Combustion power machine with a turbocharger driven by means of an exhaust gas turbine. The invention relates to internal combustion engines with charging blades driven by means of an exhaust gas turbine. According to the invention, a compressed air pump is arranged, the compressed air of which is used in addition to the exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine to drive the charging blower.
This compressed air pump can be coupled to the internal combustion engine and only supply this compressed air, or at the same time compressed air for starting or, in internal combustion engines in which the fuel is blown in using compressed air, supply compressed air for fuel injection purposes. The compressed air can be fed into the exhaust pipe upstream of the turbine or, in the case of multi-stage exhaust gas turbines, into any stage of the exhaust gas turbine. But it can also be introduced into the same through special nozzles.
These nozzles and the nozzles for the exhaust gases can be arranged on different sides of a turbine wheel, so that the compressed air and the exhaust gases flow through the turbine wheel in the opposite direction when they exit these nozzles. This compressed air can then be mixed with the exhaust gases in front of the turbine and flow through the turbine wheel again. If the turbine has several chambers for the exhaust gases in an inlet housing, the pressure air nozzles are expediently arranged opposite the walls between the chambers so that the compressed air is evenly distributed over these chambers.
However, a special turbine could also be arranged for this compressed air on the axis of the exhaust gas turbo fan, or a turbine blade designed for it could be placed on the rotor of the fan. This compressed air can now be compressed to the pressure of the exhaust gases upstream of the turbine, or to a higher pressure so that a sufficiently large compressed air output is achieved on the shaft of the exhaust gas turbine blower with a small compressed air pump. The compressed air can also be heated by the exhaust gases flowing into or out of the turbine.
On the accompanying drawings, some embodiments of the subject invention are shown .. Fig. 1 shows the first embodiment; Figs. 2 and 3 each show a. Another exemplary embodiment from; Fig. 4-6 show introductions of the compressed air into the exhaust gas turbine.
In Fig. 1, 1 is a four-cylinder internal combustion engine with the combustion cylinders 2-5, the flywheel 6 and the shaft end 7, from which the .Kraft is transmitted to the outside. An exhaust gas turbine 8, which drives a supercharger 9, also belongs to the machine system. The supercharged air is drawn in through line 10 of this fan and passes through line 11 to the four combustion cylinders. The exhaust gases from these cylinders ver leave the same through lines 12, 13, 14 respectively. 15 and from there through line 16 to turbine B.
You leave the same through the line 17. The shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 drives the push rod 21 with the piston 18 of the single-stage pump 19 by means of the crank 20. This pump sucks air through the line 25 and the valve 22 and conveys it through the valve 23 into the line 24. The line 24 carries this compressed air to the housing of the turbine 3. where it helps drive the fan 9 there the same.
In Fig. 2, an embodiment with a two-stage compressed air pump is drawn. 19 is the low pressure stage, 26 the high pressure stage. 18 is the stepped piston: the air is sucked through the valve 27 into the low pressure cylinder 19 and passes through the pressure valve 28 in a compressed state from the same into the lines 24 and 24 respectively. 31. The line 24 leads through a preheater 35, which is arranged in the discharge line 17 of the turbine and from there to the turbine B. The line 31, on the other hand, leads the air to the high pressure stage of the compressed air pump with the inlet valve 29 and the pressure valve 30.
The air compressed in the high-pressure stage reaches its point of use through line 32, for example to the starter valves 33 and 34, which are arranged on the combustion cylinders.
In Fig. 3, an embodiment of the subject invention with a three-stage compressed air pump 19 is shown. Part of the compressed air of the low-pressure stage is fed through line 24 and a preheater 35 to turbine 8. This preheater 35 is arranged in the supply line 16 to the exhaust gas turbine and the precompressed compressed air flows out after heating into this line and mixes with the exhaust gases flowing there.
Fig. 4 shows a section through a turbine B. The compressed air passes through the line 24 and the nozzles 39 to the one stage turbine wheel 36, while the exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine from the Lei device 16 enter the housing 39 and through the nozzles 40 to the Turbine wheel 36 ge long.
According to FIGS. 5 and 6, the turbine again has a single-stage turbine wheel 36. The nozzles 39 for the compressed air and the nozzles 40 for the exhaust gases are arranged on different sides of the turbine wheel, so that the compressed air and the exhaust gases pass the turbine wheel 36 in opposite directions flow through. The compressed air emerging from the turbine wheel is caught up through the channel 41 and from there into the space in front of the nozzles 40, through which this air again flows through the turbine wheel 36 with the exhaust gases.
For the compressed air, a special turbine could also be provided on the shaft of the exhaust gas turbo blower, or a turbine wheel could also be arranged on the rotor of the supercharging blower.
