<EMI ID=3.1>

<EMI ID=8.1>

Platinum mechanism for automatic pistol.
The present invention relates to automatic pistols in which the striker is brought into its
position armed by the trigger which abandons it when the
percussion spring is sufficiently charged.
The subject of the invention is a particularly simple embodiment of a platinum mechanism of this kind.
To this end, according to the invention, the striker and the
trigger are guided along paths close to the
the start of their arming race, the so-called trajectories
<EMI ID = 1.1>
armed position so as to release it from the action of
trigger.
The striker can in particular be guided rectilinely while the trigger is supported by a lever
swivel directly actuated by the trigger
The invention also provides that the slide and the
organs to which it is connected during all or one
part of its course are established in such a way that the
forward movement of the slide after recoil se- ,.
<EMI ID = 2.1> moving with the said slide does not sufficiently start the primer.
In the case of a lock mechanism: for automatic pistols in which the firing pin is cocked by the trigger, the invention also provides for the arrangement of the entire lock mechanism including possibly the trigger in the form of a removable assembly supported by the carcass of the weapon.
According to one embodiment shown, the trigger is carried by a pivoting lever on a removable part fixed inside the frame of the weapon and
<EMI ID = 3.1>
aforementioned towards its initial position, the said lever being
articulated on the other hand at the end of an actuated arm
through relaxation.
In order to allow easy removal of the whole
removable above, it is integral with a plate closing the rear of the weapon handle, so
that the entire turntable mechanism can thus be removed,
through the back of the handle.
Other characteristic details of the invention will emerge from the remainder of the description of the accompanying drawings by way of example. In these drawings:
Fig.l shows a longitudinal section of the rear part of a pistol established according to the invention. <EMI ID = 4.1> in fig.l, the removable part of the mechanism being in the process of being removed. Fig.3 shows a perspective view of the mechanism <EMI ID = 5.1> Fig.4 shows a perspective view of the firing pin.
According to the embodiment shown, the striker 1 is guided rectilinearly in a corresponding suitable housing of the slide 2. This striker is provided
at its rear part of a nozzle 3 which normally bears under the action of a percussion spring 4 against
the spout 5 of the trigger 6. This is movable longitudi-

<EMI ID = 7.1>
said lever 7 and biasing the trigger 6 upwards, the movements of the latter are however limited by a pin 10 passing through a notch of suitable length 11 which is formed in the. trigger 6.
The lever 7 supporting the trigger is normally maintained and returned to the position shown in fig.l by the action of a spring plunger 12 which acts on a shoulder 13 integral with the lever 7 which can on the other hand be actuated in the direction on the contrary by the trigger 14 to which it is connected via a rod -15.
<EMI ID = 8.1>
particularly simple if the trigger 14 is actuated to the right, the lever 7 will be pivoted and the firing pin 1 will be driven towards its cocked position; the said striker can then be released only when
the trajectories followed by the nozzle 3 and the nozzle 5 'will have separated sufficiently for the nozzle 3 to be released; -: this
which will occur shortly after the organs have
reaches the position shown in dotted lines in fig.l.
<EMI ID = 9.1>
its spring will ensure, as it is known, the. percussion in the cartridge and then the recoil of the slide 2
<EMI ID = 10.1> <EMI ID = 11.1>
As is known, the slide will then come back forward under the action of the recovery spring 18 and at the same time a new bullet will be introduced into the barrel.
According to the invention, the. said slide and the organs to which it is connected during all or part of its stroke are established in such a way that the movement
<EMI ID = 12.1>
a reduced speed, the means used to obtain this reduced speed may be of any kind and it is possible, in particular, to reduce the speed only at the end of the race.
According to the embodiment shown, the recovery spring 18 being relatively low and the mass of the slide 2 as well as the friction that the latter undergoes being relatively large, it follows that the speed of the slide when it returns to the 'front will be relatively weak so that the end of the striker does not sufficiently start the bullet and the percussion is not thus achieved.
Under these conditions the striker will again occupy the position shown in fig.l so that it will be necessary by an appropriate arrangement to allow the nozzle 5 still located behind the nozzle 3 to come
<EMI ID = 13.1>
new striker drive towards 1. ' rear of the weapon.
For this purpose the posterior face of the spout 3 as well as the anterior face of the spout 5 are inclined so as to act as a ramp, thus causing the '. Descent of the

spring 9.
It should be noted that, according to an embodiment not shown ', the recovery spring
18 could be omitted by using the spring
<EMI ID = 16.1>
The invention also provides a safety device .. constituted by a rod 19 sliding in appropriate grooves formed in the walls of the handle of the weapon. This rod 19 is thus guided between the bottom of said grooves formed in said walls and the

safety penetrates 'into a notch 21 of the arm 15 joining the trigger 14 to the supporting lever' 7, the trigger the safety is on the other hand performed by the penetration

<EMI ID = 19.1>
The longitudinal displacement of said rod 19 is achieved by a portion 24 projecting outside the handle of the weapon; the longitudinal movements of the rod 19 are also limited by the spindle_25 entering a buttonhole 26 of said rod
It should be noted that according to the invention the slide does not protrude at any time from the rear part of the carcass.
<EMI ID = 20.1> the striker is extended at its front part by a plate 17 arranged vertically along the median plane
striker and the length of which decreases downwards.

the organs of the turntable mechanism including the trigger form a removable assembly which can. easily be removed from the frame of the weapon.
For this purpose the lever 7 supporting the trigger 6
is pivoted around an axis 8 supported by the ears 27 of the part 28 inside which the spring plunger 12 slides.
The same axis 8 also serves as a support for the lever
29, the lower end of which acts as a store stopper. This pivoting lever 29 is urged towards its po-

. According to the embodiment shown, the part 28 is integral with a plate 31 forming the rear part of the grip of the weapon.
The entire plate mechanism and retainer will be easily removed from inside the frame by

The entire plate mechanism can then be withdrawn from the frame by driving the trigger 14 on the other hand via the pivoted rod 15.

It will be seen by examining FIG. 3 that the lever 7 has two shoulders 34 which abut against the corresponding shoulders of the lever 29 when the said <EMI ID = 26.1>
