Abschlamtttventileinricbtung, especially for locomotive boilers. The subject matter of the invention is a blow-down valve device, in particular for locomotive boilers and the purpose of which is to clean the seat surface of the drain valve through a flushing medium after blow-down has taken place. This purpose is achieved in that the shut-off valve device has an outer jacket or pre-valve and an inner drain valve to form an intermediate space,
which is connected to a flushing line. In order to be able to rinse the seat surface of the drain valve at any time, even during operation, and at the same time to be able to remove the sludge beforehand on a prescribed path and avoiding splashing from the side, a hood with guide surfaces can be inserted into a drain nozzle. which is connected to the drain valve by a spindle and is raised by means of a pressure fluid, so that the hood also acts as a pressure piston.
In order to reduce the noise when the sludge falls out as far as possible, the cross-section of the annular channel between the hood and the nozzle can be designed so that it widens in the direction of the drain. In order to be able to do the rinsing at any time and during operation, the pressure line can be extended up to a control member located in a driver's cab.
A blowdown valve device in a locomotive boiler is shown as an embodiment of the invention, without the invention being restricted thereto.
The drawing shows: Fig. 1 the general arrangement on a locomotive, Fig. 2 a longitudinal section.
The blowdown valve device A is attached to the boiler B sludge bag. It has a drain nozzle 1, on wel chem the lower part 2 is screwed. This lower part 2 forms with the hood 3 a piston chamber 4, which leads through the pressure medium line C via a control element D located in the driver's cab to a pressure medium tank, for example the air pressure tank E of the boiler. The valve spindle 5, on which the inner discharge valve 6 is seated, is attached to the hood.

As soon as pressure medium is let into the piston chamber 4 between the lower part 2 and the hood 3 through the line C, the hood 3, which acts as a pressure piston, is raised and thus opened by the spindle 5 of the drain valve 6.
On its opening path, the drain valve 6 places its upper part in front of the outlet opening of the spring 8 on the interior of the pilot valve 7, taking it with it against the pressure of the spring 8, which is thereby tensioned,
so that the sludge masses accumulated in the nettle or sludge sack can flow out through the opening of the drain a13 valve that has now become free in the housing support part 1.
If the flow of pressure is turned off by the driver at the control orr; at D in the line C, steam flows out of the steam chamber of the boiler through the tube 9 and the band spring 8, pressing the drain valve 6 from the pilot valve 7, where the former is gradually lowers,
because the pressure in the piston hammer 4 slowly disappears due to the inevitable leaks or a special outlet (not shown). As a result, the steam can pass through the intermediate space 10 between the pre-valve 7 and the discharge valve 6 over the seat surface of the discharge valve 6 and blow the seat surface into the metal,
until this sits on. The pilot valve 7 follows the movement of the relaxing spring 8, which is faster
