La fig. 1 montre, partiellement en coupe longitudinale la poignéé de la canne; La fig. 2 est une coupe longitudinale d'une autre partie de la canne; La $g. 3 est une section suivant la ligne b-b de la fig. 2 ; La fig. 4 est- une vue en bout de la partie montrée en fig. 2; La fig. 5 est une coupe suivant a-a de la fig. 2; La fig. 6 est une vue analogue à celle de la fig. 2, le pistolet étant enlevé;
Pistol hidden in an object. The present invention relates to a pistol concealed in an object, for example, in a transportable or portable object such as: cane, parasol, umbrella, whip, cow whip, various weapons, police officer stick etc. The pistol can also be applied to any object which does not have a handle and which can be grasped at the place where the pistol is closed: household feather duster, broom, butcher's saw, handheld spotting scope etc.
The pistol can still be hidden in any fixed or moving object such as iron or wooden door bars, brake or gearshift control levers of cars, baby carriages, hand cars, bag handles. handlebars, bicycle handlebars etc., in a word in any part of a piece of furniture, a tool and even in any place forming part of a dwelling.
In the accompanying drawing, there is shown by way of example and schematically, an embodiment of the object of the invention, assuming that the gun is concealed in a rod.
Fig. 1 shows, partially in longitudinal section, the handle of the cane; Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of another part of the rod; The $ g. 3 is a section along line b-b of FIG. 2; Fig. 4 is an end view of the part shown in FIG. 2; Fig. 5 is a section on a-a of FIG. 2; Fig. 6 is a view similar to that of FIG. 2, the gun being removed;
Fig. 7 represents the part of the rod shown in FIG. 6 cut along a plane perpendicular to the plane of section of FIG. 6; Figs. â through 19 represent details. In the drawing, 1 designates the nozzle of the rod in which is formed a cylindrical housing 5, threaded at 6 which allows the nozzle to be screwed onto the threaded end 7 of a cylindrical part 2 forming part of the gun and of the rod . In the part 2 are arranged in parallel two holes 8 passing right through it and constituting the barrels or cores of the gun.
A third hole 9 through the cylindrical part 2 is used for the passage of a hooking skewer 17.
In addition to parts 1 and 2, the rod also comprises a hollow part 3, hereinafter called the barrel, and a solid part 4, integral with the barrel 3 and extending to the small end of the rod. In the barrel 3, can move a piston 11 provided with two studs 12 intended to engage, in the position of the piston indicated in FIG. 2, in the barrels 8 of part 2. In addition, the piston is provided with a skewer donkey 17 longer than the studs, which aims to pass through the hole 9 of part 2 and to fix the pieces 1-2 with the barrel 3 of the cane. The piston 11 is subjected to the action of a coil spring 13 fixed to the bottom 14 of the barrel 3, which tends to return the piston 11 to the position indicated in FIG. 7.
In one of the faces of the piston is provided titi threaded hole 15 (fig. 4, 6, 7) into which can be screwed the threaded end of a spindle 10 (fig. 18). The free end of the skewer 17 has a toggle ratchet 20 pivoted at 20 'serving to hook parts 3, 4 of the cane to parts 1, 2 as described below. In the barrel 3 is made a semi-circular groove 17 'having a progressively decreasing depth. A spring latch 16, housed in the piston 11 is intended to engage in this groove when the piston is in the position of FIG. 6.
The mechanism of the gun, which is placed in the housing 5 of the part 1, introducing it through the threaded open end 6, is held therein by screws, rivets or the like. This mechanism comprises a semi-cylindrical block 51 (fig. 8) terminated at its two ends by two cylindrical parts 52 and 25, the diameter of which corresponds to that of the cylindrical recess 5 of the part 1. Inside the block 51 are formed two parallel channels 53 passing through it, and in which are housed the strikers 28 of the pistol with their springs 28 '. The heads of the strikers protrude from part 25 and a bridge 54 in which the strikers can smooth.
