Description
System with stationary combustion engine and exhaust gas turbine. The invention relates to a system with stationary internal combustion engines and exhaust gas turbines. According to the invention, the exhaust gas turbine is arranged in a special room next to the machine room. The exhaust gas turbine is expediently arranged on a floor that is raised in relation to the machine room floor so that the exhaust gases can be guided by the shortest route from the outlet organs to the turbine.
The space for the turbine can be open to the machine room with the internal combustion engine. In the case of several machines, the exhaust gas turbines for at least two machines can be housed in a common room. This space can be arranged in the machine room on: the face of the adjacent machines. The adjoining room in which the exhaust gas turbines are located can be designed as a brick or concrete building for itself. An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown on the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the front view, and Fig. 2 shows a floor plan. In both figures, A are the internal combustion engines, B. The electric generators they drive and C the excitation machines. These machines are net in a machine room I. The exhaust gas turbines D are housed in an adjoining room II. They are set up heightened so that the exhaust gases get to them through the shortest possible lines F and drive supercharger G on. which suck their air through the mouth E and deliver it through the line H to the internal combustion engine.
The exhaust gases leave the turbine through the line .l and bypass machine room I directly into the atmosphere.
The invention makes it possible to fasten the exhaust gas turbine in the special space independently of the internal combustion engine 7u. The supply lines to the exhaust gas turbine are relatively short when the turbine is raised, as is the supercharging air line. The exhaust gases can be led directly up into the open air. A connection to the turbine room can be established from the machine platform so that access is possible from there.
The arrangement of the exhaust turbine in a special room is also recommended if you want to keep the heat flowing out of the exhaust gas turbine and its supply and discharge lines from the main machine room as possible. The rooms under the adjoining room II can be used to accommodate the ancillary equipment that is always necessary in an internal combustion engine system, such as air, fuel, lubricating equipment, oil containers, etc.
