  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wasserlöslichen     Chromierungsfarbstoffes    der       Triar        ylmethanreihe.       Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wasserlös  lichen     Chromierungsfarbstoffes,    welches  darin besteht,     daB    man     p-Dimethyl-o-chlor-          phenylamin-di-o-kresotinsäurecarbinol    mit  einem neutralen     Sulfit    behandelt.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>  49 Gewichtsteile     p-Dimethyl-o-chlorphenyl-          amin-di-o-kresotinsäurecarbinol    werden     mit55     Gewichtsteilen     Natriumsulfit    (kristallisiert)       and    zirka 1000 Teilen Wasser unter Rühren  bis zur Lösung erhitzt, filtriert und zur  Trockne verdampft. Das eingedampfte Pro  dukt löst sich leicht in Wasser auf, ist farb  los und scheidet beim Ansäuern das ur  sprüngliche     Carbinol    wieder aus.

   Die     nach-          ehromierte    Ausfärbung der     Sulfitverbindung     ist blauviolett und stimmt in allen ihren Eigen-         schaften    mit denen des Ausgangsfarbstoffes  überein.

The evaporated product dissolves easily in water, is colorless and separates out the original carbinol when it is acidified.

   The authenticated coloring of the sulphite compound is blue-violet and corresponds in all of its properties with those of the starting dye.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wasser löslichen Chromierungsfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man p-Dimethyl-o-chlor- phenylamin-di-o-kresotinsäurecarbinol mit einem neutralen Sulfit behandelt. Das Produkt löst sich leicht in Wasser auf, ist farblos und scheidet beim Ansäuern das ursprüngliche Carbinol wieder aus. Die nachchromierte Ausfärbung der Sulfit- verbindung ist blauviolett und stimmt in allen ihren Eigenschaften mit denen des Ausgangsfarbstoffes überein.