This bridge 54 is kept brought back against the part 25 by a return spring 55 (fig. 10 and 11) housed in a cavity of the block 51, a tapped hole 27 of the bridge making it possible to screw the spindle 10 and to pull the bridge 54 for arm the strikers 28, the spring 55 recalling the bridge 27 which slides along the strikers, returns to take its position against the part 25 which is fixed against the block 51 by a screw.
The bottom 52 of the block 51 is fixed by a screw 56 against the latter. This bottom 52 (Fig. 12) constitutes a sort of bowl, comprising a central orifice for the passage of the screw 56, two orifices 57 (Fig. 12) for the passage of the ends of the strikers 28 and an opening of particular shape 58 for the passage of the skewer 17 and its toggle pawl 20. In this bottom 52 is disposed a small coil spring 29, fixed at one end to the cylindrical wall of the bottom 52, and the other end of which is terminated by a hook 59.
This bottom 52 is closed on the side of the block 51 by a disc 18 which can roam freely around the screw 56 which serves as its axis, this disc thus being interposed between said bottom 52 and the semi-cylindrical block 51 which itself comprises fixed after it, a denii-disc 60 comprising two holes still facing the channels 53, and through which pass the ends of the strikers 28, this half-disc 60 also comprising a large hole for the passage of the skewer 17 and of its pawl 20 in the oblique position.
The two holes of the half-disc 60 facing the channels 53 are of such size that they allow the ends of the strikers 28 to pass, stopping them when they arrive at their part comprising collars 28 "which cannot pass through these holes, when the strikers 28 have passed through the holes in the disc 18.
The disc 18 is made of metal and has a central hole 18 ′ for the free passage of the screw 56. This disc further comprises a wide opening 61 communicating with the central hole 18 ′ via a notch 62, and a small hole 63. On the face which is opposite the bottom 52, when the disc 18 is mounted thereon (fig.13), there is a little finger 64 which engages with the hook 59 of the spring 29. The edge of the disc 18, is provided with teeth 21 and a stop tooth 65.
A plate 19, hereinafter called the detent plate is hinged on the block 51, one of these pivots 66 (fig. 8) passing through an eye 67 of the half-disc 60, serves as a stop for the tooth 65 of the disc. 18 when the trigger plate 19 has been folded over the block 51 in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. 8, to limit the oscillation of the disc under the action of the spring 29. The other hinge pin being pushed into a small cavity made on the face of the bottom 25 in contact with the. block 51.
The trigger plate 19 has on its inner face a trigger piece 24 provided with a finger 22. This piece 24 is mounted to oscillate around a pivot 68, its clearance being limited by a mortise 69 with screw 70 (fig. 8 Sa and 19) its return to the position shown in fig. 8 or 811 being produced by a spring 71, fixed to the edge of the plate 19.
In its normal position, the plate 19 is almost folded over the block 51, like a cover, its clearance being limited between the flat surface of this block 51 and the surface of the recess 5 of the part 1 in which the mechanism of the device is housed. gun; this plate is subjected to the action of a conical spring 72 placed between the surface of the block 51 and the plate 19, so that, by pressing on said plate, it closes on the block 51, which causes, by the finger 22 driving a tooth 21 of the disc 18, then by releasing the plate, the latter, under the action of the spring 72, rises, the finger jumping the neighboring tooth thanks to the oscillation of the part 24., then brought into position by the spring 71.
By folding down the plate 19, the disc 18 of one tooth is therefore rotated each time in the direction of the arrow (fig. 8). Consequently, the disc 18 by means of its finger 64 tightens the small spring 29 of the bottom 52. If the plate is released, the finger 22 is released from the teeth 21 and the disc is returned, by the spring 29 -in its position. primitive in which it stops thanks to the tooth 65 which abuts against the pivot 66. The release of the finger 22 from the teeth 21 is obtained thanks to a finger 23 (fig. 8 and 811) < / B> with which one of the strikers 28 is fitted and which slides in a groove 73 made in the block 51 up to the channel. 53 of the corresponding striker.
