Dans chacun des deux dossiers ca sem blables, du lit, est ménagée à la partie in férieure, une coulisse garnie d'une ferrure b fixée au dossier. Cette ferrure recourbée à ses extrémités est vue en élévation fig. 3 et en coupe transversale fig. 4.
Chacun des deux côtés c du meuble d, supporte un galet f. Sur ce galet dont l'axe reste fixe, vient reposer la ferrure b.
Le lit étant dans la. position a, le galet se trouve à une extrémité de la ferrure. Pour amener ce lit dans le meuble d, on le repousse d'abord de manière à amener l'autre extré mité de cette ferrure contre le galet. Cette extrémité étant, comme l'autre, recourbée, entoure suffisamment ledit galet pour qu'on puisse donner au lit le mouvement de bas cule l'amenant dans la position a'. Chaque pied g solidaire de la partie h du côté à charnières i est alors .replié -en g1 en fai sant jouer sur leurs articulations les fer rures j, k, la ferrure<I>j</I> possédant un arrêt<I>l</I> limitant le mouvement d'amenée du pied dans la position g.
Les dossiers a sont arrondis de façon à passer au-dessous de la. partie supérieure du meuble d. On voit que grâce au mouvement de tiroir que l'on peut donner au lit en le faisant mouvoir sur les galets de support, le meuble d peut le contenir tout en étant de très faible hauteur. On réduit l'encombre ment à son minimum.
La coulisse garnie de la ferrure b étant fermée seulement à ses extrémités, l'on peut, dans la position intermédiaire représentée fig. 3, séparer facilement le lit, du meuble d, ou bien le remettre en place.
Bien entendu la face avant du meuble comportera des rideaux ou des portes mas quant complètement le lit amené à l'intérieur du meuble, la literie non rerpésentée, pourra être maintenue par des .liens au sangles, mais ce sont là des formes de construction gui peuvent être établies suivant les besoins.
