Bicycle stand. The subject of the invention is a bicycle stand with two vertical identical and identical surrounding frames for the front wheels of two of the stand to accommodate the bicycles, which surrounding frames are perpendicular to their plane so that the two bicycles are parallel to each other, but offset in the longitudinal direction to one another and so the arms of their handlebars that are turned towards one another come to lie one behind the other.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown looking pictorially.
The bicycle stand shown has an S-shaped frame 1 lying on the floor with a double central web la and two downwardly curved ends 2 to be anchored in the floor. A vertical surrounding frame 3 for each central web bar protrudes at two diametrically opposite corners the front wheel of a bicycle upwards. These enclosing frames are identical and equal to one another and are offset from one another perpendicular to their plane, i.e. H. arranged in two parallel planes. At their upper ends, the enclosing frames are rigidly connected to one another by a cranked rod 4.
In order to increase the stability of the two to the frame perpendicular to their plane, the rod 4 is braced at its corners by inclined struts 5 with the free leg ends of the frame 1. The vertical bars of the enclosing frames are bent too weakly apart towards the middle, so that the clear width of the enclosing frames at half height is greater than above and below. With this shape, the outline of a surrounding frame corresponds approximately to the cross-sectional outline of a bicycle wheel near its axis.
As a result of this design of the surrounding frame, its vertical rods rest on the top and bottom of the tire and in the middle on the spokes of the front wheel of a bicycle set with the same in the surrounding frame, which prevents the wheel from pivoting in the surrounding frame and consequently also the bicycle against Falling over is secured without further aids.
The mutual displacement of the two surrounding frame 3 perpendicular to their plane allows two bicycles to be moved in their longitudinal direction to each other and therefore set very close to each other, as is indicated in the drawing in thin lines. The closer arms of the two handlebars of the bicycles grip one behind the other.
The two bicycles take up almost half a handlebar width less space in the width direction than in a bicycle stand of the previously common design with a surrounding frame for the bicycle wheels arranged in a common plane. Also, the risk of injury to the above-described enclosed bike stand due to its peculiar narrow design compared to the usual wide stands with two pairs of lateral struts is considerably lower. The bicycles can be set from one side or the other in the stand. The attachment of the stand on the floor can instead of fixed, also be detachable, for.