When the firing pin is fully pulled out with the pin 10 to "cock" them, that is to say bring them into the position shown in fig. 8 and 10, the finger 23 abuts against a notched part of the part 24 (fig. 811) pushing it back, which releases the finger 22 from the teeth of the disc 18 which is thus driven by the spring 29 until the finger 65 comes to rest against the pivot 66..
The mechanism thus described is housed in the recess 5 of the part 1 which comprises a channel 31 to allow the passage of the pin 10 and the recesses allowing the movement of the strikers and of the bridge 54. When the part 1 is screwed onto that 2, the free face of the bottom 52 of the mechanism comes into contact with the part 2 in the barrels 8 of which the cartridges are housed.
In order to be able to press on the trigger plate 19, an opening (not shown) is made in the wall of the recess 5 of the part 1, this opening being masked or concealed by a plain plate of the same color as the part 1, this plate which may take the form of a button or push button which can enter the rod but cannot come out, this button projecting slightly from the surface of the part 1.
The preparation and assembly of the cane is carried out as follows. Parts 1 and 2 being supposed to be separate, to arm the strikers 18 of the mechanism enclosed in 5 in part 1, it suffices to introduce the pin 10 through the channel 31 of the cane nozzle 1, screw it into the hole 27 and pull pin 10 towards yourself while holding part 1, like a bottle that one. wants to lead. The bridge 54 is separated from the bottom 25 by driving the strikers 28. When it reaches the full stroke, the finger 23 of one of the strikers 28 has moved the trigger 24 apart, the tooth 22 of which, releasing the teeth 21 of the disc 18, allows it is up to him to return to the position fig. 8, under the action of spring 29.
In this position of the disc 18, the end 61 '(fig. 13) of the hole 61 is located opposite the hole 58 of the base 52 and a hole made in the half-disc 60. Opposite the latter hole a cavity 74 (fig. 9 and 99) is provided in the block 51, intended to receive the free end of the skewer 17.
By letting the strikers 28 return under the action of their springs 8 ′, the latter abut against the disc 18 which at this moment has no hole to let them pass through as shown in FIG. 8a. The pin 10 is then unscrewed and the bridge 54 returns alone against the bottom 25 under the action of its return spring 55 (FIGS. 8 and 10). The mechanism is therefore armed.
In the cannons 8 of part 2 we insert the bullet cartridges, then we screw 1 on 2 and we have the pistol loaded and cocked.
We then take the part 3-4 in which the piston 11 is in the position according to FIG. 7 and the pin 10 is inserted which is screwed into the hole 15 of the piston and pulled as if to uncork a bottle. When the piston is reassembled, by bringing out the studs 12 from the thread 3, and the hooking skewer 17 (fig. 6), the latch 16 engages in the groove 17 'thus maintaining the piston 11 in position of. hooking (fig. 6).
Part 1-2 is then joined to part 3-4 by inserting the skewer 17 into the hole 9 of part 2 as well as the studs 12 in the barrels 8.
When the bottom of the part 2 comes into contact with the piston 11, the end of the skewer has entered the cavity 74 of the block 52 of the mechanism (fig. 9) in which the pawl 20 is brought into position by its own weight. oblique. We then turn the set 1-2 with respect to the set 3-4; this partial rotation of 1-2, drives, via the studs 12 housed in the barrels 8, the piston 11, which causes the movement of the latch 16 in the groove 17 'until this groove, the depth of which goes downwards, release the pawl 16.
Under the action of the spring 13, the piston 11 is strongly pulled back, but it can only descend into 3 by a small distance (fig. 2) since it is retained by the skewer 17, the slight recoil of which of the piston 11 has brought the pawl 20 against the edge of the opening 61 of the disc 18 (fig. 9a) so that the assembly 1-2 is secured to the assembly 3-4, and can no longer stand be separated only if the skewer 17 is released from the mechanism in which it is hooked by the pawl 20.
