Addition, zpatent to main patent no. <B> 118232. </B> Procedure for the production of a new indigoid dye. It has been found that a new indigoid dye is obtained if 6-chloro-o-toluidine (CHu.NH2: Cl # 1: 2:
6) by diazotizing, combining the diazo compound with an alkali metal antagonist, treating the coupling product with a caustic alkali and condensing the resulting compound with an alkali metal salt of a monohaloacetic acid, into the 2-methyl-3-chloro-1-phenylthioglycolic acid,
in a second phase these agents have a condensing effect by treating them with the 6-chloro-7-ynethyl-S-oxythio-napbten cyclized, in a third phase <B> 1 </B> mol. 6-chloro-7-niethyl- 3-oxythionaphteti, <B> 1 </B> Mol. <B> 2, </B> 3-Naphthooxythiopheil and <B> 1 </B> Mol. Of an aromatic nitroso compound can act on one another in such a way that
that the nitroso compound is allowed to react with one of the components, the anil thus obtained is condensed with the other component and the dye obtained is brominated. The new dye forms a purple-tinged brown powder that dissolves in sulfuric acid with a green color and dyes cotton from yellow-orange Kripe in pure, purple shades of excellent fastness.
<I> Example: </I> <B> 71 </B> parts 6-chloro-o-toluidine (CH3: N112 - CI <B> 1: </B> 2: <B> 6) </ B> are diazotized in a known manner and introduced into a <B> 70 '</B> hot solution of <B> 90 </B> parts of xanthogenic potash and <B> 80 </B> parts of soda.
Once the evolution of gas has ended, it is left to cool, etherified, after the iter has evaporated with <B> 125 </B> parts of caustic soda <B> ä </B> 40 11 B6 and <B> 300 </ B> Parts of fuel saponified on the reflux condenser and saponified in the same solution with <B> 70 </B> parts of chloroacetic acid, dissolved in 84 parts of sodium hydroxide solution <B> ä </B> 40 <B> 0 </B> B6 and water, condensed. The fuel is distilled off, left to cool and acidified with hydrochloric acid.
The precipitated 2-methyl-3-chlorophenylthioglykolsäu're is filtered and dried. Recrystallized from diluted fuel, it forms white needles with a melting point of 104. ' <B> 28 </B> parts of this product are now dissolved in ten times the amount of phosphorus trichloride; 22 parts of aluminum chloride are then added and the mixture is slowly heated to <B> 60 </B> to <B> 65 </B> ". With vigorous evolution of hydrogen chloride, the liquid takes on a red-brown color.
The excess of the phosphorus trichloride is now distilled off in the Vaktium and the residue is added in water and ice to decompose the phosphorus and aluminum compounds. It is filtered and the reaction product is purified by dissolving in C dilute alkali, filtering and precipitating with acid.
The 6-Clilor-7-methyl-S-oxytliioiiaphteii forms a colorless body that crystallizes from dilute acetic acid in beautiful needles with a melting point of 102 to 1030. It is sparingly soluble in alcohol, ether, ligroin, and benzene; it can easily be obtained in a pure state by distillation with steam.
19.8 parts of 6-Clilor-7-methyl-3-oxythio-naplite are dissolved in 100 parts of 1 ″, subsequent sodium hydroxide solution, heated to 40 to 5011 and with a solution of <B> 16.5 </B> parts of p-nitrosocliniethylaniline in <B> 100 </B> parts of gasoline. Condensation occurs immediately and the thick pulp that precipitates is filtered and then with hot Wash out water until the filtrate is colorless.
The new p-di-rnetliyl.tmiiioaiiil of 6-chloro-7-metliyltliio-naplitenquinone dissolves in hot benzene with a red color and crystallizes when <B> cooling </B> cold in beautiful green shiny needles with a melting point <B> 256 </B> to <B> 2570. </B>
300 parts of this anil are then suspended with 200 parts of 2, 'D-Naplithoo., Cytlilophen in 4000 parts of benzene. -The condensation ends after a short boil. The dyestuff separated out in good yield is filtered off and dried.
394 parts of the dye obtained in this way are introduced into 6000 parts of nitrobenzene and mixed with 852 parts of Broni. The temperature is slowly increased to 1400 within <B> 30 </B> hours. After your cold it is filtered with alcohol. Wash and dry afterwards.
