Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen     ehromierbaren        Farbstoffes     der     Triphenylmethanreihe.       Das vorliegende Patent betrifft ein Ver  fahren zur Darstellung eines neuen     ohromier-          baren    Farbstoffes der     Triphenylmethanreihe.     Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet,  dass man     2.6-Dichlor-l-benzaldehyd    mit       2.4-Dihydroxy-8-rriethyl-benzo:esäure    kon  densiert und das erhältliche     Leukoprodukt     oxydiert.  



       Beispiel     Man löst 15 Gewichtsteile 2.     6-Dichlor-          1-benzaldehyd    und 28 Gewichtsteile 2.     4-Di-          hydroxy-8-methylbenzoesäure    (durch     Kar-          bonisierung    von 2.     6-Dihydroxytoluol    erhal  ten, Schmelzpunkt 206-20.7   C) in starker  Schwefelsäure und rührt die Mischung, bis  das     Leukoprodukt    gebildet ist, welches durch  Eingiessen der Mischung in Eiswasser abge  schieden und durch     Abfiltrieren        isoliert    wer  den kann, um     nachher    oxydiert zu werden.

    Zur Herstellung des Farbstoffes ist aber eine  Isolierung des     Leukoproduktes    nicht notweh  '     dig    und man kann auch zur     obgenannten    Mi  schung in starker Schwefelsäure     nach    Be-         endigung    der Kondensation 7 Gewichtsteile       salpetrigsaures    Natrium hinzufügen,     und     bei 20 bis 50   rühren, bis die Bildung des  Farbstoffes vollständig ist, wonach man auf  Eis giesst und     abfiltriert.    Man erhält ein im  trockenen Zustande braunes Pulver.

Der so erhältliche Farbstoff stellt im trocke- nen Zustande ein braunes Pulver dar und färbt Wolle aus saurem Bade in scharlach roten Nuancen, die nachchromiert in ein in tensives Rot übergehen.