In the event of an attack, it suffices to press the button protruding from the surface of the part 1, to cause a first lowering of the trigger plate 19.
By this first lowering of the plate 19, the part 24, by its finger 22, presses on the first tooth 21 (starting from the left in fig. 8a of the disc 18), causing it to rotate by a small portion, this which brings the notch 62 of the opening 61 opposite the pawl 20 of the skewer 17. The pawl no longer being retained by the edge of 61, passes through 61-62 under the action of the res out 13 of the pistou 11, which returns to take the position of FIG. 7. There is therefore no more connection between 3-4 and 1-2, and part 3-4 falls to the ground, the whole 1-2, that is to say the gun remains in the hand.
Under the action of the spring 72, the trigger plate 19 has been raised, the finger 22 of the part 24 having jumped the second tooth of the disc 18.
To fire the first bullet, it suffices to press a second time on the button of part 1, to lower the trigger plate a second time. By means of the finger 22 of the trigger 24, one again turns by one. portion of turn the disc 18, which brings the end 61 'of the elongated hole 61 facing the striker 28 on the right (fig. 811) which passes through this hole, as well as through those of the half-disc 60 and of the bottom 52 which were closed by the disc 18 in order to strike the primer of the corresponding cartridge.
By releasing the button of the handle 1, the plate 19 is allowed to rise again under the action of the spring 72 which brings the finger 22 back over the third tooth 21 of the disc 18.
To fire the second bullet, the plate 19 is lowered again, which causes the disc 18 to turn by the finger 22, bringing the hole 63 opposite the second striker 28 which is no longer stopped by said disc, passes through the hole , that of the half-disc 60 and one of the holes 57 of the bottom 52, to strike the second cartridge.
To reload the weapon, it is first necessary to rearm the firing pins 28, which allows part 1 to be unscrewed from part 2, then, to extract the empty cartridges and replace them, then to assemble 1 out of 2. The piston is rearmed. hooked 11 as said, and we assemble 1-2 out of 3-4 as already explained.
It is obvious that one can provide an automatic cartridge ejection device. To avoid accidents by inadvertently pressing the button for room 1, a safety and firing device has been provided. It comprises a sliding pin 32 (fig. 8 and 10) which passes through the bottom 25 of the block 51 and the wall of the recess 5 of the part 1 so that by pushing this pin either by one end or by the another, one of these ends is flush with the periphery of the part 1, while the other protrudes outside this periphery. On the ends of this pin 32 are respectively marked two letters F (fire) and S (safety).
This pin, which is pushed with the finger from one or the other end, causes the oscillation of a lever 33, mounted on the flat surface of the block 51 and comprising a stop 75 which engages under the plate. -detension 19, thus preventing it from being lowered when the button or plate of the part 1 is pressed. This is the safety position which corresponds to the end of the pin 32 bearing the letter < B> 8 When this protrudes out of the part 1. When this spindle is moved and the end bearing the letter F protrudes, the lever 33 has brought the stop 75 beyond the path of the pad 19, which allows the pad to be lowered to actuate the disk 18.
The mechanism could also be set up so as to allow more than two shots to be fired; if it were for example three shots, it would include three strikers to which correspond three barrels in the part 2. In addition, the number of teeth 21 of the disc would be increased by one tooth.
Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 are made of light stainless steel, for example duralumin. The same applies to the piston, the studs, the mechanism as well as to all the parts which may come into contact with the air. so that no rust can form.
In most firearms ,. the armed strikers are located directly in front of the cartridges. The mechanism described presents the. peculiarity that the cartridges are separated from the strikers by the rotating disc. This arrangement therefore allows maximum security to be achieved.
It goes without saying that the pistol can advantageously be used independently of the object in which it is concealed because it constitutes an excellent defensive weapon by its speed of activation as well as by the absolute safety which it presents at rest.
