Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Gerbstoffes.    Es ist bis dahin nicht bekannt gewesen,  dass     f-Chlormethylensalicylsäure,    beziehungs  weise deren Derivate und     Substitutionspro-          dukte,    mit den Salzen von aromatischen       Oxysulfosäuren    zu Verbindungen zusammen  treten, die als Gerbstoffe von besonderer  Bedeutung sind.  



  Das den Gegenstand des vorliegenden  Patentes bildende Verfahren ist dadurch ge  kennzeichnet, dass die     D-Chlormethylensalicyl-          säure    der Formel

    in verdünnt saurer Lösung mit     pheriol-p-sulfo-          saurem    Natrium kondensiert wird.  



  Das Produkt bat in schwach saurer Lö  sung stark leimfällende Eigenschaften und  verwandelt die tierische Blösse in ein wert  volles, weisses und volles Leder.  



  <I>Beispiel</I>  184 Teile     SZ-Chlor-methylensalicylsäure     werden in 400 Teilen 30     o@'oiger    Essigsäure  mit<B>197</B> Teilen     pheriolsulfosaurem    Natrium    während 6 Stunden am     Rückflusskühler    ge  kocht. Rühren ist von     x7orteil.    Den Kolben  inhalt giesst man in Eiswasser, wobei sich  das neue Kondensationsprodukt als dickes  Harz ausscheidet, das langsam hart wird.  Dasselbe wird nach dem Auswaschen mit  Hilfe von     Natriumacetat    mit wenig Wasser       iri    Lösung gebracht, essigsauer gestellt und  ist nun als     Gerbstoff    ohne weiteres verwendbar.

  In a weakly acidic solution, the product has strong glue-precipitating properties and transforms the animal nakedness into valuable, white and full leather.



  <I> Example </I> 184 parts of SZ-chloromethylene salicylic acid are boiled in 400 parts of 30% acetic acid with 197 parts of sodium pheriolsulfonate for 6 hours on a reflux condenser. Stirring is of the essence. The contents of the flask are poured into ice water, the new condensation product separating out as a thick resin that slowly hardens. After washing it out with the help of sodium acetate, it is brought into solution with a little water, acidified with acetic acid and can now be used as a tanning agent without further ado.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Gerb stoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Q-Chlormethylensalicylsäure der Formel EMI0001.0019 in verdünnt saurer Lösung mit phenol-p-5ul- fosaurem Natrium kondensiert wird. Das Produkt hat in schwach säurer Lö sung stark leimfällende Eigenschaften und verwandelt die tierische Blösse in ein wert volles, reines und volles Leder.
