the roller or onto the thread when it reaches the roller; It is also possible to use several of these modes of operation at the same time to ensure that the liquid acts on the thread as it runs around the second roller.
After leaving the second roll, the thread can be guided over a third surrounding roll and from there to a collecting device, for example a spinning pot or a heating bobbin,
or the thread can also arrive directly at such a collecting device without switching on a third revolving roller. During its travel around the third revolving roll or while it accumulates thereon, the thread can also be treated with water or some other liquid in a similar manner to that described in connection with the second revolving roll.
The surface speed of the second roll can be the same as that of the first roll or greater, and in the latter case the thread is stretched between the two rolls.
If by the action of the water or another liquid: on, the second role or by any other. Means a contraction of the thread takes place, it may be desirable to adjust the speed of the third roller so that it is less than that of the second roller.
The invention is particularly suitable for use in those cases in which viscose filaments are produced by spinning in a bath with a high acid content, for example with 55% or more @ S, sulfuric acid (British Patent No. 274521) or 45 to 55% sulfuric acid or other acids (British patent specification No. 281351) or other mineral acids (British patent specification 274690).
In the drawings, two devices for carrying out the method according to the invention are shown schematically, for example, the invention is, but not limited to these examples.
In each of FIGS. 1 and 2, A denotes the nozzle that is immersed in the fur bath contained in the vessel B. The viscose emerging from nozzle A takes on the form of a thread AZ, which is guided over a first roller C and then vertically downwards to a second roller D, the lower part of which is immersed in a trough E, which contains water or a Contains other suitable liquid. After the thread has run around roll D, it is fed to a third roll F and from there through a funnel G into a spinning pot H.
In the device according to FIG. 1, the three rollers C, D and F are practically in the same plane, while in the device according to FIG. 2 the rollers D and F are in one plane: the at right angles to that of the role C is. If desired, the thread can be guided loosely over a guide rod K after it leaves the fur bath in the vessel B, as shown in FIG.
Care must be taken @ that the reel grips the thread sufficiently; For example, if the rollers have a small diameter, the threads can be guided around one or more times.
