Verbundverbr ennumskr aftmaschinenanlage.
Combined combustion engine system. The invention relates to a composite combustion engine system with a supercharging pump driven by at least one exhaust gas turbine and consists in that the turbo pump is set up with its shaft perpendicular to the shafts of the internal combustion engine on the end facing away from its drive side.
The gas turbo pump can be installed on the machine house floor or on a higher machine platform. It can be moved very close to the machine, or close by. the machine room wall. For the conveying air of the charging pump, a cooler is advantageously arranged below the machine platform. With an even number of exhaust gas turbopumps, two each can be arranged coaxially and detachably coupled to one another on the xompressor sides.
It is useful to have more exhaust gas turbines, or less charging pumps than combustion engines, so that more exhaust gas turbines are available than charging pumps because the exhaust gas turbines operating at high temperatures are more likely to suffer an accident; than those with pure air and at. pumps working at low temperatures. Each charging pump can be driven by two exhaust gas turbines.
Some embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings.
1 shows a stationary composite internal combustion engine system in elevation and FIG. 2 in plan. The six-cylinder internal combustion engine 1 is supplied with the charging air through the suction line 13, the charging pump 2 and the line 3. The exhaust gases from the machine flow through the device 4 into the exhaust gas turbine 6 and through the line 5 into the atmosphere. The exhaust gas turbine 6 is used to drive the charging pump 2.
The exhaust gas turbo pump 2, 6 is attached with its shaft perpendicular to the axis of the machine shaft on the end face of the machine facing away from the drive side. The conveying air of the charging pump 6 is cooled by a cooler 8 arranged below the machine platform 7.
In Fig. 3, a similar system is recorded. The exhaust gas turbo pump 2, 6 is attached with the shaft perpendicular to the axis of the machine shaft on the machine platform, namely on the end face facing away from the drive side of the machine along the machine house wall 9. The supercharged air cooler 8 is arranged below the machine platform 7.
In FIGS. 4 and 5, a composite internal combustion engine system for a two-screw ship is shown. Fig. 4 is an elevation, in Fig. 5 @ a Ctrundriss of the plant. There are two six-cylinder internal combustion engines and two exhaust gas turbo pumps.
These are on the end face of the machine facing away from the drive side, namely on the machine platform near the machine room wall, with the shafts perpendicular to the axes of the machine shafts in such a way that their shafts on the charging pump side face each other. bump. The two units are detachably coupled to each other by the coupling 10. The gas turbines 6 are overhung on the outside. By means of the connecting line 11 and the closing elements 12, the exhaust gases from the lines 4 can be directed to both or only to one exhaust gas turbine 6.
The air supply line 13 from the outside, as well as the gas line 5 to the outside, rise vertically above the deck.
In Fig. 6, a system with three internal combustion engines, four exhaust gas turbines and two charging pumps is shown schematically. Each charging pump 2 is driven by an exhaust gas turbine 6 on the sides. The exhaust gas turbopumps are arranged on the opposite end of the machine with the shafts perpendicular to the axes of the machine shafts some of the exhaust gas turbines 6 can be switched.
